5.0.2 is even worse
I’m on Xbox one, and with the most recent patch the stutters have gotten even worse. I don’t mean to disrespect the developers, but it’s seeming more and more obvious play testing is at a minimal.

Well that sucks. Now they've just gone and made console worse while PC remains the same? How does that even happen? Surely disabling and/or shrinking hi-res hi-intensity assets would make the game smoo-

yah its worese freind had a pro but didnt have to bad of lag spikes and now with the patch hes having the problems i had with my old ps4

How does a bugfix patch make the game run worse, either the code is so spaghetti that they don't know what to do or they just don't care.

Obviously they care. They just dont know what to do. If they didnt care theyd never have acknowledged the problems in the first place.

Not gonna lie... kinda jealous on how well your game runs. First trickster hit would have lagged, spun me around and had me running back into him.
I am also on xbox one. Until this newest chapter... my game ran super smoothly. The very rare lag... but it is hilariously unplayable.

But do they care enough? Do they care enough to hire another couple of game testers? Do they care enough to hire a few extra coders to fix bugs? Do they care enough to buy an actual Playstation and boot the game up?

game is fine on steam not sure why people play DBD on console anymore, not to mention you have to pay online to play on console.
bhvr should just give up on last gen consoles because it's slowing down game development.

As dumb as your take is, you're not entirely wrong. However, they've made the choice to release the game on consoles and as such, it is their responsibility to ensure their customers get what they have paid for. Meaning, a playable game. Simple as.

Even rockstar gave up on the PS3 online version of GTA 5.
you can't update these last gen consoles forever maybe find a way to allow players to merge over to steam or something

It freezes every time i hit a survivor now on xbox one. Even worse if i do it coming out of cloak as wraith. Midwich is unplayable because of how dark it is. Has it always been like this?
The game was pitch black after the update for me but that seems to have fixed its self unless it was a specific varient of a map.

I play on pc and just wanted to see the state of the game on console. they made it worse with this patch.

Playing on PS4, issues seem to be just as bad as before. This patch did nothing to help.
Tier up as Michael? Big FPS drops. Didn't notice those before.

At this point it’s clear BHVR either can’t or don’t want to support last gen consoles. Sadly that’s just the way it is and there’s not much we can do about it

Do you have any idea how hard it is to obtain a next-gen console right now? So what, pray tell, are those of us on PS4/Xbox One with no way to upgrade supposed to do?
We paid for the resident evil chapter, but performance is so bad they should just refund us. BHVR Got our money and in return we got performance issues because they clearly didn't test their update on consoles before it went live.

Because I am not a pc player. I own one when I used to game on PC but it must be at least 5 years old now. I tried dbd on PC on lowest settings and everything worked fine except skill checks that I could not hit due to them having a huge delay in registering and could never find out why. I even forced 1080p through the files but it still happened. I played PC for years but still had to use controller because I could never get used to m+k, gave up on wow after about 6 months due to that fact.
In short, some people are happier to be console players than play on PC.

They dont have to refund you because the DLC is not the issue at hand. Its something with the spaghetti code. That is to say, you buying or not buying the DLC would not have made a difference. Just saying.
Do you have proof they dont? Personally I just think they are inept, and dont care for last gen anymore. They probably have a single PS5 and Xboxwhatever they use for a 5min test.

Spaghetti code may be the reason for it, but the cause was still the Resident Evil DLC.
