Which killers do you hate playing against?

There is only two killers I absolutely hate playing against and that is Leatherface and the Hillbilly. Why? Because everytime I play against them all they do is spam their one hit down chainsaws the entire match, which makes for a stale and boring game.

So what I want to know is what is everyone elses?

Slinger, Wraith, a 99'ing Ghostface, and an unstoppable Nurse. Out of these, Wraith's the only one I immediately DC for. IMO they're too oppressive for solo queue.

Billy. I always seem to lose him, and he somehow always accidentally runs right into me. Lady Luck just seems to smile upon him.

In all seriousness, it's got to be GF, Hag and Leatherface.

    ONI.

He’s well designed, not op and has counterplay BUT I can never beat him. Ever. I don’t know why, but he’s like my goddam kryptonite!

    Freddy. He's just boring.

He's supposed to make my character go to sleep, not me.

Clown is another one I don't like facing. I always either get ones that carpet bomb me with purple stank or have an Iri Finger. Also, a Clown player committed the msot egregious tunneling against me I've ever encountered, and I'm still scarred by it.

Most killers who have a very strong 1v1 with little to no counterplay in chase on the majority of maps and otherwise killers that are very oppressive that have very little counterplay unless you brought the right perks or items, like Deathslinger, Spirit, Nurse, Hag, Wraith(depending on his addons), Bubba and Blight.

The biggest reason is because the only real counterplay you can do against these killers, is hold w and drop pallets ASAP. You cant start looping because you get easily hit. Nemesis technically fits this group too, but Nemesis' power is only a guaranteed hit at pallets.

Heck, people love putting Doctor in here too, but you can still loop Doc around most pallets. Everytime he shocks, he loses distance unless he shocks near perfectly, and if he starts gaining distance you can still chain loops. The other killers do not lose much distance through looping. Let alone that 2 of them also counter holding W, making them absolutely disgusting to play against with practically 0 counterplay other than literally flipping a coin.

And yeah, the downside about "holding W" killers is that they do not have much genpressure, but who the ######### wants both on a single killer? If a killer is good at chase AND at genpressure by default, killers would even get higher 3k rates in public lobbies than they already have. The downside is that maps are designed to make holding W a possible strat regardless of what killer you're facing, ultimately kicking killers who are loopable even further down, as not only can you loop the killer, you can chain loops against those killers.

It's time BHVR started adding tiles based on what killer is being played. That way, weaker killers dont need a buff and strong killers dont need a nerf in their powers. You can design the environment around them. You can add all the breakable walls on all the maps against a Spirit or a Nurse, yet have only half the breakable walls when it's a Myers or a Trapper. You can add more strong pallets against a Deathslinger but generators having less spread, while giving Pig less strong pallets to deal with.

Start giving killers mapseeds that fit their power. Wouldnt even need that much of an adjustment to map balancing as most tiles are RNG anyway.

As much as I love playing as him, I dislike playing against Wraith. Mobility killers are rough and his lunge is difficult to evade - he turns a lot of structures into deathtraps if he knows what he's doing.

Spirit because I never have any idea how to play against her power.

    Lol.

I was going to say the exact same thing, structured the exact same way.

    I despise her.

Notable mention to some spirits depending on how they play.

Hag is just so damn miserable to play against, there's nothing fun about playing against her.

Also I'm surprised no one mentioned Twins.

Most of the cast can be frustrating.

Spirit - Usually super sweaty and toxic players using this easy 4K machine against solo and casual SWFs. You don't really feel like you have any choice in how you go down, she is in full control.

Wraith - His super lunge and super speed has made him very oppressive for solo and casual SWFs. I never thought he was as bad (still not strong, but not awful) as people claimed, so I feared his buffs would make him a major pain... he is. Most Freddy players using their easy mode machine seemed to have jumped onto the Wraith bandwagon.

Hag - I use to main her back in the old teleport stun days. Now she has eaten YEARS of buffs without really any nerfs to her. She is insanely strong and has huge snowball potential. Sadly I cannot stand playing her. Most Hags still use overpowered add-ons, perks, and strategies combined on her for easy games. Whenever I see a Hag placing her traps around a hook, I know it's time to bail on the match cause it's basically over.

Plague - Annoying sounds and noises. I don't enjoy hearing my character barf and cough over and over and over. I feel her lore, her model, and her theme are brilliant. Sadly I think her game play is pretty obnoxious on the Survivor side and pretty meh on her end.

Nurse - Bad Nurses and Good Nurses are boring to face. Either they don't even land a blink or they have everyone slugged at 4-5 gens. She is only fun to face when the Nurse is mediocre.

Blight - Basically a not as hard and not as overwhelming Nurse. Bad and good ones aren't enjoyable just the same. Tinkerer and Blight is really annoying. I dislike him overall, including his lackluster design. I actually hate playing him, might be my least favorite Killer to play actually.

