Nurse is a 'braindead' Killer

TLDR: Haven't played Nurse in a couple years and even before that, I hardly ever played her. Took her for a spin on my first match and barely won against a team who had all gens completed (Killed 2 before the gates were powered and 2 after without having to camp or tunnel). End game chat shows a dude being mad I ran specific Hex Perks even though they both were taken out almost immediately at the start of the game. Calls Nurse a brain dead killer.

They are definitely OP but brain dead is definitely a stretch

He called her brain dead because she was Strong and when I told him it's the hardest Killer to master along with being the most bugged, he said it wasn't. That's the only screenshot I didn't bother getting since it cut out right after.

Nurse, a "braindead" killer? That is a first.

The amount of 99% blinks,1 blink only bug, dead zones, and more bugs introduced with each new map, graphical update, and patch says otherwise.

Anyone who says Nurse is overpowered or “brain dead” hasn’t really played her or is just going with the trend.

Good job putting those people in their place though, I would say keep playing her.

They had me on Ormond and not only did I keep missing my blink attacks, my Nurse wouldn't phase through rocks half the time because I either wasn't putting enough charge into it or something. It was a struggle.

Nurse is definitely ridiculously strong, to the point of maybe requiring a rework? Calling her braindead is a stretch though, lol.

Oh thank the lord I don’t have to defend the Spirit for a 3rd time in one week;p

My home-girl Sally though.. y’all know she definitely requires skill and I love facing above average to S-tier nurses to see what’s up and how long I can manage to last. I’d say god-tier but a true g-tier is rare.

The saddest thing about the Nurse rework in my opinion was the recharge mechanic. I understand why it was done but it just made her kit feel less.. elegant. I wish they could have figured out an alternative method to reach the desired effect.

I hesitate to call her OP even though a good nurse is an instant loss for 99/100 teams. But they're probably the only killer that takes more mechanical skill than just pointing in all of DBD.

I don't like the killer because of how she straight up overrides mechanics but I can respect a good nurse.

Nurse is arguably not the hardest killer to master.

She's the hardest to get good with, but arguably not to master. Blight is, in theory, harder to master, because he is forced to interact with everything on the map to get results. Furthermore, Blight players need to create a massive mental list of things they slide or bounce off of, and recall that at split second intervals when determining their pathing. Nurse is probably second behind him. Also, this is all debatable, but Blight has a good case insofar as mastery is concerned.

All that said, Nurse is certainly not braindead and is ONE of the hardest killers to learn, much less git gud at, much less master.

Edit: Also, that's not even a very good Nurse build. If you were running Infectious Fright, they could at least complain about you riding the scream notices to easy hits. Nurse doesn't need slowdown, so a Nurse using slowdown is clearly a Nurse that hasn't learned Nurse that well yet. The fact they lost is entirely on them, not you.

I love it when they attack the single set of meta perks, dispite the fact you have to deal with x4 meta perks.

Nah I think it’s probably Blight, then Huntress, then Nurse, then...Billy maybe? Pyramid is up there too.

Huntress has easy hitboxes but in theory a god aimbot huntress is doing skybox shots 24/7 right?

To be fair, she is pretty easy in terms of tactics. Just point and shoot to just behind the survivor and there's nothing they can do. Her skill cap is almost purely mechanical, and she's so strong you don't really have to pay attention to how the game is playing out.

These are all debatable and likely situational. Which is fine, it shows a good variety of characters with learning curves for players that want a challenge with good payoff.

The only two things in this game I consider taking no skill. Is placing a snare or the Spirit standstill mindgame.

I mean, I have already heard that Spirit is braindead. Nothing surprises me anymore.
