Sprint Burst VS Dead Hard

Which exhaustion perk so you pefer to use and which one do you think is overall stronger.

In my opinion, I like sprint burst way more as it allows me to work on unsafe gens and make them safe by sprint bursting away and sometimes with sprint burst it just makes the killer not chase you with the distance you gained. But overall I would say Dead Hard is better because of the extra time wasted for the killer

I prefer dead hard. I really don't like walking around the whole map having to use it and of I use it early and let it recover, I end up getting chased.

But it's just personal preference. Every exhaustion perk is.

Sprint Burst is by far, the best exhaustion perk. Next would be Lithe. Dead Hard is third, it's just not that great. Balanced Landing is last but can be 1st or 2nd best depending on the map.

Sprint Burst, Lithe and Balanced Landing all give you a lot more chase time, on average than Dead Hard will ever give you. (Balanced Landing only if the map is good for it).

I'd consider perfectly used sprint burst VERY SLIGHTLY better then perfectly used dead hard.

I prefer Dead Hard since I can't stand walking around holding a Sprint Burst.

Also, DH for distance is still ridiculously powerful.

I prefer balanced landing over both of those

I totally agree with you. But using Sprint Burst and Lithe perfectly is much much easier than using Dead Hard perfectly.

Sprint Burst is 100% reliable on any skill level and any latency level. It is the SAFEST and gets high returns.

Dead hard isn't 100% reliable, gets screwed by latency and just sometimes doesn't work. But, on any decent survivor, it is a 'Press E to extend chase by 20-30 seconds' power with 0 counterplay and ridiculous amount of carrying for just one greedy survivoid.

Both are absurdly strong and most survivors are lost without them (or most exhaustion). I think they're on equal footing.

Dead Hard ofcourse. You can make loops longer. And also T-Bag killer, when they try hit use Dead Hard. It is so fun. And drop pallet and T-Bag killer again.

If devs wanna keep this broken perk in game, we will use it.

Overall I like more Sprint Burst, it's a very versatile perk. Aside from using it in chases, it can help reaching places faster and can be used to semi-run without leaving scratchmarks which is very useful for being stealthy.

Dead Hard is good in chases, but 50% of the times it doesn't work.

Head on is the only right answer

I prefer Dead Hard, but Sprint Burst is the stronger Perk. It actually gives distance and makes basically every area a safe area, because you will reach a Pallet with the 3 seconds of running.

How? Using SB perfectly requires 99%ing it, which is much harder than just pressing a button for free distance.

Smash hit would like to know your location. (I wonder how much distance you get from running straight with smash hit actually if the killer decides to break the pallet really). I feel like it actually gives ya the most distance of the exhaustion perks.

I think it just depends on your playstyle. 1 is more for during the chase and 1 is for creating a large distance at the start of the chase. It's really your pick.

Sprint Burst. Yes, the walking around to 'save it' is a significant downside, but it does something that DH just cannot ever do: be useful in dead zones/places where most or all the pallets are gone. I like running SB with Fixated. Not only does it ease the 'walking to save it', but it also makes it easier to get SB back mid chase (if you can last that long).

I prefer dead hard, but think sprintboost is stronger. If you want to be chased and waste a lot of time dead hard is better. With sprintboost the killer will more likely switch targets, so he could find the weak link in solo que. But if you play in a good team or you are good at managing the exhaustion (sprintboost on command), sprintboost is better.

    Sprint burst is the best

Dead hard when used properly is a close 2nd and the more frustrating one as killer

It would give you the most but then you fight a slinger or huntress and cry :(

I've used Dead Hard for years, but I've recently switched to Sprint Burst.

I just got sick and tired of Dead Hard not working like it's supposed to.

Sprint burst. I’ve yet to trust dead hard to work in most cases so I stopped using it. If you can master the timing, dead hard seems better.

Sprint Burst is better, but I prefer Dead Hard because I can't stand walking everywhere.

Sprint Burst is the selfish play because you spend the entire trial walking while your team runs from Gen to Gen. Dead Hard is much more valuable as a tool to make up for loop mistakes, which is the only way a survivor gets caught in this game.

That said, Head On is the most fun exhaustion perk hands down.

I hardly ever just walk around when I run Sprint Burst. I use it to get to a gen faster right at the beginning of the match or I use it to run away from the beginning survivor grouping, so I can find a generator away from other survivors. By just a little bit of time of working a gen, Sprint Burst is back and ready to get away from a killer.

Dead Hard does not allow you to get to a gen faster or break up the beginning survivor grouping. Not using it at the beginning of the match is one of the most ineffective things you can ever do. The power of getting to another gen right away at the beginning of the match cannot be underestimated.

This. If you walk the whole match you're saving your sprint burst for nothing. Using it to get to gens faster and just travel faster is the best way to use it. And you can also 99 it if ur able too but walking wastes so much time

Dead hard is by far the best exhaustion perk, I'm a firm believer that anyone who believes otherwise hasn't tried it.
