Rank 19 killer vs rank 2 and 5 survivors
This is my first time posting here so I don't really know where to post it but I want to know why this happens and if it's something I have to learn to deal with (I was the killer)

Terrible matchmaking system. Devs said a new matchmaking system will be coming out "soon" that should fix this.

ah ok I also noticed that getting a match takes around 2-5 min so I assumed the matchmaking system was flawed

Matchmaking is horrible in this game for years, sadly your experience is nothing rare.

I mean people who are saying this will be fixed soon are living in wonderland. This has been happening continuously for the last year if not longer...

Long Term Solution: Come to grips with this being an uncommon but still normal occurrence depending on the time of day.
Short Term Solution: Get really good, really fast. Invest all your time and money into this game and get crippling depression as fast as possible in hopes to always win. Give up playing for fun if you only see ranks.

It's not about ranks necessarily it's about the fact that it was like my fifth match and I got put with good/veteran players and that I had no hopes of winning (the guy I killed felt bad and let me kill him) since then I have played 1 more match and still the same bs 2 rank 18 survivors with purple perks so I'm pretty sure they were suffering cause of rank reset and a rank 9 survivor so I couldn't do #########, I couldn't even camp the guy I managed to get hooked

It's the problem with a player base that is not 4:1 divided but probably closer to 8:1 coupled with a matchmaking that is opted for speed rather than accuracy.
The matchmaking right now has a really low tolerance in terms of time until it broadens the search parameter aka the amount of ranks upwards and downwards it pairs together.
Before the resident evil chapter there was and most probably is soon again a sever shortage of killer, so survivor have to wait rather long and at some point the matchmaking system just takes the next available killer to match with no regard for anything.

Sadly, this is not unusual and we all agree that it happens way too often. It is just something that you kinda have to learn to deal with.
And trust me, it could have been way worse. When the Stranger Things Chapter released, Matchmaking was nightmarish.
