How do you apply gen pressure when you're one killer?
I'm doing the killer thing where I have a bad match and come on the forums to complain.
The advice I see is if someone is good in a chase you just leave them and find a different survivor. But what do you do against 4 survivors who are all expert runners? The early game was a sign this game was no good, I was having a decent chase and then 3 gens got done at once.
I've seen pros saying that against a good survivor team you have to completely change your gameplay and just play tag, but unless you're running sloppy they just heal through it.
I just feel really powerless as killer against a good team of survivors. I feel like I have no resources and no recourse except to just accept that the game is unwinnable for me. And that's not why I play killer. That's not the fantasy of playing killer. And it is terrible for the health of the game because it just makes me want to take out my frustration against the next group of survivors, which just furthers the cycle of toxicity.
What strategies are there against a team that plays perfectly?

ruin is cleared in the first 30 seconds. Remember, this is a scenario where the survivors are good, not a game you can win normally. Ruin undying is a strat I need to try but I don't have undying teachable unlocked yet.

So what you have to do is use corrupt, thrilling tremors, ruin, and noed. Got yourself a somewhat decent gen regression build.

You have to let first two gens go most the time, at start. Use that time to herd them to a 3 gen type scenario. Never commit to one chase for too long. Stay patrolling, and practice makes perfect the grind in this game is unfortunate
the biggest thing killers do is focus on one player. Maybe that player looped them or hurt their pride, but they stay focused on one player and then complain they lost.

Play as nurse/blight/spirit and be REALLY good with them

If you have 4 survivors who are crazy good at looping and you can't get downs quick enough then there's not much you can do, especially if the other three are working on gens in the meantime
The only thing you can do really is hope that you can keep switching targets and eventually catch one in a deadzone or at a weak loop to get a hit/down, then from that point on you should have some okay pressure
This is an example of why camping and tunnelling are viable strategies, because if you still want a chance at winning against a team like this, these strategies are unfortunately sometimes needed

What do you do when all survivors are good chasers? Well, first you have a build with at least 2 gen slowdown perks, maybe more...because ######### build variety, survivors are holding M1.
Two, from the start of the match, spot an area of around 4 gens. Focus all of your attention in keeping that area, try to make it less obvious at the beginning, but dont ever give too much of a chance for survivors to do gens in that area. Try to chase around that area to create dead zones.
Once you get one survivor, put them in the area you want to control. Make that unhook as hard as possible.
If you see the survivor deactivating their DS, down them and hook them again. In fact, if you can afford to, get rid of DS early on. If the survivor doesn't have DS then you know you can get them out of the game on the next unhook. If they have DS, you make them regret it later.

Get the first down and use their altruism to your advantage. I've turned a 0k all gens done into a 3k against teams like that because they refuse to let one person die. Drop unhook grabs and slug as much as you can in those cases.

Use pop goes the weasel and focus on stopping gens from getting finished instead of killing people. They'll get tired of healing eventually and run out of resources to heal quickly and some will just refuse to heal after a point. Then you catch em when they're trying to sneak a gen. Hook, pop goes the weasel, next gen/survivor.

Ruin/pop/corrupt/bamboozle is my go to. Corrupt so theybdont rush the first gen. Ruin so they look or totems and regress gens. Pop if they cleanse your ruin and bamboozle to cut the window loops short. Also maybe injure 1 and chase the other one if you see 2 survivors.

You need to be constantly thinking about, and enacting upon ways to keep the survivors out of a chase occupied with things other than always staying on gens.
For example: my number 1 Main is Clown. I can’t just mindlessly chase 1 survivor till I can hook them, after the other. I am very proficient at ending chases fast, but I still want the other survivors to be preoccupied with things other than gens as often as possible. So if I see survivors grouped up together I injure as many as possible. I will often make sure at least 1 survivor is slugged at a time so that they’re not doing a gen, and somebody else has to go and help them up (or they waste their unbreakable). Survivors will stay injured for a little while until they realise just how much faster I’m ending chases in just 1 hit, so now I’ll have the survivors wasting more time regularly healing whenever they can. Simple things like this slow down gen repairs a lot.
Then there are killers where game slow down is actually in their power. Knowing when to use Static Blast as Doc to ensure more than 1 survivor is at Madness 3 every 2 minutes minimum helps stall the game by a HUGE amount, especially on indoor maps with Calm or Discipline (or both) making it really difficult for survivors to tell where Doc is, and make them regularly skittish.

This. to add, just give them a reason to hop off that gen. some killers are much better at achieving this than others. sometimes you can only stall for the gates to be powered. Sometimes you need to slug and or camp. It's not very enjoyable for the other side but neither is gettting metaphorically beaten to a pulp as killer. if you are in a situation where you know winning is an imposibility, try to secure one or even two kills. It won't be a perfect game for them if one or two people die. There will be games that you cannot win. You just have to accept that and do what you can.
People can offer perk suggestions all they want, but optimal survivors will push through even the sweatiest of regression builds. perks can help with the pressure but it overall comes down to optimal decision making and switching to a... less favorable playstyle

The way this game work is if the killer is good and face a good survivor team the killer will lose 100% of the time.

