IIRC the devs stated they were no longer going to make lunar events and winter events big things so they can focus more on the Anniversary and Halloween events. Because of the killer addon last year I was expecting this kinda thing to return next year. Sure it wasnt the best and was a flat out hinderance on some killers but at least it was new and intresting on some of them. But this just feels like a copy pasta of the 4th year one with a slightly different cake and crown. I feel they are being more generous but just changing the refresh time on the shrine and dropping the cost doesnt feel like it would take that much extra effort. I was wondering what other people thought because I wasnt playing back at the 4th year anniversary but just from looking at videos it seems more or less the same.

    It's... literally the same event, yes. There was no extra effort. It was just another excuse to be lazy

    You aren't alone. A lot of people have expressed their disappointment with the event. It's basically a copy/paste of last year's event, but worse (since the event has been fraught with problems and the game itself is barely playable for many people in the community).

    I can only assume that the sheer ambition of the RE Chapter's content took up a lot of the time and effort which would have otherwise gone into the Anniversary Event, so they threw together what we currently have. I don't have the energy to prove it, but I even think some of the DbD Team quotes displayed during loading screens may also be carry-overs from last year as well; at the very least some of them look extremely familiar.

    I just really hope this doesn't mean that Halloween 2021 is gonna be Eternal Blight 2: Electric Bugaloo.

    Same. I really doubt that, with how surprisingly bitter the community can be during events, we're getting these recolours for Wraith and David. I feel like we'll be lucky to even get this first milestone.

    Of course there isn't, BHVR half-ass everything now.

    Even if the new map is enabled, i've had it ONCE since the event has started out of probably about 80-90 games total.

    Every new update with this game is just disappointing now

    Oh,don't worry.

    We'll get them anyway,BHVR will just act that we met the goal so that everyone can have a wholesome community moment while ""enjoying"" those unique rewards that definetely took a whole year to design 😉

    I want the crown thing to stop - The battlepass is enough. What do we do next year? A year 6 crown with 4 additional characters on each side?

    I hate it - I would prefer that you pick up a crown for one side and you have it for all characters on that side or give us some challenge event thing to fill up like older events OR better yet ideally do what BHVR used to do in their original old celebrations / events and just give us the item for the crown.

    if there wasn't many characters sure - But it's honestly a chore having to go through every single character just to collect the crown. People will say you don't HAVE to get it but the thing is if you enjoy this game and play it why wouldn't you? It's just why does BHVR have to make it so grindy / tasking.

    Also for those who disagree with me say the same thing to me next year when we have 4 more characters on each side that also have to get the year 6 crown along with the previous ones. Absolute insanity.

    crowns that are just a cosmetic that really does nothing but people need so badly

    Every game I've had on either side has been. "Must slaughter team ASAP"

    "Must finish gens as fast as possible and get out."


    they haven't changed a thing from last years event save for one thing.


    They changed a 4 into a 5. 105% bonus with the cakes.

    I mean quite frankly I wouldnt mind at least there was something special with the new addons but yeah things are looking grim.
