Cross-Progression is a necessity at this point.
This is my first forum post in quite a while, since I really had nothing to add, or to suggest. However, now with all of this games performance issues on previous gen consoles, there needs to be a way to change platforms and retain your stuff. I play on an Xbox One X, bought nearly every DLC that the game has, and have a couple skins for characters I really like. I thought I would be fine since it’s not the base console, but I still felt sad for my friends who did have only PS4 and Xbox One base versions. I still wanted cross-progression since PC is my main gaming center now, but Dead by Daylight kept me coming back to the console. After this recent patch every chase now ends in some sort of stutter or freeze. And if this is how it’s going to go, there has to be a way to carry over all of your progress, and I don’t know what their excuse is to why they can’t allow Xbox to PC Progression, that should be the bare minimum. If the older gen consoles are failing to keep up, players need a way to escape it and not lose hundreds of dollars.

If we have to rebuy all the DLC and regrind the game just to avoid the bad console performance, I'm just quitting. I have p3'd only one character because I have no intention on playing the Dbd grind game.

I agree. Performance issues have gotten worse and it has been weeks. Still can't even enjoy the RPD map. Yet, cosmetics keep coming through nonstop.
I have nothing against cosmetics but at this point it seems like cosmetics get pumped out faster and more frequently than bug and glitch fixes.

I was thinking that too, but even if they can’t bring cross-progression to PS4 and Steam, why can’t they allow Xbox to Microsoft Store on PC.

It would be nice, but there's something else to consider: this game runs only slightly better on most PC's. Unless you're running a very good setup, you're still going to deal with constant freezing, only now at 60fps!

Doubt it's Microsoft. Dead By Daylight is on Gamepass, which allows you to play on last gen xbox, current gen xbox and Windows Store all on the same account. The Windows Store version uses your Xbox Live Gamertag so the infrastructure for cross progression is already there for Microsoft gamers.

Not exactly true. Both of those companies allow much better games to do cross progression.

True in this case. BHVR has stated they want cross-progression, but it is an issue with Microsoft and Sony. It could be a price issue, or something else in Sony's case.
They aren't exactly known to be easiest company to work with.

I think a good way to do Cross-Progression would be carry over everything, if two consoles have matching dlc you get compensated in the form of auric cells. Same goes for duplicate cosmetics.

Smaller companies are able to do this quite easily. I feel its less of a money issue and more of a "can't be bothered issue or didn't want to pay" the only thing they did cross progression for was basically a near dead platform people even forgot existed.
Please stop making an excuse for a company who barely cares about its consumers. Your looking at a company who couldn't care less about the numerous bugs, crippling performance issues, clown not having a power that works, consoles bricking due to DBD, lies constantly and hasn't kept almost any word they have said. Just recently instead of fixing anything they instead fix cosmetic sets pretend its a license thing. Then people who contacted said companies found out it was nothing to do with them and all BHVR.

It used to be on the road map years ago. People asked about it when consoles started having issues and again when cross play was announced it was eventually removed.
Then again I assume you know this.
Why wouldn't people want to abandon console with the state it is in currently. Is it fair everytime me or you opens up DBD on console we risking destroying it? Not to mention even PC has issues with it atm. Most PC can't brute force everything.

I'm not making excuses for a company. BHVR has ######### up a lot recently, but I am stating what I have heard. You don't get to act like you know what I'm doing. I used to play on Console, I know how ######### it is,
I also just know Sony. Sony doesn't play nice with any company, unless they are huge. When Fornite was first getting cross-play, PlayStation wasn't even going to be a part of it until the Internet freaked the ######### out on them. I don't know what the issue is with Microsoft, but I know for a fact Sony very well may be holding them back from PlayStation cross-progression.

That was because at the time Sony had the lead on the market. They didn't need to do cross play/progression. Let's assume it's true about PSN. I find it a bit odd that they wouldn't try for the Nintendo and Microsoft yet to force Sony's hand.
Also my bad just sounded more like you wanted to defend them. Like a lot of people like too. Especially with how bad DBD is getting.

No, DbD is very ######### right now. I don't know if it's the Devs or whoever's above them, but something needs to change. I genuinely think the game will die if this keeps going on.
Sony just doesn't play nice with others. They never have. They've been getting a little bit better these past few years, but I definitely wouldn't hold it last them to just say "No." To cross-progression. And I don't know enough about Microsoft to have any opinion. I may be wrong, though

This would be very nice as well If I could get my stuff back between ps4 accounts too :)
