Which Killer do you think you've mastered?

...Or atleast come close to mastering? Personally I believe that I've mastered Blight, I've mained him since his PTB and after all this time I can confidently say that I've learned almost everything I can with this Killer. Unless I'm having a really bad day or I get the RPD map I always 4k or 3k my matches before all the gens get done.

Definitely Legion. I know they don't have the highest skill cap out there, but they're still more complex than people give them credit for.

I do not want to sound cocky, and this is most definitely not a flex, but I feel like I've gone down a list of them.

Do not think this is good in anyway, I am genuinely addicted to this game and it causes me a lot of stress.

That said, I can get 4Ks almost any game at rank 1 with:

    • Twins
    • Blight
    • Ghostface
    • Oni
    • Hag
    • Deathslinger
    • Spirit
    • Executioner
    • Wraith
    • Plague

    and of course

    • Nurse

This is the only game I've ever really been addicted to. It's weird. But I'm far too competitive and I've grown to hate this game, but I still play it because I always feel incomplete.

Clown & Doc. Oh and Plague.

Oh oh and, I was most definitely master with old Freddy. Those gens weren’t getting finished!!! And on the rare occasion they did, lol, good luck getting a gate open while asleep and 6 Remember Me tokens.

Wraith, Doctor, Oni, and maybe Spirit.

None, I'm terrible at them all and don't play the role enough to ever master any one. Though, the closest one I have come is Trapper.

Legion, though that may be cheating since i run a very unique and unexpected build on him.

I would be pretty close to mastering clown but his skill ceiling is fairly low anyway

I've mastered none. I wish I have mastered spirit

Probably just Hag. Get a good feeling of choke points and you'll do good with her. The only advanced thing with her is knowing when to tp and when not to tp if a survivor has just dropped a pallet or vaulted and activated your trap, because they might stay there or they might go back over to avoid your tp hit.

None, but I'm reasonably good with Plague and Blight and I apparently know Legion better than most.

"mastered" is a big word, but i would say that i am pretty good at Deathslinger and Trapper.

I'm fairly good with a majority of the Killers, but those two i used to main / still main to this day, meaning i played them a lot more than others.

  • Dwight_Fairfield
    Dwight_Fairfield Member Posts: 7,093

I would say Michael. He's been my main for over 3 years. I consistently do well with him in red ranks so I think he's the one I have "mastered".

I have probably mastered none of the characters but I do love what little high skill shenanigans that I can pull on killers like The Blight or The Doctor.

A lot of killers have an insanely high mastery/skill ceiling once you start to experiment with them.

I don't think I've mastered any, but I like to think I'm good with Doctor and Nemesis. Of course there's always room for improvement, so I don't think I'll ever completely master a Killer.

None I have like 1800 hours on this game I'm more of a survivor main so that's probably why

If im in the mood for a 4k i know i can get one with:

Trapper, clown, michael, bubba, hag, ph, huntress, ghostface, legion, pig, freddy, spirit, wraith, twins, and oni.

Doctor, deathslinger, and nemesis are next on my agenda. I dont think ill ever be great with plague, blight, demo, or nurse.

I could see myself getting really good with hillbilly but he doesn't interest me that much.

Mastered not but I've definitely come very close to mastering Pyramid Head. I'd argue I'm one of the better ones out there and usually people can't loop me for very long (alas the w key meta is emerging and suddenly I become very weak). There are still a few maps I need to get better on, though I'm genuinely not convinced that they aren't PH auto-losses based on their design, but asides from that I'd say I have him down.

Also Freddy is another I'm close to but that doesnt take much (used to be a snare master, currently learning pallets over snares bevause the changes have ruined my muscle memory).

    Legion and Twins

Not perfect but I can put up one hell of a fight against a high rank SWF

  • APoipleTurtle

    Probably none of them.

Though I usually get pretty good results with Leatherface, Huntress, and Pyramid Head.

I guess LF might be my best overall, since I mostly just use ridiculous builds on him (5-Totems, Rancor Roulette, Peek-a-boo Bubba, etc) and still eke out some wins. It's not exactly like LF is a deep and complex killer with a high skill ceiling (he's not); but that's also why I like him for these way-off-the-meta loadouts.

