Fire Up or Brutal Strength?
Which one is better? I think fire up is good at higher ranks. If I can win before last generator than I know I am looking at a decent 16% bonus to everything. But the consistent 20% is nice too throughout the match.

Fire up, it's the best perk in the game. ?gg nerf fire up
(okay being serious brutal but both aren't that great)

I love fire up, even tho it does not have as much of an impact as other perks but doing everything faster is always nice.

I think Brutal Strength is better, it's consistent and never goes away, Fire Up is too situational.
Fire Up does nothing at the start of the game, and then at the end when it's at full power, you're probably loosing and it woldn't help you anyway, because the numbers on it are just not that great. (I still like the Perk tho, wish the numbers were a little bit higher)

Both

Brutal is overall more useful, Fire Up just rewards you for not doing your objectively as optimally as possible, which is fine, but it seems like a poor design choice personally for very little value.
3 -
Brutal is the better choice, if youre going to run fire up run it with brutal and bamboozle :)
Honestly fire up shoukd be buffed a bit

Now I kinda wanna try my Wraith + Shadow Dance add on + Brutal Strength + Fire Up. Just for the memes, of course.

I did that. Would have worked great if i wasnt in reds where theyd wait for me to uncloak to drop it. Red rank survivors are clever 😭
1 -
Wraith is just not a killer that can pressure in a chase in general, smart survivors will always take advantage of that lmao!

I love both these perks. Fire up is killer based to me and guessing you are trickster brutal. Fire up is a comeback perk (supposed to be) and helps make your actions faster when you need them the most. Saying that I prefer fire up on slower killers and by slower I am referring to slow starters (Mike and trapper mostly). Brutal is 20% regardless and has some synergy with perks. Brutal + enduring is one of my favorite combos and needing some extra spice in your games? Run brutal and fire up it's very fun especially with wraith. I love (really love) fire up on Mike it makes him pretty stupid in chase (the vault speed is hilarious).

Are you saying use both?

Actually my main is Freddy ATM.

I always have Brutal on my Fred. Pop, BBQ, brutal, any tracking perk you want Disco, Tinkerer, Nurses, and he does great with Gearhead......no joke.
0 -
YOu add bamboozle on that?
0 -
Interesting. Right now I am using Brutal Strength, Pop, Tinkerer, and STBFL

Trickster was going to be my main but I realized he is so Underpowered.

Thought about it as his snares aren't as reliable as they used to be since you have less, alarm clock buff, and I don't play too many bots. Have not done it yet though. Just finally got devour on him (had Undying forever) so might toy with that for awhile.

I have achieved Rank 1 with him with the build I have. Well I fluctuate between 1 and 2. but ya. I actually run dream pallets. I love STBFL on him. Honestly him at 8 stacks is super fast and saves a ton of time in the end. I am very late game with him. Usually 4k at 1 gen standing. Or I completely demolish the team lol. Or I get rekt... Still having trouble with good loopers who are aware of pallets.

That build is fine (OP) but fine. I like to run different things on power killers and fred is very versatile so lots of perks can be ran on him and you still dominate. Stbl is honestly my fav perk in the game. I am always praying for BBQ first but STBL is next one I pray for. Just got it on my P3 Ghosty last night. I run Stbl on almost every killer (that gets it) except Nurse, Huntress, Mike, Billy, Twins, Trickster, nemesis, and bubba although there are a couple maps with Bubba I wish I had it.

I play with the whole roster at rank 1. Whoever has BBQ at the time gets played. Obviously I have my favorites and some I have to pull miracles with here and there. I am confident with most of the roster except Trick, Spirit, and Billy and yes I understand how weird that 2 of those are. Billy and Trick have yet to get BBQ (ever) so not a lot of playing time on them but Spirit just got BBQ finally so will be messing with her soon as I have always liked that character and lore.

I am just around 260 hours or something like that. And I still have sooo many perks to unlock. I am still pretty new to the game in all honesty. The BP grind is real man.

Wait it's an OP builds?

Use both with bamboozle on myers infinite tier 3
sometimes you'll always have an amazing match
1 -
Just my opinion but does not matter. Use what you need to win/have fun. I get hate mail with Pop/BBQ with gearhead/brutal so could not imagine adding more power to the build but ngl I'm just waiting for STBL to show up...........
1 -
To further clarify the OP build comment I made was just because it's fred. There are OP/over kill builds on other great killers like him (nurse, spirit, etc) but at the end of the day you bought the game and character. Run whatever you want.

Fire Up is more of a meme if anything. However it can def be fun with Brutal and/or Bamboozle combined w/ Legion or tier 3 Myers.

Brutal. Fire up is for the memes

Brutal is better. But using Fire Up instantly makes you a chad.

Fire up is totally trash
0 -
what killer/build do you use it on? I just wish they'd go ahead and increase the numbers on this perk lol it's an easy buff.
@chargernick85 ignore this @ I tried to quote u and now I can't seem to remove that @ hahaha

Fire Up is more subtle until late game, but allows you to do things you otherwise wouldn’t.
For example. Didn’t spit that flashlight user before doing a pick up around mid game? Because your pick up animation is faster, you can get out of animation lock faster to look away and avoid the blind.

I agree with this. The combo is a lot of fun.

...on Wraith for maximum absurdity

In general you want brutal. Fired up does less early, which is bad because that is when pallets are going to matter the most. But the speed boost fired up gives to breaking isn't that impactful as brutal already makes the break animation fast enough to cheese hits.
Fired up is a sort of questionable 'final boss' perk (though with the changes to No Way Out it might actually work a lot better), and its more there for vault animation speedup, because even with Bamboozle it can be hard to get a hit on a killer vault, so the extra speed there matters more. Good on killers where cheesing a hit on a vault is a huge deal and who are extremely threatening late game, and don't need native stall.
I would not dedicate two perks to pallet breaking, even on killers weak to pallets. Most maps do not have enough strong pallets to warrant this and its far smarter to run spirit fury-enduring in this case.

Oh mind sharing some of those builds? Like fired up Mikey?

You can just add it to your build as a fourth perk. Mike's best perk is corrupt as it gives you time at the beginning to stalk more without losing a bunch of gens. My build is corrupt, Infectious, BBQ, Fire up. Corrupt and Infectious are the only 2 I won't swap as both are beautiful on him. Tier 3 Mike has bigger terror radius and has add-ons to make it larger/smaller. Monitor, Bamboozle, Brutal, Enduring, Eruption, spirit fury, pop, Oppression, Sloppy, Surge, Surveillance, Trilling, tinkerer, whispers are all great on him and if you don't have corrupt, Play with your food is a fun option to fly around stalking everyone.
