Not commanding you to do that but it makes for a good discussion title name, no? 😜

Anyway, i'm really stuck on what Perks to equip on my 2 empty Perk slots on Wraith's main build. (Don't you worry, i got Hex: Devour Hope on my fun build, but this main build is about simply having a generic build.)

So some tips, advice, suggestions and whatever is very much welcome.

Oh, i have Barbecue & Chili and Make Your Choice on, and they are NOT coming off.

Here's some information about me if it matters to your suggestions to me...

  • I generally don't camp.
  • I generally tunnel the Survivor i find until they're on the Hook, if you can even call that tunneling.
  • I generally don't slug.
  • I don't try to go for the recently unhooked one.
  • I dislike early-game-only Perks.
  • I dislike late-game-only Perks.
  • I generally dislike Obsession Perks that make me weaker against the Obsession or makes the Obsession stronger.
  • I generally dislike Obsession Perks that make me weaker against the non-Obsessions or makes the non-Obsessions stronger even more than the previous bullet of this bullet list.
  • Don't care for any Terror Radius Perks, as you may imagine.
  • I don't care for slowdown Perks, but they're a good backup choice.
  • I like Perks that aid me in a chase.
  • I like Perks that grant me strength.
  • The Add-ons that i use are always the ones that i have the most of. This includes "The Beast" - Soot as well.
  • Maybe i'll add more if i think of it over time...

Pop + STBFL will work well for him. And you are already using Devour + BBQ. Great build.

Ahhh, I'll be DCing a lot then. Had 5 Wraiths out of 6 matches yesterday. So tired of everyone just using OP add-ons 😂 Losing 5 pips was worth it instead of playing against sweats

Starstruck is a decent choice on him. You can run it solo or take Agitation or maybe even Distressing as well. Might be redundant with Make Your Choice but I feel SWFs as a whole tend to be braver when they're against "just" a Wraith with a flashlight.

I don't have a full set build for him, but there's certain perks with combos I love on him Addons usually effect my choices. Also you generally fit my criteria for perks,

Nurses Calling is one of my favorites on him, nicely Paired with Sloppy Butcher (pretty much the only slowdown I use) or the addon granting the same effect.

I usually bring in Brutal, pairing with the Shadow Dance addons. Sometimes Swapped with Fire Up. Enduring is also an alternative, but really just for lunging through pallets.

Coup De Grace has been so much fun with him, the lunges are delicious! Pairs good with All seeing Blood to see where you're going around the loop.

Dragons Grip can cause some funny moments. Go to a gen with survs, be as obvious as possible but pretend not to notice the leaving survivors, kick, move a little and sit. Almost always works the first few times per survivor. SWF can kill this however.

Starstruck can be pretty brutal when paired with All Seeing Blood or Spirit, as well as speed addons. Agitation on top of that for even more value.

Surge, sometimes use when I have nothing else in mind, a good "passive" slowdown that compliments Wraiths hit and run style perfectly.

Save The Best For Last is always a good generic perk for an M1 killer and I run it pretty religiously on Wraith. Can't really be helped that it makes you want to avoid the obsession, but Wraith's high mobility means you can pick your targets, and even if you don't manage your stacks, you'll still accumulate faster hit speed throughout the match (it's basically +6 from everyone else and -4 from the obsession if you split chases evenly). Plus Wraith loves hit and runs so he can gain even more stacks by just whacking players that are out of position and then leaving them alone unless they didn't make it anywhere with their speed boost.

Sloppy is a good basic perk on Wraith to complement the hit and run playstyle, but I'd take Pop or Ruin for the last slot - slowdown's always needed.

(And hell yeah, Devour Hope is insanely fun on Wraith. He's easily one of its best users.)

i use Pop Goes The Weasel, Barbecue & Chili, Enduring and A Nurses Calling.

PGTW: a great game slowdown tool and my usual choice on any Killer.

BBQ: Wraith has the map pressure to make use out of the aura reveal. also, double BP! YAY!

Enduring: just a generally good chase Perk.

Nurses: Wraiths stealth allows him to easily sneak up on healing targets, great Perk on him.

im not a Wraith main at all though, so it might not be the best build on him. I like it however.

Yeah, Save The Best For Last has always seemed like it just fits him.

    I'll give it another whirl.

And for a few days i'll try Dragon's Grip, haven't seriously made use of it yet, only in a "Kick Generators, get rewards" build.

Thank you all for sharing though, i'm writing this ######### down!

Fun little build you have room for is putting on nemesis and play with your food. You can force generate tokens by cloaking and uncloaking yourself.

As for a generic build following all of your likes and dislikes. I give you 2 more chase oriented perks to round out your build. Brutal strength and bamboozle are cracked on new wraith. If you run a action speed increase addon with him those perks become God tier. They are basically must equips for me as a wraith main.