Used to have a great go of it with Wraith, Demo, and Deathslinger too, but lately I keep encountering major performance hiccups when trying to do anything with their powers. Imagine having the game briefly freeze almost every time that you uncloak, charge shred, or ADS and you'll get the gist of what I'm talking about.

    Mastering? None lol

I do enjoy Doctor, Demo, Myers and Wraith in that order lol

Mastering is so subjective and is largely related to the skill ceiling of the killer.

I have 3 killers that I can consistently 4k at rank 1, and those are Blight , Spirit, and Oni.

These are all really strong killers, so it doesn't say much to say that I can do well with them at rank 1. I didn't learn these killers because they were strong, I picked each of them up when they were brand new and just loved each of their designs and really worked to learn how to use their abilities. But maybe I just enjoy playing with killers with strong chase powers which is an important aspect of overall killer strength in DBD.

Mastered? Probably none, but I would say I've learned almost everything that Old Freddy had to offer.

I wouldn't say I've mastered nurse but she's by far my best killer. Most several hundred hour nurse mains should be getting 4ks every single match but I still lose quite often so ehh.

Still confident in saying I'm better than most nurses which is cool.

  • ChurchofPig
    ChurchofPig Member Posts: 2,769

I get pretty consistent hatch games and 4ks with Pig, Wraith, Doc, and Nemesis.

I'm not sure if "mastered" is the right word, but maybe I'm just not giving myself enough credit since I hear a lot from people on my platform that they think I'm a good player (as killer, I suck at survivor).

  • NekoTorvic
    NekoTorvic Member Posts: 778

I've only ever lost 1 time as Blight in the past like 3 months. Twice if we count a 3 man key escape but in my mind keys are irrelevant. (Winning in this case is a 3k or more).

I wouldn't necessarily say I've mastered Blight, but he is my main and I'm decently strong with him. I'd say if mastering is around 95/100, I may be am around 70-75/100.

When the game is so survivor sided I need to play top tier killers to have a good time >:)

Was Oni until the last update made him feel off for me. I was good with trapper until I hit rank 12 😅

Probably Blight. While I would say that I am good with all killers and win most of my games (except Trap-Based killers, I suck big time as them and I am kinda meh as a ranged or stealth killer), Blight just clicked with me since the PTB and I have enough confidence with him to even play without perks and win almost all of my games. I think I have only ever lost 3 or 4 games while having no perks. Trapper or Deathslinger on the other hand are the exact opposite and I play like someone with 10 hours.

None. I'm too stupid to ever come close to mastering any Killer. I'm a decent enough Blight I guess.

  • DwarvenTavern

I'm getting the hang of Nemesis, I'm getting good at shutting down multiple loops and I think I have decent luck with my zombies, or I've just wasted enough time for back up to arrive haha

Well it's not like this is impressive, but i've definitely mastered Wraith.

Before his changes, i also had Hillbilly very much under control, not sure where to place him now.

And then finally i think i've got Doctor at least very close to mastered.

Everyone else is somewhere between casual & very good, and a few i'm absolutely trash at: Nurse, Blight, Oni.

  • Kaiju

I played Oni since his release but I think there's something new to learn everyday so mastered no. Good? Yeah

  • Legion, Bubba and Wraith

  • Alionis
    Alionis Member Posts: 1,030

I don't think I have mastered any killer, despite playing since release. Obviously I have my mains, but my issue is that I've played all killers over the years and keep rotating between them to this day. I can main one more or less exclusively for a month or two, but then I get bored by them and go to the next. For some, like Oni, I keep returning back to, but since I spread my playtime for the most part, I'm a Jack-of-all-Trades when it comes to killers: good to very good with most of them, but not a master of any compared to someone who exclusively plays a specific killer for years.

  • Moundshroud
    Moundshroud Member Posts: 4,458

I've become competent with Myers, by my way of rating things. I'm more a Jack of all trades and master of none. This game is always evolving and changing, so I'm not sure anyone can truly master anything here.
