Will console DBD be fixed before the end of the anniversary?
Killer is virtually unplayable for me right now with all the lengthy framedrops and freezing. Survivor's a little better but still awful. I'd like to get crowns on some of my killers but just the thought of loading into a killer match with this framerate turns me off the whole anniversary thing.

I wouldn't get your hopes up

Maybe around the 14th

No. Devs don't see it as a priority. Focus is on cosmetics, like usual.

TBH, Console DbD wasn't fixed before the anniversary either. Things just got worse from there.

Nope. The game is nearly unplayable as killer on console and it isn't much better as survivor. The fact that they aren't pulling double shifts and working 7 day weeks when the game is in this state tells you they don't care that much. They got the payday from the chapter release and they're assuming, rightfully so, that anyone that leaves because of the bugs will come back next chapter or mid-chapter.

Give them a couple of week to sort it, if no news, communication or anything then it becomes time to take it up with Sony, who actually have rules about game stability to sell on their store.
Can't speak for Microsoft as I've no idea

Optimization on console never really happened before, and there were anniversaries before.
I'm not sure that even lower frames and some freezes would make them suddenly do it.
And even if they fix it right now, it still has to go through some processing.
At the very least: Don't count on it being a-okay today.

No chance. I don't know if it will be fixed, period.
I'm just farming as killer, no point in playing legit matches. If people want to gen rush because it's on their nature or "farming is boring" then so be it, but I'm not going out of my way to play legit matches as killer until it gets fixed.

I am just going to keep loging in for shards until that is over. After that I am probably going to forget about dbd for a while if it isn't fixed by then.
I am already losing interest in watching streams and browsing forums since I can't play the game anymore.
For those that are still playing the game on last gen in its current state, I suggest not torturing yourself too much. Play games that actually work. Unless you are still having fun more than you are annoyed.
Peace out for now.

I always played on ps4 without any issue till 5.0.1 when I begun to have same lag, but it was since 5.0.2 that the thing really change my game play experience, freeze after freeze after freeze. It feels bad man...

I hope so but i'm not expecting it to happen.

I’m in the same boat. I wouldn’t expect a fix before the event ends, so instead I recommend a change of mindset.
What works for me is to go into each killer match with no expectations of a “win”. I set different goals for myself. Also, I don’t bring add-ons or offerings as I generally expect the game to be nearly unplayable, so these would be wasted. That said, my gameplay priorities are:
- Find crown
- Play normally - going for 2 hooks per survivor and NO kills.
- If you find another crown, carry a survivor to it, swipe at it, and let them wiggle off. (It’s so much more fun when you get to actually CARRY them there!)
- Party at the exit gate! Everybody’s so sparkly!
And that’s it! If cakes are offered, everyone gets lots of points. If the game is unplayable, you still got your crown and they at least got a couple chases, maybe a couple rescues.
I find that this mentality leads to a much more relaxed experience. You may be concerned about pips, but if I’m being honest I don’t think that lag spikes will be fixed for the next few rank reset cycle anyway.

Thanks for sharing this point of view. The frustration was getting to be too much. I think going this route might help me enjoy playing again. I guess I will just have to hold off on playing survivor. The frames dropping has cost me so many games. And the killers I've encountered during this event have just been horrible to play against.

They’ll repair it when the anniversary is gone as usual ..

I think killer is easier to play. And I highly doubt it will be fixed before the event is done. At least killers don't have to do anything but find the crown.

Nope. It might get fixed in another 5 years, if BHVR doesn’t pull the plug on last gen before then.

Is it still that bad? Jesus christ... idk because I have not played in almost a week. Why is BEhaviour breaking DBD even more with each update?!😭

No problem! Games are meant to entertain, but this one gets people so riled up! I’m always happy to see people take a step back and find ways to enjoy themselves!

Play crossplay off. Very good queues on ps4.

Hasn't been fixed in 3 years now ever since the Clown was released and status effects were shown.
Not a chance in hell.
