Is farming while the event fine?

I have question for both sides? Do you think while the event is going, farming is fine? So everyone can get their crowns.

I had many trials where killers camped, sluged and tunneled because people where trying to get the crowns or on the other side, survivors used 4 Event Offerings but rushed all gens in 4 minutes and left the trial.

For me, I don't care if a killer farms or plays normal as long as they don't tunnel just one person because for no reason. But I am planing on farming as a killer because I want everyone to enjoy the event.

So, do you think it is fine to farm in this case? Is their a right or wrong answer?

There's no right or wrong answer imo. I'd do whatever you feel is right. I did a lot of farming Day 1 and 2, now I'm basically just playing normally unless someone grabs a crown, I'll let them escape.

Farming is okay, as long as you don't force people into it. You can't make everybody farm with you honestly. If they want to then that's fine ofcourse, especially now with the cakes. but if they don't then just play normal.

If you want to let survivors know you wanna farm, hit gens with your basic attack, nod head or crouch/t-bag with killers that can, stop chasing them and just stand still (most of the time they will come look what happened)

It's okay. some players find it nice and some boring, but farming is way better than going afk.

With the grind that dbd has, farming is a very nice thing to do. If people don't want to they can dc.

I like farming. It is a relaxing break and everyone gets lots of points out of it especially with the event cakes. And it is not bannable as long as it isn't forced farming

Farming is always an option, if someone doesn't want to do it they don't have to. Killer can obviously just kill the survivors, a survivor that doesn't want to do it can do gens and leave ASAP. Most of the time it seems like when serious farming starts (like taking turns getting hooked until everyone has been hooked twice) everyone seems to join in, at least in my experience.

Just don't turn it into some sort of jerky thing where people try to "force" others into farming. Like bringing the killer to the survivor that doesn't want to farm and getting them killed, or getting mad at people for not wanting to do it.

Farming is not against the rules, as long as you don't force people into farming.

If you want to let everyone go for their crowns, that's totally fine imo. They also contribute towards the community goal of 500k crowns (and then we get 2 charms).

I don't really like farming, but the occasional farm is alright. I just really don't like it when I don't want to farm but everyone else is and the killer has a lightbulb moment: Where's the other survivor?

Then proceeds to farm me to death with the other survivors because I didn't want to farm. Not a nice experience, which is why I tend to "farm" a bit more now to try to avoid this. Even though I don't always want to.

I've had a lot more killers not even farm, just crown hunt. And then take the opportunity to derank too is probably part of it. I'm not bringing in any add-ons during the event since survivors are now punished by losing them when killers are AFK to derank, which happens every time I play, event or not.

5 cakes plus the right perks a killer will get over 200k and a survivor again with the right perks will push 200k . But not seen a single killer as of yet wanting to farm. I have farmed a few as killer and it really helps with the grind.

As survivor I have not seen a single farming killer since the event started.

As killer, I have farmed a few times, so everyone gets points and the survivors get their crowns. As a survivor, I only have seen one killer farm and it was at end of the match. If you want to farm, do it, so everyone gets points.

As Killer, long as you don't force a survivor to farm, you "should" have no issues. Technically farming is a reportable issue, but most people that don't want to farm will DC or just rush gens and bolt. If you get angry because they won't cooperate and kill them, I would guess that is when they would be most likely to report you. Unless they are of the "Hall Monitor" personality and promptly report anything and everything they come across. Plenty of those types out there as well.

So just for the record: I only farmed with people if they we had more than 3 cakes in the trial and if they were down to that. So no one is frustrated or anything. Right now I got a Nemesis that wanted to farm even tho we didn't had 1 cake. I was not interested but all the other mates were. They farmed straight for 10 minutes in the most unefficient way. At the end he only wanted me and called me boring for not farming etc. I dc'd so he doesn't get his BBQ stack but man. Don't force people to that. It was so boring and I am already annoyed by DbD.
