Are we going to address the absolute poor optimization on consoles?
If the killer even so much as equips sloppy butcher it might aswell be a free 10 stacks of save the best for last because it freezes the game

I'm on PS4 and I can't play anything that isn't Ghostface, Spirit or Trapper because every other killer causes constant freezes that make them unplayable. Even uncloaking as Wraith causes the game to freeze for 2 seconds, making his speed boost useless. Really sad that this is the anniversary event and I feel like I can't even properly participate.

It’s so bad hopefully it will get fixed at some point. It’s even worse when you play as killer and someone uses DH then you’ll lose them.

From what I've come to gather, no, they are actually doing their best to avoid even acknowledging the state of console right now, I guess their pretending it doesn't exist so they don't have to acknowledge how ######### up it was to sell the RE chapter to us knowing what it did to consoles from their internal play testing.

It's absolutely unacceptable that the game is unplayable, on top of the constant updates destroying the health of the game this is just makes the game a nightmare to even attempt to play. I'm not spending any more money on a game that I cant even play and the devs REFUSE to address or comment on. And this is coming from someone who's been following the game since it came out

I'm mainly baffled at how they thought it's a good idea to start the event sooner when console performance is this bad. They really should've delayed it, and if they don't, at least extend it until console players can actually play the game.

I'm of the personal belief that their terrified of bad press right now as they've just released the Capcom licensed chapter and Capcom are super strict about how you handle their licenses so we've been sold down the river.

You guys are ruining my mood. I wish I got back before re chapter and played some more before this happened.
Now you are making me think it is really over for us. And them removing the notice (still gone) makes me bummed I won't be able to play properly once more.
It can't be over yet. I want to play once more on this gen like I did before at least for a month. Then I will be satisfied.

I don't personally believe it's over, the fact the issue is causing HDD related choking means the issues they have created is serious and going to be a pain to straighten out, it's definitely not a "bug", I think it's been brewing problem with how it streams data while you play and the last chapter has just been the breaking point. Regardless they have to fix it, them not making an official statement on the severity of the problem is only going to last so long before they face serious backlash and consequences.
I imagine they feel serious pressure to fix it with the Capcom license being involved, but it being fixed next Tuesday might be wishful thinking for a issue of this magnitude.

I was playing it earlier for an hour and a half and just decided to put it down and step away. Partly also because of the frequency of toxic players going out of their way to ruin the event for you. It just hasn’t been recently.
Also does anyone else have SERIOUS fps issues when going against a huntress with the crypt tv skin? Or is it just a switch issue?

I mean you ask if we are gonna address it yet that's been a main focal point of conversation since this chapter came out. BHVR has made multiple tweets about it and there have been many forum posts on it. So its not like people haven't been talking about. Now has BHVR done anything about it? not really because its BHVR. I've seen some people say its gotten somewhat better but also plenty of people who claim its only gotten worse with each patch.

They've also talked about just generalized "performance" issues which is certainly a lot more all encompassing when referring to console, but like anything else in BHVR they aren't consistent and probably don't talk to each other.

Two bug fix patches have come and gone, and neither did anything about the piss-poor state of the game's performance on PS4/Xbox One. If the next patch doesn't fix it, it'll be safe to assume it's not a priority for them.

It was an event last year. 4th year maybe or lunar. I don’t recall. I know it was almost impossible to play killer on ps4 for a week or two. Had to submit video per request. It was a similar issue with FPS dropping or game ‘skipping’. I don’t really recall the event but it was an update and maybe beginning of a tome?

Well I'm re-downloading the game while I sleep to see if it does anything to help, I'll let you know if it helps at all (it won't).

Me too several times. RE update made console performance very unstable and bad, & both patches afterward made it even worse.

I just switched from console to PC today. The difference is huge (at least on my high-end PC). I read that they were supposed to fix some of the performance issues with the last update. Did it not work?

As survivor, there's still freezes. As killer, especially Nemesis, always freezes when I use my power. This is some bullshit.
