Does anyone use Insideous in a ermm "legit" / fun way?
this is not a rant, just me wrecking my brain.
We all know the insideous basement bubba "meme" but I wanna know, can anyone conceive of a proper usage for that perk?
I mean I tried to use it recently as plague to camp a hooked survivor purely for that "get two in 1 puke" challenge....it...failed but oh well, dont know that if you dont try right?
But yeah, 2 seconds to go quiet is not a lot but I just dont see it working really unless maybe in combo somehow with some perk that allows you to see the survivor (Im all ears or so) to MAYBE use it ot mindgame?
Maybe make it go quiet instandly but have ti take the same amount of time to go completely quiet so the survivor has more of a reason to think the killer left?

If you pair it with Tinkerer, you may be able to fool a survivor into thinking you left chase because a gen hit 70% elsewhere.
I've also seen it pair really well with Franklin's as an Item Defender build.
Maybe pair it with Stridor and post up in a high traffic area with your volume at 100% XD

Sometimes with dragons grip, but I usually use trail of torment instead

I have seen a streamer that tries to use it as Twins to make people think they switched character. Or as was mentioned already with Dragons Grip. Or as Nurse paired with Noed behind an Exit Gate.
in the end, it is an stays a Meme perk and nothing more though.

I have seen a clip on Reddit like a year ago where someone successfully used Insidious to pose as one of their madness illusions while playing Doctor.

You can use it with Doctor to pretend to be an illusionary doctor. It might work well with the aforementioned Dragon's Grip. Still a meme though.

Insidious & Dragon's grip makes a funny combo.
I used it on Deathslinger in 10 matches. Won all of them.

I tried a couple times, to bait survivor near a gen or something, but I found every application of Insidious very high risk/low reward since most of the times you just waste your time standing still like an idiot.

Ambush at gens. Confuse survivors mid chase at loops.

I remember when I first started concentrating as killer...I would always use Whispers and Insidious.
I haven't used either in literally years.

Imo Insidious is a perk from early era DBD that is in need of some love. It definitely doesn't find much use outside of meme builds.
