Is it a bug or hacking when somone escapes without being last man or all 5 gens done

Happens my last game they had 5k points then disappeared from the match saying escaped

    It's a visual bug. That person got disconnected.

    That achievement can only be done when all the generators have been completed and all 4 survivors have found the hatch. The hatch spawns under certain specifics of how many gens have been done and how many survivors are live. These are the circumstances in which the hatch will spawn on the map

    4 Survivors alive = When all gens are done

    3 Survivors alive = when 4 gens are done

    2 survivors alive = when 3 gens are done

    1 survivor alive = when 2 gens are done.

    I recommend you follow your own advice and do some research yourself before telling others to do the same when infact YOU are in the wrong

    @MandyTalk @Peanits could either of you clear this up before a argument spams this thread please and got he ones saying it happens it don't and if they lagged out why did they have the 5k escape bonus

    Do your "research" indeed. Hatch doesn't spawn after 2 gens completed with 4 people alive.

    Since everyone keeps debating the facts, here's the link to the wiki article on it: Black Lock Visibility

    The Hatch will become visible ("spawn") whenever the number of fully repaired Generators exceeds the number of living Survivors by 1. This is true for the following scenarios:

Four Survivors: 5 fully repaired Generators / Exit Gates  are powered
Three Survivors: 4 fully repaired Generators / 1 Generator left
Two Survivors: 3 fully repaired Generators / 2 Generators left
One Survivor: 2 fully repaired Generators / 3 Generators left

    Fun fact : Hatch also spawns when with one gen done, but everybody needs to die first. I saw it happen once when only one gen was done, and I was sacrificed.

    The formula for the hatch to spawn is :  

    Number of Generators Completed = Number of Players alive + 1

    Dude hatch is a legit hack
    It's a part of the games lore not a hack and it use do be slot worse then now I've looked at original games and it spawned even with 4 gens left if it's last man but now it's set to 1 more then survivors I'm on about it looks like they might have either lagged out and got a escape bonus from the bug or hacked it so they got 5k without trying

    Also, let me repeat for you, it's not a hack or a bug that let's you escape, but just a visual HUD bug that sometimes displays a disconnection as the escape icon.

    No. If the number of players alive + 1 generators have been completed, the hatch spawns. For all four to use the hatch, they would need to fix all the generators.

    Could be hatch, could be a bug, could be a hack. It's hard to say for sure.

    Could be hatch, could be a bug, could be a hack. It's hard to say for sure.
    Thanks and hopefully this clears up the argument also if it's a bug then hope it gets fixed soon and I could give you the link for it

    The hatch WILL NOT spawn when only two gens are done and ALL FOUR survivors are alive. If only ONE survivor was alive with two done, it would. You have to do gens equal to the same number of survivors alive +1.
