Licenced characters.
Hi BHVR!
I made that discussion cause I would love to know is there anything going on about the licensed characters?
What chance we have to see better models for Laurie, Quentin and Tapp? How long we have to wait yet for new cosmetics for them?
Now we have anniversary about 5 years with that cool game and it is really cool. It's awesome that you making your own characters and you add licenced characters too, but that would be really cool, when we will not feel a diferences between them.
As a licenced character main player you can't change look on your character and now even crown is a problem.
Is BHVR still working on get full licence about them?
Cause when we can play Quentin only with one standard look, or we can't get a crown on Laurie it's like you will have character but in 30%.
Is there any chance for change that situation in future?

Laurie is getting a (substantially) better model. I’d look it up for you but I can’t recall where it came from.
I’ll come back if I do find it.

The rest of the Survivor remodels are coming with the next mid-Chapter update, as confirmed in yesterdays developer update.
Whether this Laurie change comes alongside them is yet to be seen, as it was never officially showcased by BHVR, only leaked from elsewhere.

I see they still don't have the rights to Jamie Lee Curtis's likeness. Hair looks infinitely better but I'll be honest, I prefer her old face.
Now we just have to wait and see if Quentin has stopped looking like a sickly old man.

This is the best artwork I've seen about models, they should looks like this :)

They'd need to pay the actors for their likeness, which would definitely cost a lot.

In my opinion, actors should have in mind that if it weren't for BHVR, I might never have watched the movies they played in - I say it quite honestly - "Halloween", "Nightmare on Elm Street" or "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" I saw them because of that, that I started playing DBD and became interested in where they came from. I'm probably not the only one like that. So IMO Dead by Daylight makes their popularity too, so they should be more 'friendly' about licence. :)

No offense, but I highly doubt they care about one more person watching their movies. Even if they did, they'd still want to be paid.

In the context of the movie(s) they appeared in, the actors don’t have the rights to their own face. J.L. Curtis doesn’t own her “Laurie” appearance, the studio does. It’s weird, but it is what it is.

I doubt any studio actually buys the rights to the actors' likeness for eternity. They probably license the actors' likeness for merchandise and the films that they've already made, but not for new things like this.

So get a right for actor face, cause studio have right only to full look - so change clothes give us faces, easy way :D
In option - full look Laurie like in movie with weird face - or - Laurie's face in different clothes - I would choose second option :D
