Thoughts on Calm Spirit?
It seems like I'm the only person who actually likes Calm Spirit, as I run it as part of my main perk build. I very rarely see others use it except for the rather uncommon Jake going for adept. I find the perk very useful in certain situations.
Whenever the killer is the Doctor or Nightmare, the killer is using Infectious Fright, Iron Maiden, or Dragon's Grip, or the killer is using one of the few addons that cause screaming, and I don't have Calm Spirit, I feel very exposed. Calm Spirit helps against Doctor, as he can no longer track you via the static blast alone (without specific addons, which are countered by Distortion.) It helps with Freddy as you can step on his snares without shouting, allowing you to effectively disarm them for your team without Freddy finding you. Calm Spirit is arguably most effective against Infectious Fright, as it's a somewhat common perk, and Calm Spirit renders you completely immune to it's effects. An angry Oni with Infectious Fright ain't so powerful when Calm Spirit is around.
On the other hand, these situations are quite uncommon, so Calm Spirit is rarely actually used. The perk is very good at what it does, but what it does rarely comes into play. However, I simply don't mind using a perk slot for Calm Spirit, as when these situations DO happen, I feel quite hopeless.
What do you guys think about Calm Spirit? Do you think it's absolute trash (like many others seem to think,) do you think it's actually useful? Or something else?

she don't look too calm

Whoo look we got a comedian in the house.
However, your joke is invalid. First off, I capitalized it as "Calm Spirit" which indicates I mean the perk. If I meant the Spirit being calm, I wouldn't have capitalized "Calm."
Second of all, I did specifically say "perk" in the description.

Okay and I posted spirit, I win B)

The the joke is funny just laugh it off XD

Its too situational like you said but you forget the perk dont trigger those sexy crow. In all honestly i think the perk is a waste and you are better off with something else personnaly i woyld like to introduce you to the god and savior OoO

Use what you want, fine by me.
But i just can't control my thoughts after hitting a CS user as Wraith: "Why?"
Now i know very well they can't realize I'm Wraith beforehand, but i still think like that.
Anyway i like Survivors using it against me, it's one Perk less to worry about.

I'd say it's waaaaay too situational to be good, similar to Balanced Landing. Therefore, I honestly don't remember the last time I've used it.
When it comes to regular games, it's useless. However, when it comes to games where you're going against a Doctor, or maybe Infectious Fright, you'll be wishing you have Calm Spirit. Therefore while I can see the payoff every once and awhile, I just wouldn't use it myself.

Calm spirit has helped me in early game before considering I've been found plenty of times because a crow moved

I mean, the joke was pretty funny tho.

It was funny, I was simply explaining why it was invalid.

I actually think Calm Spirit could use more advantages. Like suppressing the grunts from falling, suppressing the coughing from The Plague and The Nemesis's sicknesses, and removing the noise notification from someone failing a healing skill check on you (as it removes the scream but not the notification.)

Its never worth it because 75 percent of the time it doesnt get used. Its very situational and is a waste of a perk slot

As far as I’m aware it’s useful at countering an aspect of one killer’s power (which is bad design btw)
Crows…meh. It’s gotten to the point now where stealth gameplay just ends up detrimental to the team, especially when you haven’t been hooked yet and your teammates are on death hook.

It's a pretty good perk but not good enough to be part of my regular build. I think people who don't pay attention to crows like to downplay how often they can help/hurt both killers and survivors.

I'm mostly talking about it's ability to make you immune to screaming. Not the crows.

The problem is that even if the survivor knew you were playing Wraith beforehand, it is known that removing Calm Spirit would transmogrify you into The Doctor whether you picked him or not.

Good point, i do like playing Doctor...

You asked for thoughts on Calm Spirit. I gave mine.

As a Doctor main, I just want to say CS helps for some Doctors. For those who use it only as a tracking perk, then CS is great.
However, the madness tiering still occurs. So Restraint, Illusionary Doctors, etc. Will still occur.
I also pair Doctor with Whispers. My goal isn't to find survivors but to guarantee madness and location. If Whispers is going off, but Static Blast hits nobody its either a Calm Spirit but most likely hiding in a locker.
I think CS may seem niche, but it helps with not just particular killers but for Infectious Fright, which is fairly popular. Killer can be running IF and Starstruck. They know where you are and you are exposed now.
I think I've ran into a handful of doctor when I play survivor. But since I main him, I know the limits and can tell if its a good player or not.
My current build is Whispers/BBQ/Corrupt Intervention/Surge. I call it "Constant Chase Doc". No time to stop, just keep moving.

I actually run Distortion alongside Calm Spirit. Restraint addons will not work until after Distortion runs out of tokens.
And about the Doctor illusions, those can't pinpoint your exact location and thus you can still hide.

Distortion is good especially with LP and BBQ being popular now. You can go a whole match and potentially only use up 1 token.
Madness and 3 tier up will happen within 3 minutes (60s cooldown for static blast). That's assuming no BBQ or anything.
Ilillusion doctors are a little RNG, but they are good echolocations that aren't as strong as killer instinct but stronger than Nemesis' zombies. Its always 4m facing you (regardless if you are in a locker or in a building) and spawn is between every 8-16s. In those 8s you can travel maybe 32m away so general area is good and them 2nd doctor will go off so it can help pinpoint area.

Needs a buff did not work as intended spirit was not calm she was exactly as pissed off as she normally is. did calm birds however.

Your chase build looks pretty interesting. Have you had a chance to try out Lethal Pursuer? I've been trying to roll that on Doc

Interesting points. I might start trying out Calm Spirit more. I used it a lot a while back, when there seemed to be a lot of doctor play at the time. Now, I run into a lot Nemesis.

I'm working on unlocking Nemesis perks during the event. I think he's like 25 or something. With the long weekend I'm hoping to get in like 20 matches which should get him to 40. I have plenty of cakes but I want 5 stacks so I get 5 games' worth of BP as a bonus
I did try LP on Nemesis and I found it a little meh tbh. I had RCPD map and they were all on the opposite side of the map. Its not like wraith, nurse or spirit which can get there in within seconds. I think Doctor is very flexible in regards to builds, but running LP when Static Blast, Whispers exist throughout the whole match doesn't seem worth a spot. Even with Corrupted Intervention, most survivors spawn by those gens most times. Even on small maps ill find them quickly thanks to Whispers (Lerys is the best)
Honorable mentions for Doctor are Thrilling Tremors (Static Blast, pick up and then TT locks out gens in your TR that are being worked on), Starstruck (don't run Distressing as he is too slow to make use of it), PGTW + Oppression + Surveillance (you kick a gen and it'll show you regression, really good for 3 gen strat). I used to run gen damage perks but its too time consuming to damage gens. Doctor isn't mobile so Corrupt/Surge are his slowdowns without slowing him down (no totem guarding, no kicking). This is great with Blast Mine being a thing. I don't have to kick gens and get blinded.

I played against a calm spirit vivor as doc and it was fairly amusing/annoying. The main thing was that I could never tell when I hit the calm nea with my power cause she would never scream.
However, doc is probably the only killer other than anyone using infectious fright that is hindered at all by calm spirit.

I often don't get hit by every single static blast he uses.

What do you think of flashbang as wraith?
0 -
its just an OK perk, and not enough to convince most people that its worth using.

The same as what i think of Firecrackers: Don't have to fear them any more as Wraith than as any other Killer.
