Problems with DC'ing

Man, it's been a while since I've been on here and played DBD but I started playing again a couple of weeks ago. Glad to be able to t-bag people with Ghost Face again. Anyways...

---------------------

Imagine disconnecting the first minute of a game just because you heard the Deathslinger on a Bill(me). Since they had TTV next to their name, once I lost Mr.Slinger, I checked Mr.TTV's stream while hiding in a corner and texted around the lines of 'Why did you leave us'

Their answer: "It's a Deathslinger on Haddonfield like, it's not great content. I have no moral obligation to be there and you can DC too if you want."

Hey.

Deathslinger can be difficult. In general, slugging, tunneling, proxy & face camping especially is frustrating. But, that's why there are THREE OTHER PEOPLE WITH YOU. Granted, this is solo-queue and the best communication you can do is pointing and beckoning people. However, please don't use that as an excuse to just give up immediately. I can get DC'ing when you're dead on hook and downed. I can also somewhat understand when you have to kiss Nemesis when you've been hooked for a long time. (FIGURATIVELY SPEAKING)

I wouldn't even be making that much of a fuss and make this post if I didn't use my toolbox to sabotage hooks. I managed to buy time and got to one generator left but, it was all for naught in the end. Besides, a Dwight Dc'ed after Mr.TTV left so it was just me and a Meg. If anything I was surprised we made it that far.

It was almost as if we could've won if we were more selfless and didn't result in other players losing their items and de-pipping COUGH COUGH.

----------------------

TL;DR Be more selfless (Unless the situation says otherwise). Don't be like Mr.TTV and leave immediately because 'It's not great content'. Actually, play the game for two minutes at least LMAO.

---------------------

Anyways, I'm going to hop back to Ghostface and text survivors what their favorite scary movie is. See ya-

This is why i leave game the second i see ttv. Too many experiences like this where they dc. They either admit it in stream or try to cover up and say omg what happened? Then they laugh. Probably not the best ttv players with huge audiences but the smaller ones for sure.

They can DC without penalty right now, so they will.

I been getting DCs a lot more often lately, It's mostly SWFs though DCing for their teammate to get hatch. Somewhat sucks because I can't get my BP for all hook states, I don't care that much but I hope people don't start relying on DCing when they play against killers they don't like or DC for hatch.

Whenever I play killer I never slug to prevent the hatch because it's so boring when I can just move on to the next match.

When a survivor is lucky and found the hatch first, then it is what it is. If you think it's only fun by getting 4k then do not complain when survivor DC, because survivors have no obligation to cater to your 4k play style either. Does it suck for the others when a survivor or killer DC? Absolutely. But you can't control someone just because they don't enjoy the experience and want to quit. There are players who will always DC regardless of the kind of penalty. Sometimes you just have to realize that this is just a game and move on.

but why would you even DC on death hook when you can just wait 5 seconds to get points??

To make sure the killer knows you don't approve of their playstyle.

Survivors are sick of the same boring narrative and try hard killers, while being told the game sucks just because they aren’t good players. You want to play that way? Fine, then expect dcs. It’s not ideal but it is what it is.

I know most killers don’t comprehend the idea of a game being fun for ALL players. They only care about that 4K. Survivors are sick of being placed in one sick fest match after another. I know I am.

Oh don't get me wrong, I don't slug for hatch either. Most DCs this week have been after I pick them up to put them on a hook. I figure they either know, I know where hatch is or their teammate found it before I could get to the closest hook. I understand it's a game at the end of the day, however it doesn't stop it from feeling like a free way out. Specially without the penalty. Though, penalty is gone for good reason (That being console players crashes more often after this update when playing the game.), so it's expected people will abuse the free DCs right now.

I never said it's fun to get only 4ks either. If I think someone plays well and they are the last person, I'll gladly carry them to hatch or farm with them for a bit. Whenever I try for 4k, It's because I'm running perks/offerings that give me more BP. I need all I can get for the teachables I can get for both killer and survivor. So it sucks when I use good survivor pudding or bloody streamers and I can't get fully value out of it (video at the top for ref)
