Flashbang or flashlight?
What do you prefer?
I feel like flashbangs are just easier flashlight saves.Even tho nobody ive ever played with has got one right.

Its not easier, the reason is because the timer is considerably strict, you basically need to be RIGHT THERE the moment the person gets picked up

I prefer flashbangs for normal use. Much more consistent, unexpected and can get blinds mid chase.
As for saves, definitely flashlight. You need to be really really close to the killer to get flashbang saves and the killer can always look up if it's a bit too late.

Yeah but the timing is really tight which means you have to be much closer and it leaves you prone to killer baiting a pickup and since you need to run closer, your footsteps will be louder. It sounds good on paper but very difficult to pull off. Requires some luck.

Flashbangs can be used for saves when the killer is facing the wall.
I think flashlights are more consistent though. But who knows?

I have been flashlighted while looking away. I have never been flashbanged despite sometimes directly looking at it out of curiosity as to what just moved. Just saiyan.

Although flashbang can make saves much more easier or might be used as a distraction, flashlights are still my go to.
Mainly due to how versatile flashlights usually are not only can you flashlight save or blind the killer. You can also counter Hag's traps, ability to get your teammates attention or communicate in a way, ability to get the killer's attention, and you can extend the life or make the flashlight even better with add-ons.

Flashbangs are more fun, but flashlights are easier to use. I'm not entirely sure which I'd prefer. Probably flashbangs just for the fun aspect.

Flashbangs I enjoy going against flashbangs more than flashlights
And when playing survivor I would rather have my teammates use medkits and toolboxes but I would prefer flashlights only if they are actually blinding killers and getting saves with it(most games I played as survivor they either rarely blind the killer or never go for saves)
