Farm maps too bright?
I feel the farm maps are way too bright. I have a hard time seeing auras on the map. Plus, isn't this "dead by daylight"? Pretty sure its day time on the farm maps.

The Realm Beyond, unsurprisingly, butchered those maps. Just like all of the others.

I cannot STAND the ugly green tint that they've added to the maps lately. It's literally disgusting.

I don't think that Coldwind is too bright. Maybe people have their brightness turned too high to give them an advantage? :)
That said, I liked the maps better at night. There are five of them, they didn't have to make them ALL daytime.

Auras and scratchmarks turned coldwind maps into hell. Not that they were fun to play on before, but still

I like Coldwind, I'm just sick of playing on it. Same with Autohaven. There are like 25 other maps, guys.
It's more high noon or late morning, really. Sunset would have different and more saturated, the light would be more subdued. Dead Dawg is an example of a sunset map.

Agree, Dead Dawg is good. Coldwind's are way to sunny.

Yeah I don't like Dead Dawg as a whole but it's got a relaxing evening color palette with a nice starry skybox. Coldwind is just...like the old maps were washed in bleach.

Coldwind sucks all-around. Of course, every time I use my expensive add-ons, it's ######### Coldwind.
I understand the need for there to be survivor-sided maps to balance out killer-sided ones, but I agree with the OP. I've thought about this just about every single time I've played it. It wouldn't be so bad if I could read auras and just have a shot at winning. I'm luck to get 2 or 3k on Coldwind, and a lot of that comes down to the map's visibility.
Maybe there could be an option to render all Coldwind maps as nighttime for killers or survivors who wanted it, and the rest could view it as usual.
(I could have sworn the Coldwind maps originally took place at night, too. Mandela effect? Glitch in the Matrix?)

I think they are perfect and the best map rework so far. Lighting is insane.

I'm torn on this one. When I play on PS4, the farm maps are too bright. On the Switch, the farm maps are the only maps on which I can properly see so that I'm not constantly walking into walls and getting stuck in unseen corners.

Auras, survivors scratchmarks are hard to see and the large sizes and visual monotony doesn’t help either. It’s boring and frustrating

They were better at night, they just felt more creepy and natural. If they didn't want to make only SOME of the maps bright daytime they could at least have had a day and night variant or something.
But you think it's survivor sided? Really? I've found Coldwind to be one of the more balanced set of maps, actually. I lose about as much as I win.
Gotta hold the home button and jack the Switch's brightness (assuming that you're playing in handheld mode, I mean).

So they WERE originally at night. I ######### knew it. I thought I must have hallucinated it... My brain has been in a weird place.
I recall people complaining about Coldwind's maps being survivor-sided back then because of the corn, but I never felt that way myself until the rework, even though I didn't realize it was a rework ("I thought this map took place at night... Hey, they were right, this map really does suck").
Yeah, not a fan of new Coldwind. Definitely survivor-sided. The night version was at least fair.
