Events Were Supposed To Be BIGGER.
So like I love how they claimed they would focus on the anniversary event and Halloween event and yet this year is exactly the same as last year. I think that’s kinda BS especially since they now claim they will barely do anything for like Christmas and Summer.

yeah they dissapoint big time i tried to give them bedefit of the doubt but yeah bhvr is just beging bhvr thier mooto is the less work then better at least they do everything so we would think like that

I like to imagine some corporate big boss stepped in at some point before dbd went way down hill a couple years ago and said "do these events directly make me money?"
And the devs said "no, but the players like them...".
And then the suit says "lemme stop you right there..."
And that was the end of fun events.

Honestly, it's kind of smaller than last year. We didn't even get a new lobby screen like last years event. They literally put less effort into this event then they did even Lunar New Years AND THAT'S NOT EVEN CONSIDERED AN EVENT ANYMORE.

Honestly, all I want out of Anniversary events is a way to easily cap out stuff (Bloodpoints). We got that, so I'm happy. I don't need much more. It's pretty much at the point where even BP are becoming less of a draw because it just ends up maxing out a survivor I'm feeling since all my main killers are set.

I was hoping that we would (at the very least) have the original 4 character remodels released. It just made sense you know since the game has been out.
This event is missing a soul. Like not even the lobby is decorated... I was expecting too much I think. Pains me to say, because I love the game but this just feels very underwhelming.

Yep, last anniversary had a special lobby and music.
And we got nothing this year. But don't worry, BHVR put extra effort into this event :)

it's feeling like they can't do anything but the opposite of what they'll say unless it's skins. I hear we have the map live. I'm going to see if it's like drilling your own teeth as that seems to be the consensus.

They did put a lot of efforts... Into the amount of bug and issues.

Yeah, not impressed with the first day.
And that's me leaving out everything but the event.

Reveals the crown aura when really close, feels like 3 meters. But there's already a very loud, similar to hatch sound when nearby.

Gameplay wise, event is the completely the same.
Outside of that we have a rotating shrine. Which is cool, but useless since I've already grinded the perks.
The login rewards, and also the addition of a ludicrous amount of bugs.
In summary, a mostly typical BHVR event.

I'd say the shrine is my favorite part, and because I've got all perks. All the free bloodpoints without having to deal with the games crap rn.

This is why you take EVERYTHING the devs claim with a few pounds of salt. I've noticed over the years that much of what they say is just to ease tensions and buy them time. Then when it comes time to deliver, they fail. Wash and repeat.
Them claiming they were going to focus on two events was just that. A way to buy time and do nothing.

It is even lazier than the previous one. They think we are blind or dumb? Are they testing our patience or what? They could avoid repeating mistake they made last year and give us the opportunity to at least collect serum through the rift or something. Or bloodhunt. But the more perks are introduced, the more grind we get, the less amount of BP we receive. BHVR logic🙄
P.S. And also... BUGS! BUGS ARE EVERYWHERE 🤬

Limited time cosmetics, community wide in game goals, new event theme objectives like the goo flowers that one Halloween event had.
Basically 2017-2018 DbD events.

Game goals? You mean fix gens, escape and the totem challenges?
Id like to see map specific rewards. Double XP on Macmillan or 100 shards per player when completing a match on autohaven etc etc

omg.. they didn't even bother to give legion 2 crowns for both default masks. last year they got a crown for both frank and susies default mask. this year it is only frank LAZY

Maybe I am wrong but isn't there a community count on how many crowns we earn so that we get a Trapper and a David cosmetic?

I also liked that events. But know what? Even then the forum was flooded with complaints from surviors about the event, bc their fellow survivors would only do the event things and no gens were being done. So BHVR thought about ways to change events that they are not that impactful to the general gameplay.
To sum it up: Our constant bitching in the past is one key aspect of why we do not have great events anymore. Think about that for a second.

I am very disappointed with this. Although.. to be honest, I'm not surprised. When they said they would cancel all events because they would be putting more effort into the 2 biggest events, namely Halloween and the anniversary of the game. I thought that nothing will change and will be the same. And you know what? There are no events, and the anniversary is just a ctrl c ctrl v of last year's event, while the launch also happened with a bunch of bugs and so on. I have no words how hypocritical this is. But you guys don't worry, the main thing is to buy our cosmetics and chapters.
