Do you make friends in game?
I never got to know anyone even though i played with nice people.
I don't know about sending them a friend request, because most of the time I'm afraid it's not a mutual feeling for them, to be my friend.
I'm not a social butterfly and i know the mood when you don't want to meet people but play the game. so yeah, i always think that everyone is chilling and not looking for friends.
Share how you got to know people and became their friend 🙂

I’ve made a couple of friends off of dbd. But they’re usually on different platforms so we can’t actually communicate. Just last game i became friends with a 3 man SWF cause i saved 2 of them with head-on and another with flash bang.

There's no friends in this game, just like in Mario Kart. XD

I have made a lot of friends in this game. Often, when playing killer and mutual respect for each others gameplay led to conversations, then the inevitable, "Do you play survivor, want to join us/me?"
My main SWF is my wife and daughter, our fourth is a couple of friends we have made over the years just gaming.
And, my lady and I also have our own pool of friends we play with when my daughter is working or bored with the game for a bit.

Outside of meeting a friendly streamer, I havent made a friend through the game.

No first of all I'm 43 and I guess most are younger players, second I have messages turned off on Xbox so they can't write to me and I would never contact any other player.

Yeah, but most of the time they are on different platforms.

If I have a friendly game with someone, they're on PC and we have a nice chat, a friend request might get sent and I'll play games with them for the next few days.
The only lasting friendships I've made were with streamers, though. Which makes sense, since there's more of a reason to keep coming back and stay in contact.

No.

I have made a ton of friends through the game! Most have come when I've played killer -- I've sent GG messages to people who've played really well against me -- but I've also sent messages to randoms who've been survivors in a match with me or to killers who've also played really well. The people I SWF with (with the exception of my friend who started playing the game with in the beginning) are all people I've met in this fashion. 🙂

Thanks. My daughter got us into the game, and now she doesn't have to carry so much, it is pretty fun.

Nah, I’m rather introverted so whenever someone invites me to a party or messages me I usually shy away from it.

I used to when the game first came out on ps4. I made a bunch of casual "oh hey you're on? Let's play" friends and then a few where we would msg each other to plan a time to play. But we've all drifted for one reason or another and now I prefer playing alone. I don't really want to strategize or communicate too much, I like to just do my own thing.

Not sure if I would say I actually made some friends ... I had some conversations with a couple of players after the game, almost exclusively survivors I had played against as killers, who offered me to join them, but I had no mic for awhile so I couldn't join immediately, and they never asked me again later.
I played a couple of rounds with an SWF who I had played against multiple times and who were always sending friendly messages after the match. Again, they didn't invite me recently so I'm not sure I'd say this counts as "I've made friends in the game".
I still hope to get to know some friendly people who play well because solo survivor is so frustrating and unfun. From my experience, playing killer and playing fair is the best way to get to know nice people, at least on PS4, it's rare they offer to join though and I don't like to ask. As survivor, rarely people ask me to join them before the game, I don't like that because often these game turn out to be a complete disaster and I really don't want to be in comms with them then. I'd be happier if someone came up after the game and say, good match, do you want to join us?

Not really friends. Sometimes I get friend requests after a game from another Survivor, but I feel quite uncomfortable to accept those, so I ignore them.
There is one Killer-player, we once had a good laugh in the Postgame-Chat (they were playing Spirit and a Bill said that they were cheating and that he has Evidence)... So we all (my SWF-Mate, myself and the Killer) waited in the Postgame Chat for said Evidence, sadly nothing came.
Since then, whenever we get paired against each other, they let my SWF-Mate and myself escape (and everyone else in the Trial). I do the same if I am Killer and they are Survivor, however, they most of the time escape on their own... :D

My gaming buddies and I met on F13 where there is in game chat. At one time the group was large, but there were 4 of us that got along best. Been playing together for 3 years now and moved to dbd.
you could send a friend request and see if they accept. If they don’t, I doubt it’s personal as you seem nice.

I haven't exactly made friends, but I have learned of a few small streamers that are pretty cool.

I have made several good friends from this game.

I've made 1 friend ingame. They murdered me in cold blood as nurse and I for some reason added them. Been friends for 4 years now.

If there was crossplay chat I would most likely have some pc friends in the game friends list

Yes. Some people are nice, i am adding them for play with them more.

90% of my friends list on ps4 are players from Dbd. In most cases they add me or chat me first and I add them back and we'll usually play like one or two games together and then after that they'll just sit there in my friends list. I can only think of one person I met on Dbd who I actually talk to on a daily basis.

I've definitely made a lot of friends over DBD. But we don't really have a relationship outside of playing games together.

I've made a couple.
Most of them are acquaintances. I have crossplay turned off, so I play with the same people over and over.

Ive actually made some really close friends that I hang out and game with. I even met my boyfriend (of almost 9 months) because of this game. I hate socializing, but I was able to meet some incredible people after having them as killer or vice versa! :)

Adorable 😊

Ive made plenty of friends through this game! Usually it's a mutual respect cause either one played real well but oddly enough most my friends I've made on DBD are killer mains lol I'm a survivor main. But i also don't shy away from invites anymore cause you can meet some really cool ppl. Some aren't lol but most are.

I can relate. I'm honestly afraid of socializing with others, so I don't make friends ingame.

You can’t be afraid of that stuff. If they don’t wanna be your friend then their loss. Plenty of others will be your friend. You can’t please the world accept that for both this game and real life. Take what you get and leave the rest.

and ya I’ve befriended people as the killer lol

Actually I have. I was a solo survivor and this Meg saved my life, I tried helping her but the killer wasn't having it, I was forced to leave her. I felt so bad, I messaged her apologizing. She just chatted ever since, now once a week on Wednesday we play Dungeons and Dragons with some friends of mine over discord
