Killers are not Here for Make Sure You have Fun
Killer players are playing their game. They will play like how they wanna. They will play with any perk they wanna. If they are not cheating or not doing anything againts game rules, you can not judge them.
Some killer tactics and perks can be annoying for survivors. And i am not saying this is fun for survivors. But killers are not workers of BHVR, they are playing for their own fun. Why survivors thinking killer has this mission?

Yep, and that doesn't mean it's not a crappy thing to do.
Survivors are not here to purposely go slow to help killers. You cannot judge them.

Yes, the killer is not your: (updated)
- Escort (trying to make your game longer)
- Clown (even if it's the Clown)
- Babysitter (forgiving your bad plays)
- Judge (being "nice" because someone DC or farmed you)
- Santa (he is not supposed to give you the hatch because your are the last survivor)
- Dog (he is not supposed to follow you the whole game)

Also; the Killer does not have to give 'final Survivor' the hatch.
I can't count the number of games I get badmouthed for a 4K because Survivors expect charity. Yet I NEVER see Survivors give me a kill if they are going to get a 4-man escape.
It's such a double standard. Survivors expect Killers to do everything they say under BS like 'Don't play like an ass' and 'Don't tryhard', but Survivors can bring 4 meta perks each, be in an SWF, and using voice comms to full effect, and Killers just have to 'deal with it'.

It's a survival game for the most part so some people are seeking for mercy.
If the killer perks are not fun, the match is a challenge more than anything. if we die because of this, i blame myself and my teammate for not doing what is needed to prevent it from happening. it's not healthy to make it such a big of a deal.
If a killer wants me free, so be it. if not, i have no complaints βΊοΈ

Neither are survivors yet if u scroll down the forum you'll see nerf this perk nerf that, nerf gen speed, nerf survivors, holding w is too op and non counterable etc etc this goes for both sides and i do agree with your statement just i would add for both sides same treatment not just killers

Yes, this all game design problems. I am not judging who use this tactics. But this all have to change and rework. Because most of matches are sweaty but BHVR never planned make game sweaty for anyone.

All I'm gonna say is that if you take this stance then you have absolutely zero right to complain about clicking, flashlights, genrushing, tbagging, etc. If one side shouldn't care for the other's fun, then the other shouldn't care back.
Which, you know, continues the cycle of toxicity and makes the game a worse experience for everyone but hey! Some people get kicks out of making other peoples' experiences as ######### as possible and who am I to judge?

Genrush is good tactic for survivors.
Flashlight, tbag and clicking are not toxic. I am doing this sometimes for taking killers attention.

Except that killers get away with all sorts of griefing and toxic gameplay that's choking the life from the game, and I'm using "toxic" here in the sense that it is poisoning the game and severely limiting it's playability.*
Also, as mentioned, the griefing. I've suddenly come across a lot of killers running Franklin's Demise, or facecamping a sparkling survivor out of the blue, or just plain-old bleeding people out.

But its a difference if you say tunneling needs to be nerfed or you say killer should stop tunneling. Both sides attack the other side but in reality they should blame the devs for allowing this things.

You're right.
When Survivors clicky-clicky-, or t-bag; I ignore them. Clearly, they are confident they can run me in a chase, and that's time I can't risk wasting.
Plus, 9 times out of 10, they will follow me around instead of doing gens. So I'm getting free pressure on gens!
People need to learn that something is not 'toxic' just because they THINK the player is doing it to be mean. This includes t-bagging, clicking flashlights, camping, or tunneling.
Sometimes it's the more effective tactic. And if we removed EVERYTHING that hurt someone's feelings; there would be no game to play.

I agree with the sentiment of this thread.
The game should be designed around an enjoyable gameplay loop. It's not the players fault that effective methods are also boring and toxic. It's the games and devs fault for being designed that way.
Are there ways to address these issues? Yes. The game would change a bit and would be rather different than it is now. I don't expect to ever see these kinds of changes, though.

