Anyone else getting too many DC?
Killer or survivor I am getting way too many DC in every game :(
Please Devs, bring back the penalty as soon as a you can.

All of us are in the same boat. I'm between a rock and a hard place. I've been grinding and completing the Rift for some friends who are deployed so only just NOW starting on mine. Normally I wouldn't play at all until the penalty is back but if I do that, I might not complete it. I want those new duds for Bill and I like the Blood Moon. So I'm stuck playing in these matches that don't complete or I can't actually do the Rift because half of them bail.

I bought the rift pass too because I love the trapper skin... but yah, these DC are making it very difficult to enjoy the game and get some challenges done. I don't have all day to game, only a couple hours :<
We really need the penalty back... sadly this community isn't mature enough to police itself.

The reason the DC penalty is temporarily disabled is because ppl get randomly kicked out of games or have to DC bc it's unplayable, re-enabling it before fixing the bug would punish people suffering from the bug and wouldn't change the number of DCs by much (considering ppl who DC just to DC do it anyway when the penalty is active)

The only players who have been disconnected have crashed. No intentionally disconnects

I had a game against ghostface. Within the first minute I was the only survivor left. Just ruins the whole game

That is true... people dc no matter what but there has been an increase.
When the first player goes down and DC I don't believe its a bug. It is just people taking advantage and that is what I am seeing almost every match. It is making the games unfun and also getting challenges done slower.

Every other game. Either survivors ragequit the first time they go down, or they ragequit right before they're about to die. Yesterday I had a David ragequit right before I was about to bring him to the gates and let him go for leading me on a merry chase. I just managed to get adept Nemesis a few minutes ago despite two survivors RQing on death hook, though they did rob me of iri Devout because of it.
Also had killers DC when running Lethal Pursuer, which I assume means they didn't like where survivors spawned.

It really does :< When you have limited time to game and you have already wait in queue... having someone dc because they dont like the killer or they are first down is VERY frustrating.

This is exactly the stuff I am seeing!
I get there are bugs and such, but the DC influx isn't bugs... its people throwing tantrums and taking advantage of the DC penalty missing.

The people who dc are also the people who try to die on first hook and then walk up to the killer if they get rescued before dieing.
The DC penalty doesn't force people to play a match they don't want to be in.

True but at least by dying on hook the killer got their hit/down/hook (which could be for a challenge they are working on). It still screws over the remaining 3 survivors which is still pretty bad but there is nothing you can do about afk/suicide.
There is something that can done for DC tho and that is the penalty.

I've seen streamers take advantage of no penalties and DC because they didnt like the map, killer, etc

Sorry but this is either wishful thinking, bias or naivety.

If the penalties were still on and those people would dc anyway, we wouldn't have to deal with them for a few hours after a few DC's from them at least. That's what the penalties are for besides being an incentive to avoid this behaviour. Giving the normal players without any real life ordeal or with enough backbone to play the match out, some distance from them.

The only players I’ve seen disconnect have crashed, and how do I know this? They lose connection and are as of right now almost all console players. When they crash it takes the last input they made and continues it until it confirms they dropped from the game. This would be like a guy running into a wall and just sliding along it.

Then that is your own anecdotal experience. Just like mine is that the amount of people that either dc on first hit/down or even at first sighting of what killer i am playing, has drastically increased to close to at least one person per trial. And since it is getting after 8 pm now here in Eu, there will probably even group DC's since, also from my anecdotal experience on PC, the amount of swf will go up like everyday.
