Help Me Understand Survivors T-Virus Infection
I have been playing the game for three years and am baffled by the new T Virus infection status for survivors. What does it do to them? I know you turn blue amd it seems like you occasionally vomit but is that it? Does giving yourself a vaccine reduce the mutation rate? Even if it does why would you use one? I'm hoping I'm missing something but based on what I can find and my gameplay experience it really doesn't do anything to the player to harm them. I feel like it would be better if it killed you over time (like Pig's traps) or caused you to become exposed (like Plague's puke). Even more thematic, if you die during the match you could turn into another zombie for Nemisis to have more on the field.

The moment you are first contaminated, you are slowed by 20% for 1/4th of a second. Other than that, the only things it does are: make the survivor make extra noise, and allow Nemesis' tentacle/zombies to actually harm the player. It has no status effects beyond these two things.

The only thing that does is allowing Nemesis to damage you with his tentacle attack or zombies if you get close enough. Yep i know pretty vague. It could make you walk or run slower when you cough like in RE resistance but they didn't take this idea.

It doesn't do anything. Just makes it easier to down you when all syringes are consumed. When you are infected. Zombies will damage you rather than infect you and Nemesis tentacle attack will do same thing.

Dead Hard is no longer the only third health state.

like with plague, you coff and vomit, making you easier to track.
also zombies and the tentacle attack will actually damage you now.
this is all

Pretty much no penalty. Even the cough and vomit is a lot less than plague.
Since you are sprint bursting it's even more laughable that they had the hindered effect.
What probably happened is they had it more substantial and then nerfed it into oblivion for the release, because they would rather release a weak killer than an OP one.

That is what I was afraid of. I feel like it needs to do something else to give the player more incentive to use the vaccine and to also give Nemisis more incentive to use it. As a survivor it is basically a free health state so who cares and as Nemisis you are just giving up a hit now to possibly get one later. I feel like they did really good with the design and the zombies and just dropped the ball with what the infection does.

It is. This is the 4th health state.
