The Legion make No Sense!
Frank, Julie, Susie, Joey.
The Legion, a bunch of teenagers that ventured off the right path and had all become an organization of killers. They were taken in by The Entity and granted the ability to let loose their murderous impulses in the Trials...
But they make no sense under any circumstance.
The Legion, in my honest opinion, should never have become a Killer in the first place. They are a bunch of teenagers slightly altered by The Entity to give them powers that just exceed their own (and nothing more), and it really does show considering that their power is extremely weak, and their Mori just barely has them kill a Survivor.
Keyword: Barely.
The Legion is not only a laughable character in terms of their gameplay, but their animations and their lore. They're a bunch of punk teens who more than likely do not have the strength to go against trained military professionals, police officers, or a few other people in general. I especially find it hard to believe that The Legion would be able to take on all 4 survivors in the Trial at once; they're just a slightly buffed up human teenager.
In my honest opinion, love them or hate them, The Legion are probably the only Killer that are in the game right now that needs to be decommissioned. This isn't a suggestion or feedback or anything, this is just my personal opinion on them.
If there was more to The Legion than them being slightly beefed up teens with a crap Power that somehow, someway, can go up against the likes of supernatural humans like Cheryl Mason, or military trained professionals like Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, then I don't think they would be the single most laughable Killer in the entire game, and that's saying something considering we have Clown.
I wouldn't mind seeing The Entity throw them into the Void or something.

Legion is the embodiment of Reddit.

They're supposed to be alternate versions of the four main survivors. Suzie even has Megs pigtails (and Meg has a cosmetic Suzie mask) The concept was meant to be killers who pretend to be survivors but that didn't really go as planned and they got a more watered down power.

That first sentence is a complete lie if you take two seconds to investigate the characters we're discussing.
Meg is probably the closest to being Susie's counterpart, but it's also stated that Susie is the youngest member of The Legion,, as it's implied she was taken by The Entity as a Sophomore, whereas Meg looks like she's probably graduated high school.
Also, I agree that the concept kind of fell flat on its face. The Legion, as they are right now, are probably the least redeemable Killers in terms of playstyle.

And if you take more than two seconds you'll find various theories out there that support it.
Alternate versions, as in alternate realities, where in one, Meg/Suzie was brought up by her father instead of her mother, fell into the 'wrong crowd' and was taken by the entity earlier, etc.

Barely kills a survivor
yes cutting someone's ribcage open is just a scratchwound after all
You don't have to like the Legion. there are 20 other killers for you.
For me the thought of your friendly neighbours teenager going out at night killing people will always be more scary then some random made up monster.

It would be epic if they made megs middle name Susanne

That just seems like grasping at straws to me. There's literally no evidence for this in the slightest - less than no evidence, actually. Why would her name and face change when being taken in by her father? Not to mention the fact that if this theory is to be believed, then Julie is an allegory for Claudette, which just does not fit.

Their Mori animation has the Survivor actually fighting back, which means that The Legion can feasibly be overpowered with enough teamwork and effort, if not just by a select few individual Survivors. That's "barely" being able to kill a Survivor.
Under no circumstance should a character like Jill or Chris be bested by some 19 year old homicidal punk when they have years of literal military and police service on their backs, and in Chris' case, he's fought worse. Even if The Legion were powered by The Entity, it seems like they were given so little. Or worse I don't see how some probably 15-16 year old high school girl (Susie), even WITH The Entity's power can defeat a 25 year old military veteran and former officer of a special tactics force.
My point is that The Legion, in terms of their lore, physical attributes and abilities, just don't make any sense as to why they were chosen as Killers, or why they are even kept as Killers. In all honesty, they should just be discarded.
Facts before theories, my guy. This theory holds no real water and has little evidence to support it, if any. Just because they both got pigtails and wear masks doesn't mean they are the same person.
Plus there's the fact that Meg is American while Susie is also Canadian, which wouldn't really make much sense if they were the same person.
I'm going to agree and say that the Meg is Susie theory is a load of bologna and that the developers didn't actually put THAT much thought into every character and how they are connected.

Megs mask is from a crossover with Deathgarden, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. Reaching pretty far from that theory. Also the two look and sound nothing alike.
2 -
You seem to forget the entity has power over everyone's strength.
2 -
Sounds to me the problem lies more with Chris then? How would amanda overpower a 25 year old military veteran and former officer of a special tactics force. Or Ghostface. Or Clown. Leatherface is also just a human. How would a mere human stand up against the supersoldier
By your logic it's better to discard Chris then right? Instead of half the killer roster
Cause if this is such a problem then BHVR can't make any killers anymore that aren't some overpowered monstrocity. seems like a lot of creativity going to waste. Better just discard Chris so we don't have to worry about things not making sense in a video game.
Also I've been to knife training. If you are unarmed against someone with a knife who knows how to use it you're always at a risk. Don't care what training you got, how beefed you are or what special forces you belong to. You watch to many movies.
Not to mention that in the games Chris can die to a decomposed corpse biting him. He's not the hero in this game and therefor can't enjoy his usual plot armor.
Whatever you say. A killer that people payed for and enjoy won't be discarded just because you don't like a character you're fangirling over getting killed by them.

I mean, call em souped up teenagers all ya want, but that soup lets em pick up the Girth That Is Jane Romero with one hand and sling her over their shoulder.
As a grown, reasonably fit man, I doubt I could pick up my preteen brother from the ground and carry him on my shoulder (while he is actively resisting) with one hand, even if i shotgunned a can of Campbells beforehand.
The entity is a helluva drug.

