Spirit is totally fine and loopable like every other killers. Doesnt need a nerf or anything. The only thing i would do is fix the sounds and add walking sounds when the spirit walks. For everything is else is fine.

Add-on rework. And indication when phasing will do. And importantly she'd still be strong.

She seems fine to me, haven't encountered any problems facing her. Either I'm better and escape or the killer ("player") bests me.

Nullify M1 chases with her power rather than add to it eg huntress: She's ######### 110%. what do you want her to be? 70% movement speed so you can win 100% of the time as survivor? sad..
Has passive phasing to get occasional free hits on short loops: It's basekit. you can still just... Hold W..
Is based around AUDIO in DBD a game with a terrible audio system making footsteps above you not sound "above" Audio has been shite, been like this for 3 years,
Has some of the strongest addons that are not easy to identify: You can.. Easily tell if she has the ultra rare or not.. by how fast she got there when she phased
So don't lie... in general she's fine, and Balanced,

She's balanced against SWF, but she oppressive af against Solo Q
And at the end of the day, she's boring af to verse.
You can still have a fun and strong oppressive killer, Oni, Blight and old Billy were perfect examples of this.
So unless they bring Solo Q in line with SWF. Im all for giving Spirit counterplay

For now I'd just like to see some of her add-ons nerfed, specifically the iridescent ones. They're pretty broken.

The only thing she needs is a little sound que when she starts phasing and you are in her TR.
That is all she needs.

You don't get spirit after spirit after spirit and so on.
So whenever you do face a spirit just try a little harder and then move on to the next match.
It's not that difficult.

Also, as a killer main, Spirit needs a nerf. You can go on and on about how the game "caters" to survivors, but at the end of the day unless you're facing some 4x PT DH BNP gen rush squad, she's just not balanced. I literally play her when I'm in a ######### mood and need motivation to play well on another killer lol. Still trying to find that counter though.

Go play blight then, more fun and actually has a good power, behind spirit aswel.. Also the clown rework didn't need to happen. all he needed was ether 5% basekit and he was good.
I don't even use more than one on her. but i rarely touch her cause i get bored with her rather quickly,

Just a minor notification she's phasing it takes no effort and it wouldn't butcher her because take these scenarios
Spirit and survivor both racing each other to the pallet Spirit begins to phase survivor is notified somehow survivor still has to guess to double back or head to the pallet. Spirit still strong
You drop the pallet Spirit phase survivor knows and still needs to guess where she'll phase to. Spirit still strong. And this allows for the possibility of the Spirit to use this in her advantage.

You're being hysterical for no reason, never did I ever say anywhere that I want spirit's base power nerfed or anything of the sort that you said smh.
Nor am I lying in any way, spirit's iridscenent add-ons enable a very lazy playstyle where you can catch survivors before they have a chance to get anywhere.
To me it seems like more of a problem these days than back then because of the increased amount of deadzones and lackluster 1 centimeter pallets, the new RPD map is a good example. Behaviour has been making it much easier for killer with the map design.
Saying "get skill" means nothing, what skill?, the skill to outrun a stridor spirit with the ring iridescent add-on?.
Ultimately I don't see how it would affect spirit players much, the gameplay and the mind games are the same except now a survivor would have more time to get to a pallet and be allowed to just maybe play the game lol. Or do you think survivors should not be allowed to play the game and not be allowed to loop because it's toxic or something lmao?.

There is a fair amount of praise and love of her in those dev messages in the load screens. I think she might be a golden child on their end. It could also explain why her original 100% stealth add on took so long to get toned down. Seriously that thing gave free grabs on gens and was more busted than IH.

There's just no way to nerf or make Spirit fair without defeating the purpose of her kit or making her unfun to play as.
Survivors want information on everything killers do which is why they want a indicator for when she phases but that defeats the purpose of her kit.
Get rid of fake phasing! That also defeats the purpose of her kit.
Make her not hear during phasing! That will make her unfun to play as since she can't see survivors.
THERE'S NO WAY TO NERF SPIRIT WITHOUT GUTTING OR MAKING HER UNFUN TO PLAY AS!!!

Some Spirit ideas I disagree with the you hear her footsteps no. The you see her periodically out of phase I need to see on a PTB. But, I still don't see how knowing she's phasing will suddenly make her an F tier killer. When she still has so much going for her.

Think about it. Let's take everyone's favorite killer for example. Like Billy.
Billy was fine. only needed addon changes. But then people complain bout him in general so the nerf response was this,
Billy's chainsaw now overheats after getting a down. Billy can only travel halfway across the map before you overheat.
His iridescent addons no longer gives him the ability to be stealthy, instead just make overheat "a slight bit bearable"
Oh and now billy get's an extra penalty if he misses or hits a wall. post recovery 4 seconds,
See how that would Hurt billy? Nobody would play him again,
So by nerfin' spirit. you'd ALSO nerf the passive phase that she has along with the stand-still.
Meaning that this WHOLE argument about spirit is just terrible, and needs to be dropped..

But, if Spirit is so unique why is she being compared to many other killers? And I've yet to see a good reason to not give her a notification she's phasing. Because you won't know where she's phasing to. So she wouldn't be butchered and people would still play her since the core mechanic of a guessing game would remain. As well, Stridor, add-ons making her a mobilitiy killer and boosting her power to stronger levels, and still have a strong 1v1, because you won't know where she's phasing to. So please give a scenario where a notification she's phasing suddenly makes her an F tier killer.

For example: add the sound bug back she had a while back, where you could hear her Husk's sounds, but at her actual location. I LOVED it. It is really scary to hear a killer you can't see coming.
Maybe, in return, give her a little more base movement speed while phasing, while also nerfing speed add-ons?

And that's why we're here discussing it since behavior can't. Spirit should have a notification because the standstill mindgame has lots of reward for little effort or risk on an otherwise skillful killer. And just running will not damage her that much since she can phase up to them in no time where they then begin the guessing game. And if you suddenly get there and try and fake a standstill and the run it doesn't matter it only takes 15 seconds to recharge and since Spirit has great add-ons to reduce this further so an indication she's phasing still won't hurt her to oblivion. There shouldn't be any killer action that has so much reward for little effort. Not asking to know where she is every step simply if she's phasing.

Overall she is fine except for this one play that has the potential for great reward for no effort and little risk. Since holding W isn't strong against her. So why should this remain when it won't make her a garbage killer? An effortless unskillful move.

- Are you going to vault pallet?
- Are you going to crouch away to reduce moaning?
- Are you going to walk away to hide scratch mark?
- Are you going to run away for distance?
- Are you going to stand there and accept your hook?

I agree, It's a cheap trick. Even if they make it so you can easily tell when she is phasing it wouldn't completely remove this.
A spirit could still actually start phasing and just stand still, but it would be better because if you predict it she has to wait for her power to recharge.

Ok thats right, iridescent addons are broken (the ring) and should be nerfed. For everything else is fine, spirit is broken only on paper, i escaped from good spirits many many times, the power is uncounterable only in surv situations LIKE EVERY OTHER KILLER. The only thing i would do is fixing the sounds and MAYBE make a noise when she start to use the power so you can know if shes phasing or not. But as i said, the power concept is totally fine.
