Do Cakes Encourage Boring Games?
I have encountered far too many boring games since the event started than I ever did before. So many killers are tunnelling and face-camping, and so many survivors are bringing Prove Thyself/BNPs and keys. And for some reason these people do these things in games with 4 or 5 event cakes.
From the survivor side I have experienced either me or my friends getting tunnelled and camped off hook, a huge amount of Wraith players who are using silent bell + indoor map offerings, Nurses with Infectious who slug the entire team with 4 or 5 gens left, and Bubbas with Insidious who camp their first hook in the basement.
And then when I have tried to play killer, many games have ended within 5 minutes because of Prove Thyself, BNPs, keys, and just general gen-rushing strategies. Not to mention the surprising amount of Haddonfield offerings.
Just curious as to how many people on here have been having terrible games like I have since the event started, and why people could possibly want to play so boring (for both sides) when each game gets 300-500% extra bloodpoints?

Its the same for me for both sides lol.
However almost noone using cakes in my games but me. Its a sweatfest with no BP gain and its the worst event for me so far.

Save your cakes don't bother using them. Because you won't get anything from them. Killers will make sure you get next to nothing if you bring them.

You say that like survivors don't try to do the same thing with gen rushing(So many toolboxes with BNP's and Prove thyself) and keys as an Archive challenge requires a skeleton key or rainbow map escape to complete.
So its not uncommon for even the killer to get less then 15k points this event.

Never implied that survivors don't do the same with gen rushing at all. But I have not been able to even play killer cuz the q times are god awful so i've been only playing survivor. If survivors are just wanting to bum rush gens when everyone is bringing cakes then less points for them too. But I always play killer during events to farm and let people get their crowns. I'm not someone who cares to win and sweats for 4k cuz everyone brought cakes like 90% of killers the last two days. I'm seeing less and less people bring cakes and I honestly don't blame them. People aren't getting their use from them aside from selfish players.

I don't think it's cakes, I think it's toxic players coming back for the event and deliberately doing crap like running Franklin's or farming teammates.
Edit: also, survivors get doubly awarded for surviving, because of the 5k BP multiplied by 1+the number of cakes, and earning a crown. So, time to slam gens.

Honestly, I'm seeing no difference to how people play this game 99% of the time lol.
Killers doing what they can to get kills (as they are entitled to do), and survivors teabaggging, flashlight clicking and powering through gens in no time (again, not blaming the survivors).

Funny, for me it is the opposide.
Yes I have a mixed bag of opponents and I had keys and other questionable stuff. But so far I had descent matches with good players, mostly writing "gg" and then leaving, only waiting at the gate for a quick hit out. Sure, some people pushed gens hard and some where very good with their flashlight, but that was just the game.
As a survivor I had descent Killers who did not camp or tunnel. No complains so far.

I've had a few farming killers, but they've all done it pretty boring, with the obvious intention of eventually killing us all anyway as they wouldn't let us get too far away. So the only choice was after the 2nd hook to nope outta there, do the furthest gens from their little hook farming enterprise, and then just escape.

The most boring is a match without any cake offering / 2x points. Feels like empty and just a regular game.
