Well I see why no one plays the Plague
If you get paired with survivors with 100+ ping your pukes will make the hit noise, but not infect. Red puke will just go right through them or hit them but not damage them. They can just spam cleanse. Prob one of the most unfun killers.

She would be very fun to play if that wasn't the case. It's such a shame because I love her power and I find her to be one of my favorite killers to go against.

Plague's power was effectively gutted by the servers as her power has extremely unreliable hit detection.
The issue is just how the developers made her power as its not a stream(The "Vomit Flamethrower") but a very wonky "Vomit machinegun" as the devs called it.
Aka it shoots out small shoots every ~.5 seconds which due to how the net code currently is causes a lot of issues with that many projectiles.
Along with the fact that the steam can hit but not the bullets causing what looked like hit shots to miss meanwhile the quantity of projectiles seem like too much for the server to handle/track.

In my experience it's generally the opposite. Her vomit clearly does not hit me and I literally see it hit the ground behind me but I become infected. It gets even more aggravating with her corrupt purge.

This is true, but also she's slightly bugged too in the manner that survivors WILL cough and hurl as if they've been infected, but they won't get infected. That's just to add to the insult already.

Yep and I think that's part of the server's not being able to handle/track properly how many projectiles she shoots.
Aka the player's client sees where all the projectiles should be and thus plays the proper animation but the server can't keep track of the shot and think it misses so the other player doesn't get hit on its end.
I mean she shoots a lot more projectiles per second then even the Trickster does(outside of main event).

For a long time I thought plague was one of the most fun killers to play until I started playing as her.
