Keys are so fun..
1 Survivor dead, one gen left.
Played as trapper and i perfectly trapped the last gens and exit gates.
All i get it flashlight clicking, Tbagging and 3 survivors escaping throug the hatch.
Fun.

Yet so many claim keys are weak and don't deserve any nerfs. They're only weak if the team is weak and isn't properly using them.
I'd really love to see if devs have enough foresight to fix this with their key rework or if it's going to be a failure that won't address these issues.

I very rarely see anyone call keys weak. Weaker than old mori’s maybe but not weak in general

Also dont you love when someone comes up with excuses like ,,At this poin you lost anyway" or ,,When survivors got so far they deserved the escape"
If there wasnt a damn key i would have gotten ATLEAST a 3k.
I had such a nice 3 with one gen COMPLETLY trapped (with addon that automaticly reputs traps every 30 secs)

I have been screwed over far more than I've ever been helped by keys, but I guess killers don't realize that. Oh well. I hate killers that camp and tunnel. It is what it is. And it's not like we don't know a change is coming to keys. Think killers will ever stop camping and tunneling?

Not as fun as the 100th key post this week thinking complaining about it will speed up the rework of keys. It will take them atleast 6 months to change keys

What does key have to do with camping or tunneling? Camping and tunneling is a legit strat, just like using keys.
Nowhere did i complained about survivors who use keys in general, i complained about keys itself.
But people like you can only make ,,them vs us" anyway

Forums exists for people to say what they think, what they like and what they dont like. It doesnt matter how many posts already exists about a topic as long as its not a simple question.
Besides that, not everyone is 24/7 on the forum and knows every single post.

My point with Keys is they are not that common.
And if they are so commonly used, then they are lowering a kill rate that is in the 60% .
So, if this is also true, and they are as problematic as people like to say they are, then without them we would see a significant rise in kill rates. Which would result in killer nerfs. 🤔
But, no one seems to want to discuss how this is a truth, if they are indeed so strong and so prevalent.

So just because something is rare its okey to stay?
So as a extreme example: murders are okey since they are rare compared to non murders?
And by that logic.. : Why did moris got nerfed then? They were pretty rare too despite being broken.
Does that mean it wasnt a problem and they were completely okey and didnt needed a change??

I think you missed my point. I am not advocating for keys. I am saying that this was probably one game all day. Sux, sure, but not that big of a deal.
But, if indeed, they are as problematic as others have attempted to indicate, then they would be drastically lowering kill rates, and having them removed will then raise kill rates, leading to killer nerfs. Once again, if they are as big as a problem as others like to claim.
Mori did need a change, it promoted unfun gameplay, mainly, tunnel dude off hook and eliminate them asap. Keys, why I do support a nerf for them, may become a problem if they are indeed so strong, because of potential to raise the kill rates.
So, nerfing keys, could lead to killer nerfs.

even IF it would lead to killer nerfs, they should fix it asap. Technically there is NO counter to keys right now except killing them off before hatch spawns which is extremly difficult for some killers in red ranks.

Certainly can understand that, but what counters traps at the exit gates. Keys, of course.
But, honestly, IMO, they can get rid of the whole hatch mechanic completely.

Keys are weak, until the hatch spawns anyways. Like oh yay an item that essentially gives us information that you can get via perks. The only real reason to bring a key is to open the hatch which if you are going for the 'Where did they go' Achievement requires every gen to be done anyways.

By that logic moris also were weak since you couldnt use it anyway unless the survivor was hooked once already.
Keys are not that strong when 4 people escape by using it but its busted when 2 or 3 people escape by it with 1-2 gens left.

Mori's are a different kettle of fish entirely. like I said before keys are only strong when the hatch spawns. Outside of that they have no really practical use that can't be done with a perk (and perks sometimes can cover multiple key aura reading options). You realize that in order for multiple people to get out via hatch they all have to be near it when the key user opens the hatch and they only have a short window to use it right? If the hatch stayed open until the killer closed it that would be one thing however i think it only stays open for about 10 seconds or so which is definitely not a long enough time for multiple people to get out. If it happens its either because 1 the killer did nothing to get rid of the key (i.e killing the key carrier and what not) or 2 the key carrier was part of a 3 or 4 man swf team.
