Anyone else surprised by the year 5 stats?

I was surprised that borrowed time is not the most picked perk, but what left me even more confused is the fact that number 1 goes to self-care. I know these stats are for all ranks but still...
Were you also surprised by some of the stats?

I'm only surprised that Wraith is the "most played killer" when i barely see anyone uses him, same for Doctor, Huntress seems fair since i see her alot.
4 -
I think this is due to it being around all ranks, not just red ranks.
If not then I'm as confused as you are.
3 -
Not really. The period considered is so wide with so many changes occuring that the results were likely to be counterintuitive.
3 -
I can't wait until someone uses these stats (again) for more justifications to balance.
"OMG BBQ is most used perk, nerf it !!!" and so on.
4 -
The fact that the total number of escapes is exactly 1,500,000,000 is extremely satisfying.
6 -
Yeah, thats why the whole stats thing seems fishy.
11 -
As a red tank solo survivor I see a lot of Self Care, never run it myself. But in solos this perk is used a lot. Same goes with rank 8+, so I can easily see that this is the most used perk - especially when the most used survivor is Claudette.
I also see A LOT of Wraith, they did buff him during this year so it is not weird he is used a lot now.
1 -
Except if they were faking stats why put a specific round number, they could have literally added or taken away some, it's more likely that the stats were taken exactly when survivors hit 1.5B escapes.
"Hey look guys, we made up all these stats but left escapes at exactly 1,500,000,000" like, cmon lmao, y'all could leave your tinfoil hats at home for a little minute.
And I'm betting the ONLY reason people are saying this seems 'fishy' is because kills are higher than escapes, were it the other way around they'd probably say nothing.

Selfcare and noed in top 3 most used? What the hell
0 -
This stats between 2017 and 2021. Noed and Selfcare was meta for years, remember. And also both perks are still popular on all ranks.
1 -
I love that the kills/escapes are for OG characters only
Edit: the ones on the right, that is
0 -
This is not lol. There is 2 stats. Total escapes/deaths and OG characters escapes/deaths

This is bhvr we're talking about. The same company that released the internal build accidentally. Those who put cosmetics in paid sets that are copy pasted from default items. Those who make patch notes for hotfixes where the issues purportedly fixed are still exactly broken as before. The list goes on.
I don't care if the stats are real or fake. But it's disingenous to think that if they had fabricated data they wouldn't have been able to ######### up as usual and maybe forget to adjust a placeholder figure.
3 -
You jumped the gun a bit there.
2 -
And how would this benefit them? What purpose would it serve to release fake stats, instead of the more obvious (and logical) explanation that they were waiting for 1.5 billion escapes before releasing the data?
1 -
The 1 500 000 000 is fishy but 350 000 000 more kill compare to the escape is not much if we compare the huge number. Im bad at math but this is less then 2 kill per game for the killer.

The time range covers the entire life of the game, including the period where Borrowed Time and Dead Hard weren't even in the game, so yeah, it makes sense that Self-Care is so high up. If you limited it to just the past year, Self-Care probably wouldn't even be in the top 5.

Don't take this harshly, but most conversations with you have been inane. I'm not interested in engaging in exercises in futility. So, don't be offended, but I just won't reply to you in general.
1 -
It's a simple question. Your hypothesis just sounds like a typical conspiracy theory: no tangible benefit to the group that's supposedly lying, but you should doubt them anyway because they're both incompetent enough to make it super obvious that they're lying, and also devious enough to deceive you (again, for no benefit).
PS: You can just not reply if you don't want to reply.

How can you know how many kills per match based on escapes & kills only?
0 -
Self care used to be great before they nerfed it and it shows when they take stats all the way from 2017 to now and it's still in the top even though it's not used very much at all anymore as of recently , on average probably one player per trial has it from my experiences
0 -
I think it's just incredibly common against the majority of players, which is casual 8 - 16 ranked players.
1 -
Wraith being the most used killer was a surprise to me, but since it's across all ranks, it makes sense.
0 -
Yea, he's free, he's always been pretty average, now he's pretty strong, the more shocking one for me (pun not intended) is Doctor being 3rd.
0 -
Because an escape is someone who wasn't killed? They're directly proportional (except for DC's which until this chapter weren't too common)
If the average is 2 kills and 2 escapes, then kills and escapes would be equal. DC's shouldn't by a huge factor, because the few times it occurs (before this chapter) a survivor DC often leads to more kills in that match, and a killer DC results in 4 escapes.
1.8bn kills and 1.5bn escapes shows that the average kill rate per game is around 2.2/4, so very slightly higher than what would be deemed a 'draw'.

I see what you're saying but the person I replied to said that the kill rate would be below 2, so I was more interested in their working out.
0 -
Im wrong some other guy correct me on another post. The killer have a 55% kill rate sorry
0 -
That's fine I was curious about your working out is all, have a good day! :)

Forum users be like:
"I'm gonna use these stats just so I can push my agenda"
5 -
My working was awful XD i just told myself if its a 2v1 then with a 50% kill rate the number would be 1,5b escape and kill so i just transform this in a 4v1 so i add 3b aurvivor lol
When you dont do math all the good equation you learn during school are easily forgetable XD
0 -
Yea probably but still doesn't help the fact it looks quite satisfying.
1 -
In looks interesting for sure.
Sometimes i wish BHVR would make all stats transparent for everyone. With filter options, time frames, etc.
0 -
I see him atleast 1/5 games
0 -
I think you wish behaviour was transparent in general lol
1 -
Pretty much what I expected bar self care and BT. I would have expected Spine Chill, Sprint Burst and Balanced to be in there. Doctor probably more popular than Wraith but low ranks is full of them.
0 -
Self Care isn’t so surprising. I think EVERY new player probably uses Self Care.
0 -
Don’t forget that Wraiths accessible in the base game, and anyone doing a weekend trial. Invisibility is always going to be appealing to beginners.
1 -
i saw doctor nearly every third game in 2020, but right now they're not common anymore (fortunately).
0 -
im doubtful of that, honestly. Self care would likely still be top 3 i reckon. Self Care being a 5th killer perk is a funny meme and all but in reality its a lifesaver. teammates are too unpredictable, but self care will always be there for you.
I dont use self care personally but ive been saved by it a lot too.
0 -
The perks are spot on
0 -
Yeah, kinda
0 -
quite easy honestly...
you add the sacrifices and escapes to get 3.348.239.570
that's all survivors in every trial (ignoring the ones that got killed) so we divide that by 4 to get the number of trials
837.059.892,5 trials. (the .5 comes from the missing number of killed survivors)
killers have 1.848.239.570 sacrifices total
which gives about 2.21 sacrifices per trial on average.
if we add the survivors killed by original killers... we get 955.797.875,25 trials
giving a sacrifice/kill rate of about 2.43 sacrifices/kills per trial.
