Which characters don't fit their player stereotype?
I've always thought Nea does not fit her player stereotype as her adept build and backstory seems to imply she's a stealth based character but she's usually played by people who want all the killers attention on them. The real Nea seems like she does have a sense of justice given she was trying to expose a corrupt person. But I'm not sure that sense of justice would manifest in the wreckless taunting the people who main her in game do.
Dwight is described as finding an inner strength and purpose in the trials, he knows how to coordinate and get people to work together. Canonically he's been here longer than almost anyone other than the other three. But ironically his player stereotype is that of the noob player.
Yun rescues people as a player...I'm not certain she'd do that in canon...at least not at first. There's objective benefit to rescuing other survivors in certain circumstances. But I feel like she'd have to go through many trials to realise that.
What do you guys think? Is there anyone else whose player base does not match their canon personality?

It is hard to say, actually. Very few characters actually earned their player stereotypes.
But I would say that most Claudette Players are not exactly shy botanists.
Edit: I just realized that I am not the best person to say this because Claudette was my main for over 2 years... Well, it is too late now :)

Theres no such a thing as character/player stereotype no matter how hard the community tries, people will play how they like with characters they like

The objective truth has never and will never get in the way of a good stereotype, that's literally how stereotypes work. You silly silly person, who does not know what words mean. :P

If your referring to perks and backstory inconsistencies only one comes in mind as he is supposed to be a loner according to the bio but most of his perks revolve around sticking around others

Who comes to mind? I don't see a name?

Dwight is supposed to be that scared uwu boi but he's always the one teabagging and clicking flashlights.
Neas and Davids are supposed to be those tough guys but they're the ones who sneak behind things thinking you haven't spotted them yet.

Who?

Really? Nea's backstory says she's a stealth based character who only fights injustice indirectly through street art rather than physically. She's not a badass not in the traditional sense anyway. I think your confusing the players with the character. XD

Lore: Bill is a bad, uh, butt American Veteran Soldier who kills zombies as easy as cracking eggs! Bill is a brave American who would sacrifice himself to save his friends and is again very cool!
In Game: Because Bill looks cool and has great perks and is free, new player typically gravitate towards him. Because of this most Bills are too scared to touch gens, have no idea what they're doing, and with Left Behind they will let their teammates die for hatch.
That's really the only one I can think of.

I am guessing he means my beloved Dweet.

Jeff Was exaggerating with the perks bit but one of his perks does conflict with his backstory which is aftercare which iirc let's you see the aura of fellow survivors that heal you or that you healed

I always thought of her as that kind of bad girl who hangs around bad boys and tags places and runs away from police and #########. Just based on that city skater girl appearance and perk descriptions, like she would totally punch people in the face.

I mean you can think that but the lore says she's a parkour street artist/activist/urban explorer. The only physical skill she's confirmed to have is skateboarding and urban navigation. Nothing about hand to hand combat.

Maybe it's supposed to be related to his travelling? I know a lot of places where a buddy system or basic first aid would be required learning.

Hmm that honestly makes a bit more sense now

Jeff's act like literal gods any jeff I get is super helpful and is a aultrism god thought you meant fit into stereotype

Honestly we need more of the helpful Jeff's to go along with the bills

Nea: due to reasons people stated above.
Claudette: due to the fact that her perks imply she is a helpful character and the stereotype is self-caring in bushes.
Clown: due to his attitude in his lore vs the stereotype of clown mains being more relaxed and laid back.
Demo: savage creature vs. players who typically play very intelligently.
Nurse: due to fact she is implied to be somewhat insane by her original lore and most people who main her play extremely well and tactically.
Finally Blight: a deranged killer that attacks by running into stuff vs. players who are known for expertly using angles on loops and using advanced tactics like flicks (though u could argue that aggressively flicking your mouse to force a turn is very similar to how Blight's power works).

I think you mean “archetype” and not stereotype.
As for me, as a die-hard Tapp main, I live by the phrase “If it glows, it goes”.

No archetype fits as a description for real people even less.

Pig is supposed to be a remorseless killer, who believes that no one is worth saving. She also rigs her games in order to kill people, because of this, meaning her victims have no chance of escape.
In reality, she is funny boop snoot lady whose traps can be and are often removed on the first two boxes, and rarely gets more than two kills at most against good players. Although I suppose the rigging-games section does have merit, as some lower-ranked Pigs do tend to tunnel the guy with an active trap and camp Jigsaw Boxes.

Pyramid Head: A merciless killer who seeks out the sinned to punish them.
Meanwhile in dbd: nerfed booty and overall a cutie.

Bill is old.
Bill players act senile.
Checks out.

To be fair the Entity isn't Jigsaw if it wants Anna to play fair all it has to do is torture her.

The only answer is the Trickster. He does no tricks.

Knife throwing counts as a Trick...though he's got pretty bad aim for a professional knife thrower to be honest...least when I play him.

Claudette. In her lore and perks, she's described as introverted, empathetic, and very intelligent. But usually people who play her either have the game knowledge of a brick or are the most toxic selfish people in the game.
