Resurgence loses value vs Deep Wound?
Used Resurgence against a Legion, and after being unhooked, The Legion swooped in and tagged me and the rescuer with Feral Frenzy. As he was chasing the rescuer, I was expecting a quick heal after mending only to see my 50% healing progression was nowhere to be seen.
I don't recall the Deep Wound effect resetting healing progress prior to this update, so this confused me much.

FF puts you in the injured state so it reset your progress.
Pretty sure this was always the case

I think it always did reset your healing progress when you go into deep wound. Same thing happens when you have BT and you get hit with resurgence.

But in the case that you're already injured taking a FF hit?

Yeah the healing process always reset after Deep Wounds were applied, that’s nothing new.
it makes the perk Resurgence less valuable against camping/tunneling killers even when those switch targets.
maybe an additional effect of this perk could be to transfer healing process towards the Mending process so it at least isnt completely worthless in this situation and can also be applied outside of getting unhooked?

Or have Resurgence trigger from being unhooked and after fully mending.

Legion's Feral Frenzy sets your status to "injured" meaning any healing progress is lost as if you were hit from healthy.
Any chance said legion's name was either nascar bubba or the silence

Yes, FF just reapplies deep wound and injured state.
Not 100% sure of this but it wouldn't surprise me if Deathslinger and Borrowed time deep wound effect did the same

This is intentional. Deep Wound is still treated as an injury. Perks like Second Wind that would otherwise heal you to full from injured will instead "Mend" you.
In the case of Resurgence, Deep Wound is treated as a timed health state.

Only if that hit applied deep wound. It does not reset healing progress if you get hit when you have MoM up.

Yep. It's why Resurgence isn't really a great perk. Maximum of two uses per game, and it can be made useless if you have to take a hit with BT. Could've been a really interesting anti-tunnel perk. Not sure how they could FAIRLY buff it.

Yeah getting stabbed by legion takes a health state and adds deep wounds. Thats always been true as far as im aware.
