Killers, do you like or dislike when survivor waits at the exit to give you a hit (no bm)?

I usually do this. When I played killer a lot I didn't had anything against it unless survs were tbagging.

Nothing against it. It's a good wait to waste the killer's time, which can be useful for other teammates. If it's just for points, I understand it.

this rarely happens to me unless the last survivor lucks out with the exit gate spawns. However, when it does, I would rather them leave as you lose emblem points as killer for the survivor quickly escaping the chase.

If it weren’t for that, yeah give me the extra 500 bp’s I guess.

I neither like nor dislike it, but my preference goes to them leaving.

If I'm across the map, yes. If I'm near you, then no. As long as it's not forcing me to walk for 50 seconds to hit someone so the game will end sooner.

If youre waiting to heal real quick or check if anyone needs help to make it to an exit, go for it.

However, I personally don't want to get a free hit for like 300 extra bp. The people that wait at exit gates 9 times out of ten just want you to see them leave. It's like a toddler showing you their finger paint stick figure and expect praise. At least when it's a kid you expect it and find it cute. It's just an ######### thing to do imo. Like clearly I've already lost, why do you need me to see you leave?

I've actually gotten bitter at it from these kind of ######### players killing me as survivor. I'll be waiting for hatch because I can't make it to an exit or I don't know where they are and these damn players wait till the last second, killing me. It's just a dumb thing to do quite frankly

I don't care much either way. The game is already over at that point. If I'm there then I'll take the free bp, but if they wait at the exit while I'm halfway across the map and then leave as soon as I get there, then I get slightly annoyed. Like, you really had to wait for me to watch you leave, huh? But then I'm on to the next game and I've already forgotten.

Well noted. I guess it is kinda disliked because of the biterness from toxic people.

I will stop doing that since it doesn't matter to me.

I will take a free hit. Why not? Sometimes I guess the wrong exit gate and have to cross the entire map to reach them. So I would say, if I am not in sight in about 20 seconds, probably best to just save us both time. But I do not care too much. I am not in a rush. I am very new, but so far, it just seems to be a part of the game. The 50/50 mix up. Will they wait to teabag, or will they give a free hit. Very exciting to figure it out.

If the survivors actually let you hit them you gain emblem points not lose them. As a survivor I will always let the killer hit me twice so that I fall out the gate. That's 1 or 2 hits and a successful chase. The survivor is the one losing emblem points in this exchange.

I think it is only polite to let the killer get hits, especially if you're someone like hillbilly and you're just going for a daily, a survivor letting you get a chainsaw in can save you from having to play a second match to get the daily.

It's just another example of toxic survivors ruining good things though, because 3/4 times the survivors won't let you get hits, they'll t-bag or try to flashlight blind you. And if you don't show up they'll start spamming fast vaults to harass you even more.

I appreciate people being respectful at the exit gates, a survivor crouching and looking up, dropping their item for you, letting you get a hit, booping the snoot, or any other similar action can completely dissolve the frustration or anger you might have had from the game. I've had times where someone being nice at the gate changed the feel of the match from being toxic and ######### to being a good game just from seeing they didn't have ill will.

Reading something like just makes me more undecided what to do lol.

Like you saw in this thread some people get mad at this and hate it. I don't wan't to upset people if it doesn't affect me in any way to just stay or leave.

    WitchQueenTrina Member Posts: 24

If the killer is there, let them hit you out.

I would wait at the exit gate to make sure you don't have to run back in to save someone, but if no one needs saving and the killer isn't nearby (or if the killer is the guntress) just leave. People mostly get upset with survivors who bm at the gate or leave in front of the killer without letting them get a hit, not someone who left when you were on the other side of the map. Though if you're the last person maybe give them 20 seconds to close the hatch for that challenge lol

Don't care what they do. At that point I already lost the game so I am probably walking around the map breaking pallets and messing with my power in some way

    bibibib8 Member Posts: 843

Its the same both are BM you may think you give the killer some point but in my opinion this is BS you just want to BM the killer because you beat the killer.

Ps. I know i said you but replace you by survivor.

Depends, if they are trying to get points and give the killer points, yes. If they are fast vaulting a pallet every 1/2 a second non stop for the 2 minute EGC then I am not for it. I ignore it and go break pallets and doors that I missed during the match.

Depends, if im on the other side of the exit gates then leave. Otherwise thanks for the hit. It's plus 200 + another + 300 cuz "survivor found" for chase.

I usually wait to help everyone else escape if I'm full health but dead on hook. I don't mind letting a killer smack me one last time unless they played like a real jerk the entire match, in which case I just leave lol

  • Kharbarg
    Kharbarg Member Posts: 126

It seems to me a waste of time. If I have no chances to down and hang I prefer the game end soon and play another match.

All remaining survivors waiting at open door to leave is the same as killers slugging the last survivor to die when the hatch has been closed. Just a waste of time.

    oxygen Member Posts: 3,320

I personally like it, I always go over to smack them out anyway. In my personaly experience it's more common that people get smacked out than them running away last second or anything like that, more points and usually makes the match end faster sounds like a win/win to me.

Bonus points if there's some joking around going on as well. Goofy nods, that weird-looking waving the flashlight up and down thing, me upping my mouse DPI like crazy trying to hit them out with 1080 hatchets or something. Good old stupid fun in my eyes and while it's less common than everyone just taking 1-2 hits and falling over the escape line, it happens sometimes.

    no.

the game is over, just get out.

besides, 90% of people who do this will dead hard the second you are about to hit them anyway, just to rub it in your face.

