Wouldn't your first impression be that "oh they're adding a killer who can disguise as a survivor, that's cool!"

Even the chapter name "Darkness Among Us" hints at the killer being capable of hiding among the survivors.

Did the developers ever comment about how misleading the video is vs. what the killer's power actually does?

    I never wanted a disguise killer.

    He is the "Scream" knockoff a few people wanted.

    That said, I will probably play him...but after he is released for a few months.

    They hope that people will buy the DLC based upon the assumption that he's a stealthy mimic killer.

    Yes, the trailer is completely off the real version of the killer and I think they already worked on Ghostface and did not get the Licence, but wanted to keep the work they already put into it.

    It's weird to see someone say this after i've seen so many people into this idea and it being a very common concept for people to suggest.

    It'd essentially boil down to another Wraith but instead of Cloaking you look like a Survivor.

    It wouldn't work, a disguised killer.

    You would either turn into a survivor not involved in the match.
    Or a survivor that is and people would notice the fake when they run into the fake.

    And something pretty important. If the killer stays disguised, people will get suspicious they haven't seen the killer, realize the killer is disguised, and they will be paranoid about everyone.
