How to manually lower rank?
I'm honestly getting discouraged enough to stop playing this game for a while. I'm so tired of being Gen rushed by a bunch of red ranks and i'm only a green rank. there is no fairness in that at all. And then to top it off, when the match is obviously over, the gates are open, it adds insult to injury when the survivors just run around the map and hang out in the gate taunting you when you don't benefit from it at all. It's really obnoxious.
How can I play with people more suited to my level of play? I'm sick and fkking tired of being cheated out of fair matches.

No way to de rank manually, you have to lose a match to be de ranked..

Try learning a killer you suck with. You'll lose a lot of matches but get a little better with them as you go and by the time you start safety pipping or ranking up you'll most likely be down a few ranks.
Or just be a not fun player and run wraith and stand afk in a corner so you can't be found or initiate chases or interact at all with the survivors.
Personally I'd recommend option one since it allows you to grow as a player and doesn't necessarily bring down the survivor teams you're paired with too since all they can actually do is objective and light bringer emblem.

Play Blight with default console sensitivity.

This, just go invis and watch some shows. You'll be deranked in no time.

You could be light burned by survivors with flashlights as wraith though

Afk wraith is the best.
Optionally you can put on late game perks like blood warden, noed, etc if you want giggles

Hopefully mmr will help with that. Red rank survivors have grinded so long to get good, and it shows. Trust me I know. I’ve died a lot.

You can derank by losing many times in a row.
However with how bad matchmaking is in this game, it doesn't really matter since game will match you with whoever it wants regardless of your rank

Deranking won’t completely stop that because of how terrible the matchmaking is. If a group of Survivors has been waiting long enough, the game will just throw them into any game. You could be a brand new rank 20 eager to have their first games only to get put up against super sweat teams all because they’ve been waiting longer than normal.

I believe dc penalties are off rn, so you can keep dcing and lose pips