Freddy - Thankfully that tiny nerf sent his legion of players elsewhere. His kit is overloaded. Some of the most toxic players in the last year were also Freddys from my experiences. I'm talking about the type to leave people to bleed out till the very last second then hook them. I mean it isn't that shocking the pedophile character attracts some odd ones.

Bubba - The King of Toxicity. Part of his issue is latency where he lands his OHKO on you when it looks like total and utter BS on your end. Then he face camps you. My hatred for him has decreased some, but I still usually expect a horrible match when I see him.

Susie - Now Legion isn't exactly my favorite to face and is probably on of the main flop designed killers to be released. But they are rare enough at this point that I don't actively hate them a lot, and I have actually faced some really cool Frank players over the years. Unfortunately, the same can not be said for Susie players. I think some of the most personal BM and flaming I have received has been from Susie players. I do not like her. (and find her over rated)

Doctor - Similar to Plague where I love the package that is Doctor, but his gameplay is pretty annoying... especially if you are unfortunate to face him on a small map or he's the player to set up a 3 gen from the start to drag the game on... and on... and on. He's fun to play though.

Pig - A killer designed to spread pressure on a caught Survivor with the bear trap to focus on other killers... to typically be played as a hardcore tunneler most of the time. And if she is failing, she can just pretend to be one of those "boop the snoot" Pigs that kills you anyways. Not sure why so many praise the booping when it's usually just used to get a free hit or down by the majority. I don't really find anything about her interesting and actually loss more interest in her once I looked into the actual character... who is pretty underwhelming.

I...feel sorry for you. This leaves very little room for enjoyment.

  • VexTheHex
    VexTheHex Member Posts: 1,009

I'm not sure this game is really meant to be enjoyed. It's more of a addiction. When you actually sit and look at the gameplay of both sides and the mechanics... it's a lot of frustrations, bugs, and repetition. Everyone is living for the moment they down that toxic teabagger or save an ally from a close call... but it's mostly just toxic and boring stuff going on.

Which to be fair, my dislike for many of the ones I placed up there is based on player choice to abuse or use mechanics for easy wins or to "punish" or "block" someone in the match from playing. Both sides have a lot of ways to force boring or tedious game play onto the other.

I don't agree, to be honest. I may have problems with the current state of the game, but I had a lot of fun back in 2018-2019. Toxicity is just a minor inconvenience, in my honest opinion.

Perhaps you should look at those killers for what they are, not for the people who play them. I think it would help.

the tunneling, camping type, I don't care about your feelings about whether its a balance issue or not but I think we can all agree its just not fun to go against. Also plague and any trap killer to answer the question more directly

Nemesis, Trickster, Twins, PHead, Deathslinger, GF, Plague, Legion, Spirit, Clown, Pig, Freddy, Bubba, Huntress, Doctor, Hag, Myers, Nurse, Wraith, and Trapper.

Yeah survivor is a pretty miserable experience for me.

Spirit, just a mindless overpowered killer that allows you to destroy anypossible mindgame with a fiew addons/perks or a good headset, and thats why i dont play her

Freddy....just freddy, even after the "nerf" im still bored as hell while facing him

Hillbilly, im one of the people that think he deserved his nerf and all as he wasnt funny to face and they could camp or proxy camp up to 2 hooked survivors (he also was my Nemesis at some point when i started the game lol)

And the Hag players that just places 50 traps near the hooked survivors and still decides to proxy them (other wise i dont mind hag too much)

I could also say Bubba, but its cause i dont know his counterplay yet, especially when they bring bamboozle

Wow, I’ve never heard or seen someone DC for Wraith. I don’t advise you do that, otherwise you won’t learn how to deal with him. I don’t like facing him either, even before the buff.

He is. He used to be at the top of my list, but since he is no longer popular- I can tolerate my few encounters with him. Although, I have seen a small uptick in GF players since the event started.

My list consists of (in order) Wraith, Freddy (nerf did nothing IMO), Legion, Doctor, Ghostface, & Plague. Honorable mention? Trapper. He’s my main when I play killer, but I don’t like going against him. Gotta watch them toes! That anxiety carries over to my very next match (with a different killer) for the first two minutes, lol.

Freddy bores me to death. With all his slow down add ons & having to run the entire other side of a map to wake myself up. Then just being able to teleport without having to set anything up first. No thanks. Boring AF and doesn’t take any skill to play him.

Twins. Everybody complains about Huntress hitboxes but Viktor's hitbox literally has the size of a fridge. It's impossible to dodge a pounce. Crouching after dropping a pallet doesn't work because he'll hit you even tough there is a 0.5 metre gap between you and Viktor, but it doesn't matter it still hits you.

  • Gwinty
    Gwinty Member Posts: 981

Huntress. I always get a camping Huntress or a Iri-Huntress. Her hitboxes are strange as hell for me. I hate going against her for this reason alone.

No Huntress is not OP, no Huntress should not be nerfed. I just hate to go against her.