My number one tip as wraith is to recognize when you should drop a chase. If you get your first hit on someone and they run towards a loop that your invis speed boost and uncloak lunge won't help drop it if your don't have the time to waste.

Also, breaking pallets as wraith is super important. So figure out what side you want the survivor to be one when you break the pallet. Try to always have them on the side that has less options to run to or towards parts of the map that has already had its resources wasted

BBQ + Make your choice is a great combo since his speed buff.

Hook a person, hook another and find unhooker with bbq and oneshot him. MYC lasts for 1 minute and also you can hear survivor's scream now so you know who is unhooker

BBQ, Nurses, POP and Make Your Choice

Since no one brought it up, Surveillance. With his high mobility, knowing exactly which gens survivors are working on is amazing. It works good on it's own, but pair it with Ruin/Surge/Oppression and it's very, very useful.

Mmmm, Dragon's Grip just isn't working out.

Even if i do get a trigger next Trial, that'll be the first trigger in over 10 Trials.

Sorry DG, i like your idea, but you're out.

Think i'll go for boring ol' Brutal Strength next.

Oh, and Save The Best For Last is doing well.

Still don't like making someone special, but it's nice to have if i fail to hit the Make Your Choice Survivor.

Joking! I love playing afk Wraith. Rancor can be great especially if you can hide your aura. Franklin's or Lighthorne for those pesky blinds?

Yeah, MYC and BBQ are my standard build.

Then usually I run Huanted grounds and devour, or HG and undying.

Sloppy and pop are also great

I personaly like Sloppy Butcher, Thanatophobia and Surge. Sloppy helps with the hit and run, Thana for general slowdown and Surge because you often suprice them near Generators. You can replace Surge with the new Eruption.

Make your Choice is a decent addition, Whispers is my favourite for tracking, if it detects correctly Forced Penance can also be great as the wounded survivors from Sloppy often tend to provoke their teammates to go for a protection hit. This then applies them with a Broken Status, allowing you to drop that chase for ~60 seconds to apply pressure elsewhere and return to that survivor.

Nurses would also be a decent choice but the budget slowdown combo of Nurses, Sloppy and Thana is a bit stale for me.

Wait, so Nemesis' effects trigger from your Obsession being switched, and not from being stunned?

Devour hope could work well with my and for the other perk I would say agitation for hooking quicker to get back into pressuring the other survivors.

For add-on, blind warrior white can help with slowing down the survivors or/and making it easier to down them.

Cause now i'm really curious, but can't play right now.

even without perks you’ll get an instant 4K. Just hook one, cloak, tunnel and repeat. That is the wraith way of life. Maybe throw on some bbq and Noed just to make everyone suffer.

My main build is BBQ, MYC, Blood Echo, and Nurse's Calling.

It flows very well together for me.

You do some hit and run as needed, when you do get a down you see an injured Survivor with BBQ and KNOW they have no DH or SB due to Blood Echo, allowing you to get a very fast chase against them, moving away from MYC. You down them and and see the other Survivor and their unhooker via BBQ, and go get the MYC insta-down, blood echo should be off cooldown by now, you have at least two survivors injured and just snowball. Nurse's is just generally really good on him and it is pushed harder from them needing to heal due to the fear of Blood Echo.

As for Addons I like "Blind Warrior" - White, and Bone Clapper the most. White combos with Blood Echo making it more likely to get a trigger. Also if you didn't know a Surprise Hit is super forgiving, I don't know the time but it is crazy how long you have to hit after uncloaking. The addons honestly don't matter that much for this build though.

Hope you guys enjoyed my Wraith build blog.

@Jivetalkin13 gave me the answer: Seems like Nemesis triggers on the Obsession change.

So yes, they very much do combine in that way.

Really sounds delicious, can't wait to try it out tomorrow.

    Boss Member Posts: 13,616

    @Jivetalkin13

Well the synergy is definitely there.

But i can't say the outcome was satisfying, which is too bad cause i thought i might actually put the laughable Furtive Chase to use.

Due to me having Barbecue & Chili on, the aura reveal of Nemesis isn't all that good.

Oblivious is a bit better when in loops, but i'm still Wraith so i can miss that minor advantage.

And the Terror Radius reduction is, like i said, already laughable, but on Wraith it's bing-bongable! (God someone silence me before i make another joke like that.)

I can reckon it's fun when doing that Obsession challenge, and probably has more uses on Killers that can't help their Terror Radius.

But this just ain't for me.

Okay, Save The Best For Last was a solid choice.

Guess i'll go boring ol' Brutal Strength, like mentioned before.

That's fine. Like I said, it's more for the meme, plus you need more off meta support for it. BBQ just doesn't really fit will with what it's supposed to be for.

If you ever use it again, I'd recommend Legion, Oni, Demo, or Blight. Haven't used it on all of them, but those are probably the best users of that combo.
