World's greatest mysteries.
With Huntress, it makes sense because she can chuck a whole health state at you from across the map. Trickster can get 1/8, 2/8 of a health state before you become very aware that he is after you and start running. He can't really do anything meaningful to you without you predicting it, so it makes no sense that he gives you the extra warning. It just serves to hamper a killer who's already really disadvantaged.

I don't get it, I watched 2 videos on this and don't hear anything.

watch the video and you can hear what is like a hum(like a machine or ambient hum). some people thought that was the start of his terror radius but its actually his lullaby. They tried it with insidious and even though insidious was procced they could still hear the hum.

His Lullaby is very hard to hear when in a game and its actually at its loudest when youre around 30m away and fades away when he gets closer, this actually makes Monitor still work on him.

They've changed this in the 5.0.0. patch. The lullaby now extends to 40 meters.
Because, you know, Trickster was too powerful.

You know, for a killer with less range than Myers, the Devs seem to think that he's more deserving of typical mobility or ranged killer counterplay than Nurse.

Trickster is one of the best killers atm. He excels at long range because he can easily chain 16 knives on 40m distance. Survivors need a way of knowing he's nearby or they'll go down instantly.

It’s part of the design for ranged killers, don’t know why people are so surprised. It’s not even that noticeable unless you are specifically keeping an eye out for it.

Deathslinger?

It isn't though? Prior to Trickster's release, we had exactly 2 ranged killers. Deathslinger and Huntress. One has a lullaby, one does not. That means it isn't "part of the design". Heck one could even argue that we actually have 3 ranged killers because Pyramid Head has a ranged attack and also does not have a lullaby.

I tried to watch another video but all i heard was what seemed to be ambient noise, nothing that sounds like humming or anything like that.

The Trickster should have a lullaby. He is a K-pop music themed killer after all. He should make noise and mess with sound. But not like this. This current lullaby is pointless and cement him even more as the worse huntress.

Everything about Trickster's power: "Why?"

This was a bug that was fixed in the RE chapter.

Im aware they changed it, and theres a very small part of his Lullaby thats actually noticeable, I would say within 24-32m. Anything higher or anything lower is significantly quieter, like if youre repairing a gen you wont hear it
Source: I played a custom and put on Insidious, used my alt account and played as survivor to see the damage

the devs incredibly over estimated him at release
