This anniversary event is seriously convincing me to become a Spirit main
5.0.1 killed my enthusiasm for this game since I lost my headless Susie and Demon's End Minotaur Oni, but at least I was having fun with Nemesis because he got....slightly more stable. Not really, but enough to instantly go from hard-stuck rank 4-6 to rank 1. It's really freaking sad just how much pressure you lose by missing ONE whip or basic attack due to lag. A possible 3k can become a 0k because of it.
Well, 5.0.2 made EVERYTHING worse again. BHVR released a 12gb update to make killer even more miserable than it already is. The stutters are so bad I'm losing chase while running in a straight line because someone across the map either Dead Harded or unhooked somebody. It's not unique to Nemmy. Any killer that has Killer Instinct suffers terribly, and Demo's pulses from his Meat Flower freezes you too so no Shreds unless the survivor is running in a straight line. Legion is borderline unplayable.
Now this leads me to my point. After dealing with all this crap, this anniversary event is bringing out some really toxic people with inflated egos. Balanced Landing gamers going to Haddonfield and being incredibly disrespectful. Whatever. But what really annoys me is people getting cocky and thinking "ez baby trash killer lmfao" because Chase was extended +30 seconds because my console locks up going for a hit, and having to recover from that 3x in a match.
I don't know why I'm suffering so much trying to play fun chase killers and 8 hook everybody when the opposite side has no intention on showing me the same respect.
I literally cannot use killer powers to express my skill, so I'll use a killer that can just not use their power and get kills because of it. And what do you know, Spirit's easy AF to win with and makes people DC on sight. Feels awful to go against, almost like being sent to Haddonfield with Balanced Landing squads :)
I actually really don't want to play Spirit, my hipster personality demands that I play garbage killers but here I am. Is this the inevitable end result of a killer player?

Playing with Spirit is unfulfilling but have at it.

I mean the great thing about playing a killer that's incredibly strong is that if the people you're playing against are bad or they're not try hards, you can just go easy on them. But, in the event that they are really sweaty, hey, you're playing a killer that can absolutely demolish them.
That's the problem with most killers in the pool, most of the time you'll do fine because matchmaking is a joke, but when you get a team that really knows what they're doing, you're going to have issues. And you could run into those people 3 games in a row on an unlucky day, enough to make you log off.

You should play any killer you want. I wish you people stop being bullied into following rulebooks. Especially you for whom the game barely works.
You are playing with handicap and you are hesitant to play a more viable killer.
Go all out just don't be toxic like them.

Unfulfilling if you enjoy losing I guess.

Does this apply to survivors too?

Winning because players do not try is definitely, definitionally, absolutely, totally boring.
And yes, the possibility of losing is what makes my games and my gameplay more fun for me. No gen regression. Don’t mind keys. Overcome.
Knowing that a player can only win with one specific top tier killer has gotta be a bummer, too.

Of course.

Dew it.

If you think Spirit doesn’t have to try against good players, you don’t know the game. Against these type of survivors, there is no “possibility” of losing with most killers- it is a certainty because the game is imbalanced.

I think I don’t have to try when playing Spirit in pubs.

Right because most survivors playing are potatos. I can 4k in most pubs with killers I’m not good with. Go against good survivors consistently and get back to me.

I do. That's why I have this opinion.

Lost cosmetics how? As in they're missing from your inventory? If so try clicking the sort by rarity button in your customization menu. It worked for me anyway.

Then the survivors you’re facing aren’t as good as you think. It isn’t easy to win with spirit against good players.
