Update on the 5th Anniversary Event Dates
For anyone here not using Twitter, then it's been announced that the start date for the Anniversary Event will now be June 30th (Wednesday). The end date is still July 15th. Based on usual schedules we can guess this will be around an 11am EST start time, though this has not been confirmed.

It's starting early! I have slower internet so dbd hasn't evened updated on my console yet but oh well this will be my first event so getting kinda excited.

Would like to know if an update is required.
I assume all the stuff required was added in the chapter update but I'm not certain. Just with how slow my internet is I really don't want any sort of an update during the event. Hot fix or otherwise.

Assuming we'll get our 2nd hotfix patch this Tuesday with the anniversary starting the next day. If not then it's unlikely we'll get a patch and things should be in the game files already

Honestly, I am not that excited for Event Items. Those take away the room for Cakes in Survivor-Bloodwebs, and I prefer Cakes (if they are stackable, what I would assume) over Event Items.
Also, I never use Event Items, because Killers often enough bring Franklins when they see Survivors with Event Items.

I just wanna hear the confetti (and be able to get to multiples of 5 because every other item except for anniversary ones are multiples of 5 and it is frustrating)

Are they bringing back the fourth anniversary crowns or those actually going to be an exclusive to the fourth anniversary? I hope we're in for a big surprise in this event is amazing.

Makes sense to start June 30 instead since July 1 is Canada day and most, if not all, will probably have the day off. This way if anything breaks the game more than it already is when event gets activated more will be around to try to fix it.

Well that's what I'm hoping. Don't want to wait till play the event because of another hot fix (that basically fixes nothing).
Literally the exact same lol I'm only saving bloodpoints so that when the event starts I can get a bunch of gateaus. I don't care about useless toolboxes/firecrackers or medkits I'll never use. Flashlights I would like but I really do only care about the gateaus.

The confetti is ok on the flashlight but useless otherwise lol I'd rather get my extra bp gateaus since they help me unlock more stuff in general.

Yeah, once I get the RE-Characters to P3 I will also save BPs for the Event.
But again, I just want to drown in Cakes. I like the Anniversary Flashlights a lot, but whenever I use some of them (most likely with a White Ward), the Killer brings Franklins and this is too annoying for me, so I just gave up on using them.

Lets hope the patch day before event starts will fix all crashes, FPS drops and make new map playable.
