Wraiths are pretty Boring
He is super easy to play. He just gets too move fast and gets a free hit if he catches in the right place. Not to mention his add ons are some of the best a killer can have.
Every Wraith I've faced seems to bm anytime they get while also bringing some basic perks that work with any killer. ToO some he might be fun, but I don't get it...
When you play Wraith you are missing out on actual fun killers and just are running fast, then you whack. Kind of just always been a flawed concept.
Now he isn't UNFAIR, he isn't GOD TIER, he isn't BAD either. He just the peak boring killer. If you think someone is more boring, I get it, just at least every other killer has something that makes them stand out.
Not Discouraging anyone from playing him, just needed to see if I am alone on this. Who is boring to all of you? Comment below.

Even though I'm your average Blight Enjoyer, I'm also an Average Wraith Fan. Being able to completely shred through pallets with Shadow Dance and then close the distance and create a 50/50 scenario is just an enjoyable time. It's much less taxing than playing Blight, even though he is also far less powerful as a result. A better question would be why do people enjoy Legion or Michael, who are far more basic killers than Wraith, who has the potential for insane plays with his boost, same with pig.

Pig is fine, Michael has a thing and it's fun when he goes silent and gets a grab even. Michael takes skill at least. Legion is boring as he suffers from the exact same issue
Wraith might be fun to you, but he isn't more fun than any other killer.

Some people don't find running laps around structures full of holes and windows that they can't even see over but their opponents can fun.
I like the hit and run, it makes the game interesting for me and i have played against it and won so i don't see your issue.

Bring a flashlight, windows of opportunity, and spine chill. He becomes slightly more tolerable when you can either predict him or delay him for long enough to make it to a decent loop

I personally find all stealth killers boring, it's like no I'm the blendette here. Nothing against them of course.

I would not say he “gets a free hit” usually players who are unaware sitting on a gen or choose to be in an unsafe area of a map tend to see this as a problem.
Instead of blaming Wraith for poor map design, try to stay in an area where you are close to a pallet or a vault. Solved my problems playing against him so far.

You acting like you never are in a dead zone or someone wasted a pallet in ur area before hasn't happen to you. Open fields is so easy. He is lame and you not addressing his boring game play is proving me right.

Wraith doesn't get free hits, bad Survivor awareness gets punished. Hit and run is a very engaging tactic as your not assured the killer will stay occupied in chase. Boring is trapper chasing you and no traps are set.

Trapper has a thing. Traps and he is a bad killer so it isn't his fault where he is rn. Wraith isn't bad and when I say he gets free hits...he does, there are maps where pallets are too far spaced and he gets free hit with whirlwind. It's a boring mechanic. It's just moves faster for a few seconds. There isn't any skill and you bad survivor awareness is the only way he gets free hits is very ignorant.
If you play survivor, you don't get unlimited pallets and you can get screwed by RNG. To say only bad survivors get caught in a dead zone isn't changing my mindset of him being boring. He isn't even broken or unfair. Just boring. It's a free hit at times when you don't have anything nearby. Especially with some of the BEST add ons a killer can have

Sadly for Wraith, he’s joining Spirit and Legion as the least enjoyable killers in the game.

Legion is the same issue. Spirit is just guessing. Going zoom and a easy hit isn't really a fun match to play. I think Deathslinger as well fits the boring mold.
To say he is challenging or fun is hard for me to even see. Just me though

Being aware of my surroundings and watchful for the killer is my Survivor play style. I don't rely on pallets as a main defense, but do stay mindful of there spacing or if already used. It's not a free hit when lingering on gens or out positioning yourself. That's just high risk decisions with the outcome dependant on the killer not being occupied chasing someone else. If being cut off before reaching a second loop is an issue, focus more on avoiding the chase to begin with.

You have your opinions, i have mine.
I currently own every single Killer, and none entertain me as much as Wraith does.
Flawed is also just wrong, he simply appeals to things you don't like, and of course fun-to-play is very much subjective.
I like going fast and whack, i love that simplicity.
I really don't care for building up Plague to get Corrupt Purge, not for Blight pinballing around, not for Huntress throwing #########, not for Ghost Face being able to t-bag, not for Shape being Shape, etc. etc.