What's wrong with Franklin's? Its the only perk that helps against items, and some survivors prioritize recovering their items so highly that they sabotage their team.
I've occasionally let people bleed out. I played against a SWF group that all took the less hook offerings, and ran perks specifically to further reduce hooks. A couple of those kids got to bleed out.

Everyone is free to play how they want to play restricting yourself to a playstyle that is imposed on you is foolish and only takes away time and enjoyment from you, whether you are a survivor or killer. A survivor shouldn't be afraid to SWF, a killer shouldn't be afraid to take the opportunities as they arrive even if it means screwing over a poor individual survivor
Whether you want to be chill or sweaty is up to you, for myself I prefer to be chill, enjoy the game, and screw over the folks that farm their teammates, sandbag, and are just unpleasant. That's just me

The problem is that I never see it until an event rolls around. Events with event-exclusive items. Then it's suddenly on every other killer.
This sort of behaviour was actually why it was changed recently, but it hasn't stopped people from trying. It's honestly sad.

Meh, this argument stinks to heaven and beyond. And so is your philosophy of experience.
We are not only responsible for ourself but also have to take care for our surrounding a little bit. Gaming is a society so we should try to bring both things under a hat. My fun and the fun for everyone else. That does not mean that i have to bow for the other side, but at least question if it is really that neccessary to ruin someones game by camping him to death or tbag after every loop.
Make this game a better experience by at least TRYING to have a good time.

You really did not get what he meant. Effective tactics are dirty because game designed like this. Play without tunnel or genrush and enjoy with your lose. Game forces to people playing like this. Yes we can blame devs for this design.

I play without tunnel and camping when i play killer and im still "winning". I guess everyone in this game has a different definition of "winning" and "losing".
The game does not force anyone to be an efficient sweatlord, its the people who choose to be like that. There is a reason high level play (comp) is absolutely laughable in this game because it was never designed for that.

Yep. Anything less than the best is a loss. Everyone should play that way - the fun comes when playing well is something you've practiced so much it's effortless. But then again, I guess most don't think that way. A generation of people accustomed to getting stuff just for showing up tends to devalue achievement and effort, after all.

The problem with killer is that you need to go all out at the start to be able to win.
Unfortunately by the time you realise the survivors are not particularly strong and you want to ease of, the game is already over by then.
If you go easy on them at the start, than the game can be over really fast against you.
Unfortunately there are always people who are looking for an excuse to blame you for their mistakes.

I will start by saying this. This game is to random to think you will win almost every game. Sometimes you get against great players. Sometimes you go against potatoes.
There is no rule book. Play the way you want. Killer or survivor. Want to camp, tunnel, tbag, click etc.. do it. We need to remember at the end of the day it's just a game.
I find I have the most fun when I just don't care win or lose. Look at it as like playing a scratch off ticket π. You go into the store, you buy it and scratch it off. Your having fun while scratching it. If you don't win its like well I did not win oh well. You get 5 bucks and are like cool I won 5.
I know we all want to win the game, but honestly, is it that big of a deal if you don't? Just either say gg and move on or just move on.
Remember folks. Win and lose with dignity.

Camping and tunneling are both extremely toxic. If survivors are swarming the hook camping can be excused but tunneling? ######### no. Its a pathetic strategy by ######### killers. I play both sides, both at red ranks. I never tunnel or camp and consistently get at least 2-3 kills.
Survivors being toxic is annoying but not game ruining like killers doing the same thing.
Regardless play how you want, just dont expect the toxicity in this game to go away

And I as a survivor am not here to give you a pleasant game or a free win. I will abuse loops, throw on perks to annoy you, hold M1 and rush the gens, hell I might even make it harder for you and squad up with a SWF with micβs. Goes both ways boo. π

One difference; using a mic is 'using a third party program to gain an advantage' IE: the description of cheating in almost every online game out there.
The rest; I agree with. Try your hardest. Group with friends. Use META perks. Slam those pallets, use those loops, use blockers on ranged Killers. Rush those gens. Your goal is to escape. Mine is to kill you. Anything that's not cheating or exploits is fair game.
In short; Try your best, within the confines of the game (and without using cheats or exploits) to win.
