Then why are we more likely to depip if we get 2 kills or not pip at all?

    In short: Because the pip system is bad and not meaningful.

    Because the emblem system is flawed, the devs are aware of it and they're simply going to bypass it with mmr, leaving ranks and pips for rewards and achievements.

    Easy solution: stop caring about pips, because the devs don't care about them either.

    Thats the serious flaw here. They cant base the rank up system around kills because everyone woukd hard camp the first person, then get a second right before/after gens completed with noed and then hope to get a third. The best killer would be bubba with lethal pursuer, ci, noed. They dont want to encourage that because everyone would hate it.

    BUT for balance theyre hard focused on 2k 2e for some reason. Its why theres no hard win condition.

    Really balance should be 8 hooks., NOT hook stages btw. 8 hooks

    Because if you are getting over 2 kills a game you are supposed to be moving to the next rank to face harder survivors. But in reality it doesn’t work. You can get a 0k pip up as legion or a 4K depip as Billy.

    Another question would be why can survivors rank up when they died ? If killrate is the statistic we're balancing around, any survivors who doesn't survive should't ever pip, at best blackpip.

    Asking the important questions here, aren't we.

    Yes, you are right. People thinking each match have to finish with 2 escapes and 2 deaths but no. Some matches will finish 4 escapes, some 4 kills, 3 kills, 1 kill etc.

    But total avarage has to be near 50% kill rate. People get it wrong.
