Matchmaking in this game is BS
Why is the only way to play this game in a ‘competitive’ setting. And by that i mean you win games, u climb. U lose games you fall.
why cant i just play the game??? Against random survivors???? Like every other game??? Where it just matches you with other players for a quick match.
Instead theres this BS pip and rank system which completely destroys the fun of the game. Say i get to rank 10 as wraith, but now i want to try ghostface, im still having to face rank 10+ survivors???? Thats nonsense. I dont know how to play ghostface ive never played him before, so why does my wraith rank affect my matches as ghostface???? they shouldnt
matches should just be created for quick games, not trying to match up equally skilled players. It just creates a constant tryhard environment when im trying to learn other killers.
create a seperate queue for quick matches where mmr and skill arent what creates the game. Then you can have your pip system in an actual competitive mode. But i think that this being the only way to play the game is dumb and actually kills the game for a lot of casual players. I just want to play the game for fun, not to face harder and harder opponents

If matchmaking was just matching you against random opponents, you are still going to get matched against "Tryhards". Like your issue of facing people who are much better at the game with you would still exist and likely be worst.
Anyways, even though ghostface and wraith are different killers there's some basic game knowledge that can transfer between them and it would still be unfair for you as a rank 10 player to be matched with new players just because you've never played ghostface before.

Yet when rank resets happens it resets you to rank 20 against new players lol
and no. This games needs a casual mode where people can actually try out builds and strategies without facing rank 10 tryhards

A casual mode wouldn't stop you from facing tryhards.
Also rank reset only brings you down a color. Red goes to Purple, Purple goes to Green, Green goes to Yellow, and Yellow goes to Gray and Gray gets reset back to 20.

Just ignore it how??? If im rank 10 killer but want to try another killer for the first time. How do u suppose i go about doing that exactly???

I usually get a small group of friends to do customs and practice. It's not ranked and it just depends on the level of your friends

Arent killers all on their own mmr now instead of a shared one across all your killers?

not yet, it's something they want to do, but they have noted that there will be at least some base MMR across all.
Because M1 killers ( and some other) will all use the fundamentals of chases. It's not as if when we switch from Wraith to Ghostface we all of a sudden forget how to play entirely.
