Is this forum like 90% killer mains ?
Most of the threads i see are basically "nerf survs"
I noticed that, if someone dares to defend survs, or having opinions against killer gameplay, hes immediatly, mocked, not being taken serious, while all the ones blaming survs and anything that concerns them gets tons of upvotes..
It's my impartial point of view tho.

I don't think killer mains, but people who see things mostly from a killer perspective. A lot of people play both sides however have a serious preference to one side, so most of their opinions and decisions are made with that preference in mind- for example, I prefer playing survivor despite maining killer due to queue times and the fact that teammates are... yeah, teammates, so most of my opinions are formed from the perspective of someone who enjoys survivor.
A lot of people on these forums see things from a killer perspective, and that's completely okay. Lord knows that without killers continuing to play we wouldn't have a game and survivors have, and do still, need serious nerfs.
But on the flip side it's good to have people from a survivor perspective because there are definitely issues with playing survivor that need to be resolved, as well as having people who play impartially to reign everyone in when their ideas get far too absurd.

I try to play 50/50 so that I can understand issues from both sides. It was a decision I made prior to joining the Forums, since I was a Survivor main.

No, this forum is not made up of 90% killers, and I'm sure many of these same killer mains you see mocking survivor-biased posts would also mock killer-biased posts.

Edit 2: for the record, I don't see myself as an either side main as I play both sides relatively equally. Maybe a 60/40 in favor of the killer side

I've been using the DbD forum for about three years now.
Back when the forum was fairly new, I would say the membership was split 50/50. 50% were killer mains and 50% were survivor mains (roughly speaking). However, recently the membership has skewed toward killer mains. Not sure by how much. Obviously this fluctuates back and forth. Some of the old forum members have moved on, new people have joined, and of course people change their perspectives.
As a reference, the Steam forum tends to be killer biased. And the reddit page is fairly neutral with a slight survivor bias.

I wouldn't say it's anywhere near 90% but it definitely seems like there are more killer biased players than survivor biased players here. Maybe they're just more vocal, though.

I'm a killer main but I try to see both sides. Like I personally think DS should activate more than once. I'm going to speak my mind if its something I disagree with I disagree with it.

I definitely agree that the forum and r/deadbydaylight are disproportionately killer sided. I play both sides and consider myself to have a pretty balanced perspective, but on here I feel like I end up talking down killer-sided perspectives way more often than survivor-sided ones.

Nowhere near 90%. I like to think I'm pretty neutral and will call out bullshit wherever I see it, on whichever side that may be, and I see a bent towards the killer POV on this forum. Not extreme, but present. It may just be because the forums tend to discuss high level play and treat it as a baseline more than low or medium level play, and high level play is where power shifts away from killers.
That said, when it comes to horribly biased players that have nothing reasonable to say ever- perhaps this is just the lay of the land for the two months I've been on this forum, but I've seen way more insane survivor posters than I have insane killer posters (the type that thinks literally everything the other side can do is OP, it's a conspiracy and BHVR coddles the other side, and everyone who plays the other side is evil and bad and trying to ruin the game for poor [my side]s.) There's a few posters I've pegged as pretty bad on the killer end of things, but most of the off-the-deep-end posters I've encountered as of late are survivors.

Idk where your only seeing survivor nerfs but there's been endless complaining about killers and killer mains on those forum.
I mean you'd have to purposely as its hard not to see dozens of them a day here.

I do feel like there is a bit more killer-bias here, but I wouldn't say it's shifted the forums as a whole. With that being said, I do believe it's because killers have more balance-related problems (ex. not being the power role in high ranks, etc) so they tend to speak up more.
I've had many times on these forums where I'd defend a point from one side and be called a "killer main" or "survivor main" which has always made me laugh considering it happens so often. I always try to keep my arguments as unbiased as possible but some people just feel like anything that differs from their opinion is attacking them, to which they then do the same. Funnily enough, I've even been called a killer main just because of my Oni profile pic despite playing survivor 95% of the time. Weird.

Yes, definitely. There are more killer mains than survivor on the forums. The squeaky wheel, don't you know? They live in a constant fear of their easy mode being balanced so they shout the loudest here. Take note of how many 'vote ups' any suggestion that is killer sided gets (or conversely how few a survivor sided suggestion gets) and you can easily see that this is a fact.

I’m a survivor main, and IMO, survivors don’t have a clue about how survivor sided this game is. I dabble in killer just enough to understand the problems plaguing killers, and the entitled behavior of survivors.
The game is in desperate need of MMR, and then a method to massively buff killers against higher end teams and players. Survivors have it super easy and have no idea.
If you main survivor, then go ahead and play killer until you make it into red ranks, and then tell me the game isn’t survivor sided. Go ahead.

I'm a Killer main and I can recognize that this game is killer sided. It's not an issue with it being "killer mains", but moreso with it being people letting bias cloud their judgement.
The game starts off killer sided when you are new. Then switches to survivor sided. And then eventually goes back to killer sided once you get good at a killer. It's so easy to just smash a game or get at least a 2k every game by playing very fair/giving some (or a lot) of mercy.
And then if you add on all the really strong perks killers have been getting lately, then it's just overkill.

No, it isn't. What you are suffering from is called "confirmation bias" and it is pretty typical of people on Forums. Most of the people here who post regularly play both Killer and Survivor, often in equal amounts. What people don't take seriously are fuzzy thinking, poor logic, hyperbole, and other fallacies like the one you indulged in when creating this post. I don't care if you are saying something dumb about Killers, dumb about Survivors, dumb about maps, or dumb about anything, but I am going to tear any such nonsense apart and toss it in the bin where it belongs.
But let's start with you and your promotion of this false dichotomy, that there are Survivors and Killers outside the game. There aren't. There are just Players, period. Most of us who love this game and play it regularly want it to achieve the best balance possible. We also understand in a game with his many variables that perfect balance is not possible. This is a chaos engine, with each and every person taking part adding another level of complexity and uncertainty. All that out of the way, do you have a REAL topic you want to discuss?

No. You don't have to be a killer main to recognize issues killers face, nor do you have to be a survivor main to recognize issues survivors face.
PS: I shoot down killer suggestions quite regularly and don't get mocked for it.

Well, I'm a survivor main because of the matchmaker and how much easier survivor is. If I get killers who are better than me (within reason), at least I know I can still win (escape). If I get survivors who are better than me, I'm basically #########. Once MMR is released, though, I'll go back to playing killer (and play more often as well).

I think it’s an exaggeration, it’s just that survivor mains make ridiculous claims and suggestions that would make killers more laughable than serious.
It’s what you get when the player doesn’t play both of the roles. You don’t have a fair perspective and many of what a survivor/killer may find unfair goes both ways.