Depends on the killer.
A lot of people will tell you to use ruin or corrupt (see above) but these last only as long.
Depending on what killer you play the best way is to look what they can do.
For example: forget M&A, stbfl and reload addons on deathslinger. Thana + Spike and Barb Wire can be a blessing, one cause people don't expect that on slinger, and two cause it buys you some time to move around the map.
With plague a lot of people call for the use of addons to boost corrupt purge, but if you got a decent memory it makes more sense to use addons that increase the infection duration on object and the effectiveness, allowing you to mark gens and patrol those blocked by intervention and maybe tremors
tremors is in general a decent perk

Without knowing what killers you play it's hard to offer specific advice, so I'll try to keep it generic.
If playing a setup killer that needs time to setup portals/traps/etc. Corrupt Intervention is almost mandatory. You want time to setup your web so making sure they have to walk into it is optimal.
Regarding the Pop vs. Ruin/Undying debate. Ruin/Undying is better when you're a killer with less map mobility. If you're playing Freddy, and you run Ruin/Undying, on a killer who can literally teleport to generators, you're doing it wrong. Same with Hillbilly, Demogorgon, Nurse, basically anyone with high speed map movement. For more standard run and chase M1 killer Ruin/Undying usually keeps you in the game longer while you focus on chases.
As you mentioned, Sloppy Butcher can help, but sometimes it's a double edged sword, you WANT survivors to heal instead of doing generators and making it take longer may cause some of them to just say screw it. For a killer like Legion or Plague this makes your power useless and you just become an M1 killer (though plague does get at least one cleanse per match now, so that's nice).
Lethal Pursuer is an underrated perk, getting into a chase immediately upon game start and just running into the area with 3-4 survivors will cause good early disruption. I'm aware this perk lasts 9 seconds of an entire match but that's a small price to pay to not have that awkward 30-60 seconds of walking around looking for someone only to hear that damn generator complete sound.

I’m gonna be completely honest. If you’re not playing a viable killer, you’re gonna lose to the high caliber of survivors. I know sounds fun only being able to play four or so killers to beat the top % but that’s how it is.

Always apply a mini form of pressure against them, injure them and leave them if they're running to a jungle gym or somewhere that can be extremely tricky to beat.
If you have one person injured and another downed, that's decent enough to buy some time. Grant it, survivors are healing rather fast, so if you'd like, put on Sloppy Butcher to get some extra time, though this might encourage survivors to work on gens first then heal instead of heal first then gen.
If need be, down a survivor or drop them if you absolutely need to. An example being is when someone tries to hide next to you, but they did it poorly so you go after them and maybe down them.

You should never NEVER try to apply pressure to all generators, even with Nurse or any high mobility killer.
On early game i choose always the generators that I will give up depending on the map and the loop iteration.

Control an area of the map, don't just brainlessly commit to chases and get baited to the other end. Run slowdown perks, use ones that you have more control over if you hate Ruin. Get better at playing tiles with red stain mindgames, etc

You’re not suppose to 4k with no gens done. This is the same as survs complaining because they can’t escape all with 0 hooks

3 gens popping is normal tbh. Idk your rank, but you are probably up against regular people vs. A de-pip bully squad.
Corrupt Intervention, Surge, PGTW, Oppression, Eruption, Thtilling Tremors are l good slowdown perks. I don't run Ruin usually unless I'm running a build that requires some set up (I.e. infinite Tier 3 Myers). In that case ill run Corrupt and Ruin. Itll lock out at least 3 gens, so I can focus on tiering up for the snowball effect.
But best way of pressuring gens is downing survivors. Having 2 people on hooks at 4 gens is huge, especially if they are in same area. Itll force the others off gens to rescue.
If you are struggling with ending chases quickly, then you may need to brush up on winning chases more often. DyllonKG and OhTofu have great videos. DyllonKG has videos on LT walls, shacks, etc. And OhTofu has gamrleplay videos that he reviews and points out mistakes. You can learn a lot from these videos.

There's a lot of different ways to pressure Survivors.
My advice to you is essentially that every Killer in the game break the "normal" rules in one way or another with their power, and you should try to find the Killer who's power mitigates whichever part of what Survivors do that you don't like.
Don't like multiple Gens popping during your first chase? Maybe try Legion who's designed to get pressure without downs.
Don't like looping? Maybe try Nurse or Hag.
I personally get so very bored when Survivors force me to hold W after them... either because of a short, non mind gameable loop or because of the post hit speed boost. For that reason, I play a lot of Trickster. Before Trickster came out I played a lot of Legion, Deathslinger, and Tier 1 Myers.