My whoring for bloodpoints knows no bounds. I accept all gifts. I’ll even hook the unlucky survivors that go into dying state in bounds.

  • agonizing
    agonizing Member Posts: 176

Could’ve swore the “survivor escape” made you lose points as killer. Either way, it doesn’t bother me as long as they don’t drag out the 2 minutes.

  • APoipleTurtle
    APoipleTurtle Member Posts: 1,274

I prefer if they just leave. It allows the match to end faster and (more importantly) means they won't be around to assist any of their teammates still trapped in the trial.

Though I don't majorly care either way. At least so long as it doesn't involve a survivor wasting my time by using the glitch where they can't be hit at the edge of the Exit. I really dislike that glitch.

Never come to say goodbye. Do not care about bp, so it is just wasting time. If i have no chance to hook someone, i switch to youtube for few minutes. At least 50% matches finish at last second EGC, have no idea why, because i never come to look

I accept people who wait at the exit as a legitimate tactic to try and pull the killer's attention away from who's left in the arena. Just another tool to be used or not used as a player sees fit.

  • FancyMrB

I don't mind at all. Everyone just goofing and trying to have fun/ get bp.

If you take this game too seriously you will get grey hairs ^^"

    Dislike.

Just go. Don't waste my time.

Even if survivors don't bm, it still comes off as "Look at me! I beat you, and must make you witness my triumph! "

I don't feel like I beat anyone when I "win" in this game. Survivor or killer. It is too unbalanced, rng based and weird.

I just want to give the other side some points and do it like a gg thing. I leave my items. Ocasionally I let the killers hook me too.

I respect all the players who are not toxic. I don't see the other side as my enemy just because we are up against each other in a video game. I seriously don't understand why is everyone so mad if people dont bm or say mean things.

    ukenicky Member Posts: 1,352

I personally don't mind it but literally every time I've had this happen they tbag and leave last second so it's not really fun to me. I feel like this is because I'm still in rank 10 - 20 for killer and get a lot of similarly ranked survivors and maybe it's more common around there? When I'm survivor I let them get a hit in on me before I leave if they're around. If it's obvious that the killer is nowhere nearby though I leave bcuz it's just wasting too much time.

  • Shaped
    Shaped Member Posts: 5,870

Unfortunately it is not. Lot of people bm in every rank. It didn't made me bitter tho, you encounter some nice people too.

I despise when survivors wait at the exit gate. If I played even remotely decently, the extra BP, I'd get from the hit is absolutely useless. Half the time, survivors wait at the exit until I show up and then leave before I even step foot inside the actual gate. It's a waste of my time and I usually just want to move on to the next match.

  • syain
    syain Member Posts: 440

If I lose under fair conditions I think I don't even mind the bm, as rare as it is (might be a regional thing? it really doesn't happen often when I play killer). I also appreciate the hits and deviousness points depending on the killer I'm playing. They really can't make you waste too much of your time if you don't let them.

  • Rivyn
    Rivyn Member Posts: 3,022

Dislike. Stop wasting my time and move on already. The amount of survivors that use this as an excuse to be toxic is unreal.

  • Shaped
    Shaped Member Posts: 5,870

If my intention was to be toxic I wouldn't ask this question so I can stop if everyone hates it. So far I am seeing mixed opinions so I am not sure what to do.

  • Rivyn
    Rivyn Member Posts: 3,022

@Shaped I've been in this game for nearly three years. The amount of players that teabag at the gates vs those that honestly want to do it for points on both sizes is astronomical. You may be doing it for 'noble' purposes, but I've become jaded enough to lump everybody doing this into the toxic category.

Do us all a favor, and leave. The faster we can get into our next game, the happier everybody will be. The small handful of points gained from a hit is meaningless.

  • NekoGamerX
    NekoGamerX Member Posts: 5,288

dislike because a lot of time they don't stay to give us a hit and alot of time they like to deadhard out before I could hit them

this just leave but that never happen because a lot of survivors are bully with no life.

  • Shaped
    Shaped Member Posts: 5,870

I agree about the bm numbers. I played since 2018 too but I take a break here and there. Played a lot of killer before so I know how toxic survivors can be. That goes for killers too.

But like I said I see some people here that are not against it so my mind is not yet changed. And when I played killer I didn't mind it either so...

  • SleepyWillo
    SleepyWillo Member Posts: 2,197

I love it when they wait and let me hit them. If they wait and just leave before I can hit them... Not so much.

Certain killers that I'm not great with and can finish a daily with their help is awesome

  • Laluzi
    Laluzi Member Posts: 6,127

I used to like it when I was already at the gate and the survivor was beckoning me without tbagging or clicking, but more than half the time, they turn around and leave or Dead Hard out before I reach them - most of them just want to escape a chase, or the satisfaction of making me swing at them, and aren't interested in giving me the BPs they're promising. And if you're waiting for me to show up at the gates so you can give me points, just go; even if your intentions are honest, it's not worth it to me.

I like when survivors spin around in circles with me at the gates, or nod. Offered hits after that are typically genuine. Everything else, I'm pretty jaded about.

  • burt0r
    burt0r Member Posts: 4,160

The situation addressed in this thread is more that all survivor alive are at/in the exit. They either wait to get hit and donate some points or to rub their win in one last time during the trial.

  • Purgatorian
    Purgatorian Member Posts: 1,146

I stupidly waited at the exit whilst injured... then the deathslinger managed to do a quick shot and spear me. Never again against a ranged killer lol.

I don't mind it if I am not getting t bagged but if there are pallets to break I would rather do that.