He is a killer where the killer player has the option to relax too. Nothing to setup (trapper/hag) or build up (Oni/Myers/nemesis). Nothing to aim (Deathslinger/Huntress/plague) or painstakingly control (Billy/Blight/Nurse) and so on. Simply him and his bell.

I love Legion, hes fast paced. I feel like a coked out metal head runnimg around stabbing everyone 50 times. Its fun, hes weak sure but hes also underrated.
Myers is a lot of fun in lower ranks, hes awful to play in reds. If i see the game throwing me a lot of purples and greens ill play as him.

You know whats boring? Running circles around a car, drop pallet, repeat. Any killer that can quickly break that up is fun in my eyes

Speak for yourself, playing Wraith is fun as hell. The speed around the map feels so good and you don't waste time searching for hiding survivors - not because of All-Seeing, I don't run addons on him anymore, but because people don't have enough forewarning to sneak away.
I'll still commit to ordinary chases most of the time, but having to drop a chase doesn't feel punishing on him like many other killers because Wraith is so mobile.
I agree he's a pretty unfun killer to play against in his current state, but that doesn't go both ways.

This won't surprise anyone who's paid attention to my posts but I can't stand the Wraith anymore. Playing against him isn't even the slightest bit fun. It's just guesswork, running, and free hits. I'm over it.

I don't think Wraith is op or broken or anything of the sort, but holy god is he boring as hell.

Well most of time I can be by a pallet or tile to not get hit. Just when someone uses all the pallets or you get open map, he gets some free bops. Not to mention Wraiths tend to not finish chase to go down the guy that just got unhook.

I just can't stand him anymore. I'm tired of people defending his cheap buffs by saying "always be by a window or pallet". Right, because generators and other things that survivors need to interact with are always next to one of those. Or "it's your fault that you got hit, he's easy to get away from if you're looking". Because, again, right, I always make the game put survivor items next to escape routes and spend the match spinning my camera 360 degrees to watch for his blur - which, once you see it, you're getting hit - as I try to focus on not ######### up my objectives.

If you have fun man, I'M GLAD. Appreciate someone is enjoying. Just i don't get the fun in his kit. Then again I don't like that Legion and Wraith style of leaving chases, especially when the game use to punish your score for that. Play with your Food is never ran either of them, but it be really good.
Being Lighting McQueen is fun, just not the whole I uncloak and whack and repeat. Especially when people cloak after hitting someone mid chase is just apparent they are relying on Whirlwind.

I try Michaels at red from time to time, he gets gen rushed like crazy. Blight I havent touched enough yet, I had some fun with him during mmr so i might give him a proper go at somepoint after all the lag stops

I find him really boring to play against too. There's nothing fun about getting hit for free over and over again when repairing generators.

Wraith, at least as a killer is fun as hell. His true invisibility and speed makes him feel like he's a proper hunter stalking his prey. Add to that his addons afford a wide variety of playstyle options and he's very enjoyable to play as. From a survivor standpoint I can see why he can be frustrating though.

For me hes mid-tier to play, not most boring but not top tier.
To versus as survivor, definitely low c tier, wraiths are not fun to face imo, especially if they have the wall hacks addon

Yea and I also have a blast running through the same windows / loops 3 times before I land a hit (sarcasm). I love wraith for this reason, you get to dictate a lot of those chases.

Most chase killers are boring to play and to play against. This is why Hag for example is so important for the game who is both fun to play and to play against.

Myers, Billy, and Doctor can be annoying, but they are somewhat different. Billy still different from Leatherface despite the same gimmick.
Problem is Legion and Wraith just move fast with no requirement to do so. Blight needs to bounce, Billy needs to rev...the other two just go fast when ever they want.

I think his lunge is a bit overtuned personally. Been running BBQ, Corrupt, pop and starstruck on him with all seeing / clapper and yeah.....matches don't tend to last very long. I can genuinely see why people don't like him when he's combined with exposed perks considering how easy landing the first hit is.

When I play him it doesn't even feel that rewarding either. No skill is involved, in fact all it comes down to is where the survivors are when you uncloak

Every wraith I’ve seen plays the same. They down the first player then proxy camp the hooked player and hit whoever tries to rescue. Repeat as needed. I always roll my eyes when I hear that bell becayse I know it’s a bogus match.

What is gen rushing? Do you kill rush when playing killer? Should survivors sit in corner of map as a courtesy at the start of each round?
