Why do blights always use the same build (Rant)

Yep. Although PTB Blight was terrible (not really terrible, just weaker than most killers), Blight post-PTB is really powerful.
After my hiatus I went back to DBD and practiced Blight in October. I got hooked into playing him and realized he's really fun to play as and actually a solid killer.

Because when you play against top tier teams (just watch tru3talent vs oracle on youtube) you basically have to take 2-3 gen perks and if you play even slightly off meta, you lose.

For all the people who ######### about this perk or that one (on both sides, killer and survivor), this is the solution. There should be so many meta, overpowered perks on both sides that both sides have an advantage and you'll never know what you're up against. That's the only way to address balance issues while still keeping things fun.
Games would be more exciting in general. I think Leon and Jill's new perks are a step in the right direction with this.

To be fair, you need the match to last long enough for you to be able to practice.

Personally there is a big reason for why I use the same build day in and day out with blight
I enjoy focusing on playing the game and using my power well rather than balancing power usage, with perk usage, with x y z usage, it limits the amount of factors I need to balance while playing a relatively easy to learn complex to master killer
my general gameplay loop as blight is use my perks for information and play nice (to a certain extent) based on how the survivors play and the perks somewhat protect the survivors since they slow gen speeds and tell me where to apply pressure usually I don't feel rushed to kill survivors and gen to enjoy a lot of 12 hook games where hopefully everyone got to participate and while it would be nice to reach this goal without perks I just don't see it feasibly happening anytime soon, on top of that still need to compensate for time losses to survivor meta perks I see it as a fair compromise to bring some perks to extend game time as they bring perks to also extend the game and chase time

Tinkerer has always been oppressive on any killer with decent mobility. That's why Blights tend to run it.
Ruin and Undying is still an incredibly powerful combination and seeing as he comes with Undying it's dumb not to run them together.
I honestly don't enjoy Tinkerer like ever. It's always obvious when a killer has it and 9/10 times it's not going to be a good time especially if they go fast.

Its the best build for blight. And even tho I find it annoying sometimes, they have every right to use whichever perks they want.
Just as any other killer and survivors can use the meta perks of their own preference

They don't. Broad generalizations do nothing to further an actual discussion.

Because it's a good build. Simple.

Yeah I agree it’s a very sleeper build. Most of them aren’t even good it’s just the perks carrying them.

It's perfectly normal for people to use the best possible thing to achieve winning. It's the same with other ways around (Survivors with all metas)
Never blame the player for using things available in the game.

Nah, the other perks need buffing. Seriously it's not fun running the same perks but no one want to a bully simulator. You shouldn't nerf things because they're meta, they're only so meta because the other perks are so bad. I'd like to use surge but limitations on limitations
