Is this Camping?
Why do people call it camping when I hook one of the last two survivors and wait at this hook. What do they expect me to do? Search the whole map for a single survivor and most likely let go of the third kill?

It is indeed camping.
But, why care? You know what your doing and why. So why give a ######### what others say about it?

In this situation and when all gens are done and survivors are alive, guarding the hook is the best play. Doesn't matter how people call it

Yeah, but it’s tactical. It’s the best thing you can do for yourself and at the end of the day you’re a killer. You’re supposed to kill.

The term 'camping' is somewhat subjective, and the act of camping is 100% allowable by game rules (even if you hook your first survivor of the match and just stand there and stare at them until they die), so I wouldn't worry about it.
No matter which side you play, people will accuse you of all sorts of nonsense. As a killer, I've been accused of tunneling in a match where I only managed to get a single hook. As a survivor, I've been accused (by the other survivors) of doing nothing all match to help the team even though I had unhooked and fully healed 2 other teammates (one of them 2 different times - the very one who said he was reporting me for not doing anything all match), completed one generator completely on my own, and one other generator with a teammate.
I don't get it either, but unless you are breaking the actual rules of the game you just have to let it roll off your back.

Its the smartest thing you can do. Why are survivors so upsett about it. its not like i camp everybody I hook. Just this one Person cause its a free kill if I do. I dont get why you get insultet this much for it

It's camping and it's a logical move given the circumstances. They're not mutually exclusive.

Camping is just a tactic, not a bad word. Sometimes it is the right tactic, and sometimes not. You do what you have to do in a given match, based on the scenario.

Yes it’s camping and you know it. People need to stop justifying this

Tell me what you expect the killer to do instead?
One survivor hooked, one other survivor left, all gens repaired. What would you do?
5 -
That's right but NOT how YOU intended. People need to stop justifying what they do, because as long as they are within the rules nothing requires justification. Camping, Tunneling, Slugging, Herding, the Mori, and so much more you don't even KNOW yet are all just tactics and perfectly acceptable to use. None of them require justification, nor should any Killer feel they have to meet certain criteria to use them. The only things any Player in Dead by Daylight needs to do to be a good sport are:
- Don't cheat, either by lag spike or hack.
- Don't disconnect; if you start a game, finish it.
- Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.
That's it. Everything else is on the table and golden. No justification required. :) So look we "kind of" agreed on something. :)

Find the other survivor

And where do you think the survivor might be going?

Where is that survivor going to be, when the only objective left is a hooked survivor?
If you leave the hook to find that survivor *somewhere else where they're not realistically going to be*, then you risk them both escaping.
If you stay close to the hooked survivor until you see some sign of the other one, then you can pretty much secure that 3rd kill and maybe bait out a 4th.
But yeah, I suppose killers should just go stand in a corner and let everyone escape. You're supposed to let two survivors go you know, to be fair, because a 2K is a 'draw' and that's what nice killers aim for.

I mean by definition it’s camping. Your reasons or explanation aside, there’s no other word for it 🤷♂️

Teleport to another map next time !

It is camping
But so what, like you said its the legit choice. Dont let survivors trick you into not making the right call if you want to win. Camping and tunneling are allowed

If the gates are open, someone's on the hook and I have no means of downing someone else before they get out. I'm not leaving. If there is NO WAY for me to down someone else then there is no reason for me to leave the hook and give up my kill.

The only people that feel the need to justify it are those thst have an inkling of empathy left. The rest of us had that killed by survivors long ago. Enjoy watching me watching you rot 😈 (in game of course i hope you live a long happy life irl 😁)

When did he say gens were repaired? Why is everyone assuming that?

You do you but if the survivor is smart they won't get the unhook when you are camping, so you're still losing a kill.
