Bite the bullet is bad, but it could be good
Bite the bullet is a nice perk and all but why would I run that instead of autodidact? I think that if bite the bullet hid you and the person being healed from aura reading it would be a very good perk. Thanks for reading!

It’s a good perk, it’s just currently bugged (not removing all noise sometimes).
Your idea has been discussed before. A Self Care user could abuse the aura blocking to have aura blocking whenever they wanted. Sloppy Butcher would make it MORE abusable.

My Idea for it is to guarantee a safe heal. I can see the self care blocking bbq. Perhaps if it was blocking aura reading within 32 meters. to counter nurse's calling. but no indirectly nerf bbq aura.

If you want to counter Nurses Calling, then you’ll need to run an aura blocking perk with Bite The Bullet.

I'm saying I have more fun with autodidact and it can have a greater effect on the game. Meanwhile I find myself having no reason to run bite the bullet.

I have not seen bite the bullet in any public game on a character other than leon. I would like it to do just a little bit more. The aura blocking is just one idea. I would just like it to be a better perk.

It's not very strong by itself and there are way better perks in a healing build. I just don't see use in it.

Literally, anything is better than Autodidact. Its a fun perk but if we are discussing actual usefulness bite the bullet is more helpful. Autodidact can single-handedly lose an entire game with it's RNG.
Bite the bullet just needs to work when someone else is healing you. At the moment it only works when you heal yourself or others. It should extend the effect to nearby survivors.

Lose a game... (eye roll). I never understand this claim.

At the end of the day bite the bullet sucks, and I want more to the perk. It doesn't do enough to warrant a perk slot when dead hard and borrowed time exists.

I want bite the bullet to have more to it. Aura blocking for nurse's is the only idea I have for it.

It's next to useless compared to other survivor perks. It needs a buff.

Yeah it can. I've used autodidact in situations where the others are slugged and it can turn the tide back to the survivors or be worse than running no perks, depends if you got your stacks or not

But that strongly implies that many more factors attributed to the loss than simply not having the right Autodidact RNG. Saying the perk can “single handedly” lead to losses is a bit much.

Because it can. Using the slugging situation as an example, If you had to choose from having 0 or 1 stack of autodidact to heal them up vs NO PERK equipped at all - literally having no perk is more reliable because autodidact is very likely to regress the heal while the killer is on their way back. Getting them healed up in time can remove A LOT of the killers pressure. Autodidact is a fun memey perk - however there is no reason to run it over WGLF, we'll make it or even Botany knowledge. A perk based on RNG is just plain bad.

I had an idea for meme build where you bring a green medkit and run Lucky Break, Iron Will, Botany, and Bite the Bullet. you could potentially pull off a heal right in front of the killer without him knowing.

Bite the Bullet to me just seems like it’s more of a perk for new survivors. Or at least someone who loves to heal and constantly misses skill checks.
If those two don’t apply to you, than you’d be wasting a perk slot.
