you can be double blinded. even then I doubt that it was 30+ seconds

You were chain-blinded, most likely, which essentially means you didn't look away and the survivor was able to repeatedly "refresh" the blind duration before it expired. Always look down or up after getting blinded so that doesn't happen.

Either that or it was one of those hackers who flashlights the killer from full-map away.