I'm not even a fan of Chris, but I can still tell when The Entity's power just wouldn't be enough for one Killer. If all four of the Survivors just teamed up on The Legion (which is a thing that's already done because The Legion is just that bad in-game), they would probably end up killing them instead of the usual way it's supposed to happen, because The Legion is that weak.
I want to discard the Legion as a character, but I don't want to completely disregard the entire concept, no no. The Legion can still be a Killer, but it would have to be under a different identity, something that would make much more sense in the context of the game and what The Legion was originally seemingly marketed to be.
I'd rather The Legion be discarded in their current concept for something a little more imaginative and less likely to be a Crappypasta knock-off.

I agree that Legion, as they are now, is by far one of the worst designed and least threatening killers in the game. There's no arguing against that. Some people can still like them anyway. But that won't magically change the standard of what years of evolution has baked into our brains as "a threat".
What I will argue is that the concept of Legion still has potential. If their power was controlling and/or placing Legion members around the map strategically then I think they'd become not only much more interesting to play as and against, but they'd also finally get that menace factor they've been missing for so long.
A single teenager with a knife isn't much of a threat. But 4 teenagers with knives flanking you and coordinating together could be very scary!

Yeah, I was about to say that. If I recall correctly, David tried to fight against Trapper and that didn't end well for him.

You're again heavilly underestimating how much difference a knife makes.
4 unarmed people vs 1 with a knife will more often then not lead to 4 dead or heavilly injured people. Any good self-defence instructor will tell you that when you face someone with a knife. That your best bet will always be to run.
I'd rather people let people enjoy the character they like and find a character they like themself rather then trying to change everything to fit their needs.
The characters of 3 teens being manipulated by a person to become vandals/killers is way more imaginative to me then some spoopy wendigo monster that can teleport or a giant demon feeding on blood.
Cause the first thing is something that can happen in real life, has happened in real life and will happen again in real life. The idea that one of your kids later get manipulated to become monsters is horror to me and many others.
You don't have like it, that's fine that's why we have so many different types of horror. But then stick to what you like instead of trying to throw away what others like

They're just edgy teen rejects that went on a killing spree because Jasmine (or whatever) confused AC/DC concert tickets with ASMR therapy sessions.

Any good self-defence instructor will tell you that when you face someone with a knife. That your best bet will always be to run.
Can confirm, this is what I was taught in taekwondo during our self-defense portion. The best defense against someone wielding a knife (or pretty much any weapon, really), is to run away.

Did you know that Susie is actually Mag?
Just an interesting video from a youtuber i like:
The idea of 4 teenagers is pretty bizarre and creepy, but it does not make sense that cops survivors can't take control over them, indeed.
0 -
It is simply because of the Entity. If Survivors like Ash, Bill or Leon tried to fight against a killer, they would die.
0 -
I... what?
Okay, first off. They're meant to be a darker counterpart to the original 4 survivors. 4 members (meg, Claudette, Dwight, and Jake), 2 guys and gals, looking very... well, normal, and sharing similar vaulting animations. They were originally also going to have a disguise thing going for them, but that was change late in development because it was too unfun for both sides (insert Old Legion joke here), hence the misleading trailer.
Two, they have a knife. That's a big difference. When you fight someone with a knife, you will get hurt. It's why any self-defense instructor will tell you to retreat if possible.
Third, you consider THEM laughable, when we have Trickster who is left visibly panting and excerting himself when running...?

Leatherface (Bubba Sawyer): Extreme durability, devotion, and strength (he can swing a chainsaw like it's nothing), and then there's the fact that he always has the hyper-adrenaline rush going due to having no idea of what's going on and being terrified of everything. Oh, and he's armed with a chainsaw. He's borderline superhuman in the end.
Ghostface (Danny Johnson AKA Jed Olson): Advanced intellect (just think for a moment about his add-ons and backstory), years of experience as a serial killer, deep connection to the Entity, and of course, he analyzes his targets' actions and movements specifically to bypass any defenses they could use to impede him.
Pig (Amanda Young): Utilizes victims' stress, fear, and distraction to land lethal blows without resistance. Plus, her sadistic streak and her knowledge of machinery and toxins combined with the opportunities to apply them give her an advantage that can't be discounted.
Clown (Kenneth Chase AKA Jeffery Hawk): Anesthetics and depressants filling your blood, lungs, and brain make it a bit difficult to fight back against an actual athlete with actual decades of experience in indiscriminate murder. Plus, the obvious... weight advantage.
Legion (Frank, Joey, Susie, Julie): Bad at stabbing. Inexperienced. Extremely young. Not all that bright. But they can run pretty fast due to the Entity, so hey!
0 -
What, and the pig isn't? I remember saying this back when she released that David would body slam her. Leon did RE4, you think he couldn't suplex the hag? Freddy is a manlet, Jeff could f his S up in a straight fight.
Bill is a veteran! A veteran. He'd open the med kit and stab half the cast to death with the scissors.
But Legion is the one that's unbelievable?

The Legion (Frank, Julie, Susie, Joey): A group of ruthless teenagers; they can sprint extremely fast and make use of their size and agility to vault pallets and windows in a similar manner to survivors. Due to the Entity's assistance, they will never run out of energy as long as they keep stabbing, and additionally they can unnaturally sense the presence of any survivor near them. Thanks to their knowledge on the subject, their stabs and slashes cut deep into the flesh of their victims, causing them to bleed out if they do not address their wounds.
You're really underestimating them.
