Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

An incredibly easy solution to linked sets:

Give people a piece, 2 pieces or 3 pieces from the set that doesn't clip with other cosmetics and doesn't cause issues with licencing.

EG:

With Janes set, you are allowed to use the head separately, the body separately, but if you equip the skirt then you must use the body that comes with the set.

With Twins' set, unlink it all because I've broken it and shown that there is no clipping issues on any part of the set with other cosmetic pieces.

With Onis Legendary Furry skin, you can use the weapon separately, but if you want to use the body or the head you must put on the other part (If you use the head, you have to use the body and vice versa).

With licenced characters/skins, you do not need to unlink sets as everyone knows that them characters and skins aren't really under your control.

This would require minimal effort. If you want money you can force people to buy the whole set if they want the separate pieces.

Also, please reduce the price of Jills set to 800 cells because the head is the same as the default.

I like this idea, hell when you mentioned that sets arn'y clipping there is one that is, and thats PH fire skin, which pisses me off I can't mix and match them

They really need to take advantage of the option to do sets that have two linked pieces and one unlinked piece. They could go further to allow what you described, letting players use the top without the bottom but using the bottom requires the top, but at least they should stick to two-piece-links whenever possible.

There's so many cool combos people can do if they just let us use pieces from sets that don't clip.

Linked sets would not be a problem if they were like this. I get that they don't want clipping and I get that licenseholders can be fussy sometimes, but they've really gone on a roll with linking outfits for no discernible reason other than to link them. Twin's pig outfit, Yun-Jin's socialite outfit, the inconsistent Crypt TV skins, etc.

Having certain links that didn't go both ways, like the top of a dress being usable on its own but the bottom of the dress requiring the top, would be beautiful, but I'd settle for just freeing things like survivor hair and killer weapons or anything that on its own caused no clipping issues.

This is the most reasonable take on this whole linked cosmetics topic! I really hope the devs consider this.

The Twins outfit has absolutely NO business being linked. The body nor the head cause ANY clipping issues when mixed with other cosmetics. The fact that they made it a set is completely asinine to me.

I got the twins set and broke it, it looks so nice comboed with the set head with the black "dress" or the black kerchief put with the set body.
