Freezes on console
This has been ruining the game for some time but no matter if I play killer or survivor I always have my game freezing.everytime I dead hard or unhook someone my game will freeze for like 2 second and I won't be able to do anything and I've died multiple times from this.As killer every generator that gets done and every time a survivor vaults my game freezes for 2 seconds and again It goes back to normal, it doesn't matter if it's only 2 second, no gane should have a problem like this. Behavior really needs to fix console versions of dbd cuz this is really pissing me off.Its so bad to the point where playing survivor is almost unplayable.

I play on PS4 so I know the pain, freezing and FPS drops when anything happens is annoying, especially in the chase.
Since devs don't care about optimization for consoles, and cross progression is non existent, you are free to join me in the PS5 waiting room....when they restock that is.

For me I've tried to see the bright side.
If my fps drops as someone gets hit I know automatically one of the killers perks.
Sloppy butcher.

I really love it.
FPS drops when
-You get hit by Freddy,Sloppy Butcher,Exposed status effect
-An icon appears on your screen (e.g Leader,Prove Thyself,Dying Light,Thanatophobia etc.)
-You get your first stack of Bloodlust in a chase
-Someone gets hooked or unhooked
-Someone is using an exhaustion perk (especially Dead Hard)

the amount of times ive ran into a wall because of FPS stutters is too many to count

Yes this seems to be on the rise for me. It's always been here and there but like 3-4 patches ago all hell broke loose on my side. Feel like a fart could make my frames drops and a survivor disappear nowadays.

Console players listed a bunch of the triggers for FPS drops for both killer and survivor in this now closed post https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/187573/console-optimization#latest. Since that post those triggers still exist and new ones have popped up in patches. There are players here who have posted videos where you can see the FPS drops from the triggers. We've gotten vague brush off responses like "we'll pass it on to the team", "we'll look into it", and my new favorite "we won't tell you what we fixed for performance but after a patch if you notice an improvement it's because we fixed something."

Whenever my swf teammate gets hit across the map and my game freezes I go "killer has sloppy butcher?" and answer is always "yep." 😂

Kinda funny how perks like Sloppy Butcher are pretty much chase perks against console players like us 🤣

Also a location perk, freeze during skill check and you know which gens are being worked on. 😂

the new consoles won't fix this issue, my friend is on the series x and she's getting the same problem as I am. this needs to get fixed soon or there won't be a console community anymore.

I tried to play some games as survivor and killer yesterday,the freezes and lags were so bad it was unplayable. All this ONLY after this cursed resident evil update!!!!!!!! I wont play till they fix this game because i cant. Playstation store needs to remove dead by daylight from the store asap,its unprofessional and really low to throw a game in this state for consoles live only to grab money from customers. I truly hope this game get screwed badly so they can understand things like this cant be done to customers.
